This week on Openly Outspoken, friend and returning guest Jay Doran interviews me. He asks me about overcoming doubt, growing up poor, personal growth, talking about politics and how it has affected business, and more. Ever since Jay Doran was a child his curiosity around culture emulated from the core of his being. Every thought, word, and action that Jay had to face unresolved prepared him for who he is today. Jay believes that due to his innate curiosity and the knowledge that he was adopted catapulted his psyche into a far-off land of emotional distancing, rationalization, and externalization of his own emotions toward entrepreneurship. At a young age Jay was closed off, shutting others out, and always contemplating his entrepreneurial future. Jay is a self-motivated being always obsessed with understanding himself and his place in the world. He believes he solves the necessary, inevitable, and valuable problems that arise in every business. Jay does this with immense gratitude, satisfaction, and responsibility; every day thus proving that Culture Matters. Connect with JayEmail: jennaculturematters@gmail.comInstagram: @jaydoran_theculturemanOpenly Outspoken with Jeremy Adams is a podcast for authentic discussions on current events, business, politics, science, and more with some of the world’s best and brightest thought leaders. Returning guest Jay Doran and I dive deep into prejudice, our progress as humans, language, and more this week on Openly Outspoken!Ever since Jay Doran was a child his curiosity around culture emulated from the core of his being. Discipline comes naturally to Jay as he believes that is where value comes from. Jay’s work is very meaningful and helps many people because he is not only a teacher but also a student and Jay knows that it will stay that way forever.Over the last decade after working from his entrepreneurial slumber where all of his focus was on building, earning, and yearning, he shifted gears. Jay’s focus then became wholeheartedly to find the answers to the questions he had surrounding what culture is, what listening is, what thinking is, what truth is, how people can align their beliefs, how a business maintains a value system, and what a business is. Today, Jay has the answers to those questions he has aggressively sought after and he believes he solves the necessary, inevitable, and valuable problems that arise in every business. Jay does this with immense gratitude, satisfaction, and responsibility; every day thus proving that Culture Matters. Openly Outspoken with Jeremy Adams is a podcast for authentic discussions on current events, business, politics, science, and more with some of the world’s best and brightest thought leaders. This week's episode of Openly Outspoken features Richie McPeak. We talk about surviving cancer and COVID, immune system improvement, the importance of removing shame around mental illness, and more. Don't miss this one. Richie’s passion for studying food medicine spans 20+ years. Starting in 1996, Richie stocked the shelves of his family’s health food store where he spent time studying the benefits of organic fruits, vegetables, spices, herbs, mushrooms, and Probiotics. He listened to consumers and their families and the healthy goodness they were seeking. The interaction and trust that occurs while handing people products and looking them in the eyes is something he has carried with him throughout his journey to create clean, organic, plant-based gummy supplements and Probiotics.Richie then began education, sales, and product branding for innovative food-based companies who created organic products with fruits, spices, vegetables, and mushrooms in the plant-based vitamin supplements industry.Inspired while having lunch with his kindergarten son, Conner, in the early 2000s, Richie noticed a lack of fruits, vegetables, and spices in kids’ products. Richie and his family created the first kids and adult certified organic, plant-based gummy supplements with the USDA Organic Seal, European Union Seal, and non-GMO project verification. These delicious supplements were placed worldwide in top retailers such as Publix, Wegmans, and H-E-B, plus thousands of health food stores and households globally.Richie’s fun facts - He can ride a horse backward, wrestled in Mexico, and created the world’s first certified organic, non-GMO project verified organic gummy supplements for kids and adults.Learn more here: mcpeakmarket.comOpenly Outspoken with Jeremy Adams is a podcast for authentic discussions on current events, business, politics, science, and more with some of the world’s best and brightest thought leaders. This week on Openly Outspoken I sit down with Jay Doran, friend and CEO of Culture Matters. We talk through a wide range of topics, including what free speech and running a business have to do with each other, almost getting lost at sea, and maskers versus anti-maskers.Ever since Jay Doran was a child his curiosity around culture emulated from the core of his being. Discipline comes naturally to Jay as he believes that is where value comes from. Jay’s work is very meaningful and helps many people because he is not only a teacher but also a student and Jay knows that it will stay that way forever. Over the last decade after working from his entrepreneurial slumber where all of his focus was on building, earning, and yearning, he shifted gears. Get in touch with Jay:Email: jennaculturematters@gmail.comInstagram: @jaydoran_theculturemanFacebook: Jay DoranOpenly Outspoken with Jeremy Adams is a podcast for authentic discussions on current events, business, politics, science, and more with some of the world’s best and brightest thought leaders. Eszylfie Taylor is the guest on this episode of Openly Outspoken, where we discuss how he got into the finance industry and why choosing to look at the glass half full is a huge part of his success. Eszylfie and I also talk about racism, privilege, the future of the market, and more. Eszylfie Taylor is the founder and president of Taylor Insurance and Financial Services located in the financial district of Pasadena, California, and serves as financial advisor to individuals, business owners, and high net worth families. He attended Concordia University on a basketball scholarship and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management. Prior to founding his own company, he was a standout financial advisor at New York Life, making Chairman’s Council and finishing his career there as the highest producing advisor in the history of the African American market.Early on in his career, Mr. Taylor had a breakthrough that centered around how to improve his market and focus on solving problems, not selling products. Naturally, he built upon this and used his successes and failures as teaching tools that would contribute to the start of The Taylor Method, a sales process for financial advisors.Mr. Taylor has been a Million Dollar Round Table Top of the Table producer since 2011, which places him in the top 1% of advisors worldwide. In 2015, he was the recipient of NAIFA’s Advisor Today Top 4 Under Forty award. In 2018, he was featured as THE financial advisor in a national LinkedIn commercial campaign called “In it together.”Through all the success, Eszylfie has continued to contribute to his community. Since 2003, his nonprofit, Future Stars, has been hosting a basketball camp for underserved youth in the community, instilling in them the tools he uses to achieve success: hard work, perseverance, integrity, and sacrifice. You can get in touch with him here: https://www.instagram.com/eszylfietaylorhttps://www.taylorinsfin.com/Openly Outspoken with Jeremy Adams is a podcast for authentic discussions on current events, business, politics, science, and more with some of the world’s best and brightest thought leaders. This father and son duo (who happen to be former business partners of mine) have spent their careers helping entrepreneurs grow their businesses. They tell me what kinds of business opportunities get them excited, and on the flip side, what turns them away from certain companies. He is currently involved in dozens of different companies while providing guidance and education to thousands of entrepreneurs around the globe. Brian has worked closely with Fortune 500 companies, top influencers and thought leaders, and today’s brightest business minds.
