Pioneering Rap Music

By The Clash

Kurtis Blow was the bands first introduction to rap. Rap music and seeing young people on the streets of NYC with boomboxes inspired the_clash_to write ‘The Magnificent Seven’ as a salute. Their Time Square show spurned on a riot for the first time since a Frank Sinatra show. Featuring music from The Plasmatics who blew up a car on stage in NY (Photo copyright Pennie Smith)
