Heart-centered Tradesmen know that homeowners aren't dollar signs; they're human beings. They understand that the ultimate root of a sale is building a relationship with the homeowners. If you build that relationship and build that rapport, your service is only a byproduct. And as promised, my guest this week knows how to add value to gain the trust of homeowners.   This week, I am talking with Craig Bouthiette, Area Sales Manager at Owens Corning, about the importance of bringing value to the homeowner. Craig has been in the Trades Industry for 10+ years, and he credits his success to the relationships with his homeowners.    In this episode, Craig talks in-depth about how simply lowering your prices can ultimately stunt your company's growth. We also discuss the importance of educating homeowners rather than giving them a fixed price point, what it means to own your value in your company, and what homeowners desire the most.    Topics Discussed:   How to find the true needs of the homeowner to gain their TRUST EDUCATING the homeowners' rather than simply lowering your price How to own your VALUE and not undersell your company Why it's essential to stick with the INTEGRITY of your business   The Nail Method is the step-by-step blueprint on how to increase revenue, decrease expenses so that you can gain more clients, and give uninterrupted time to your family…    ...Without the stress of having to check your phone for new jobs or follow-ups before bed.    Get access to the FREE NAIL Method here: https://heartcenteredtradesmen.com

Communication is vital, and if you are not effectively communicating with your clients (and potential clients), you will spend more of your time on the phone playing catch up than actually finishing the job.    This week, I share the keys to getting paid in full before your jobs are completed, how to book clients out for months on end, and how to stop your phone from ringing non-stop.    As I shared in Episode 46, setting criteria for your appointments creates the standard of who you want to work with. The next step is communicating how you want to work with them. Gone are the days of the "hustle" and "grind" culture. It's time to start implementing systems and processes to streamline more effective communication upfront to save you from headaches in the long run.    Heart-Centered Tradesmen, stay tuned for next week as I have Craig from Owens Corning coming on to discuss the advantages of selling value to your customers. Whether you're a roofing company or not, this conversation is jam-packed with value on how to pre-sell homeowners on why you're better than the next company. Topics Discussed: Going against the grain of the “Hustle” and “Grind” culture  Implementing Systems and Processes to minimize burnout How to minimize the amount of work long-term to increase production  Creating a new mindset around selling the “Value” rather than just a job   The Nail Method is the step-by-step blueprint on how to increase revenue, decrease expenses so that you can gain more clients, and give uninterrupted time to your family…    ...Without the stress of having to check your phone for new jobs or follow-ups before bed.    Get access to the FREE NAIL Method here: https://heartcenteredtradesmen.com

It's no secret that not all appointments are created equal. Anyone in a service-based industry will tell you that not every lead is golden. However, there are automations you can set in place to ensure you're not wasting more of your time (and potential homeowners' time as well).     This week, I am sharing the KEY to setting notch sales appointments in the trades industry: Pre-qualifying your appointments.    Most tradesmen that have a lack of appointments become focused on lead generation. It's not uncommon to fill a calendar with bs appointments; this is why prequalifying is essential. Your sales team can only take so many appointments in a week, and you better ensure they are the highest quality appointments in your schedule.   Heart-Centered Tradesmen, stay tuned for next week as I'm diving further into the specific prequalification and specific processes we are engaged within ongoing communication with customers. Topics Discussed: 5 prequalifying questions that set my sales team for optimal appointments  Don't be afraid to say no to a potential job; Get clear on your parameters The 1 question we ask every call to tell if the customer is ready to move forward How to build rapport with your homeowners; Their problem is your solution   The Nail Method is the step-by-step blueprint on how to increase revenue, decrease expenses so that you can gain more clients, and give uninterrupted time to your family…    ...Without the stress of having to check your phone for new jobs or follow-ups before bed.    Get access to the FREE NAIL Method here: https://heartcenteredtradesmen.com

Even in the Trades Industry, sales are a process. But it doesn't have to be a long, complex, tiring process. Homeowners aren't looking for the "cheapest" service; they're simply looking for contractors they can know, like, and trust. And it can be as easy as setting up a simple automation.    This week, I am going to share the strategic text automation that is getting over 85% of homeowners to reply with their availability for an appointment. The best way to scale your company? Customized and thoughtful automation. Gone are the days of reaching for your phone and impatiently waiting for that next phone call. All of this is done in the background while you can enjoy spending time with the ones you love most.    Heart-Centered Tradesmen, stay tuned for next week as I share the keys to setting top-notch appointments that maximize your profits while saving your company time! Heart Centered Tradesmen, do you own a company?  Have you put the work in to build a company or do you work for your business?   If your business can't survive without you, you have a business, not a company.   Many tradesmen believe that they are an entrepreneur because they own a business. But, they don't realize that to be an entrepreneur, they must work on their business, not inside of it. Many of these tradesmen are actually just employees of their own business.    This week, I am dispelling the myth behind “entrepreneurship” and why a “business” isn’t a “company”. Too often individuals feel trapped inside of their business because they don’t know how to operate as a company.    But as I share the major difference between the two and how to implement the first 3 steps of the NAIL Method into your business, you can start leveraging your relationships to create your own company. Topics Discussed: The MAJOR difference between owning a business vs. a company Dispelling the myths of Entrepreneurship The importance of implementing systems and automations  Shifting away from a scarcity mindset to an abundances mindset   The Nail Method Toolbox is the step by step blueprint on how to increase revenue, decrease expenses so that you can gain more clients and give uninterrupted time to your family…    ...Without the stress of having to check your phone for new jobs or follow ups before bed.  Get access to the FREE NAIL Method Tool Box: https://heartcenteredtradesmen.com/nailmethod

One of the biggest misconceptions in the trades industry is that the more job offers you take, the bigger the pocketbook. However, that is simply not the case. It doesn’t matter if you are selling 20 roofs or 100 roofs. If you aren’t keeping track with your finances and fully optimizing your profitability, you could be losing thousands of dollars.    When it comes to tax planning, many tradesmen wait until tax season to gather their dashboard receipts and hire someone to put all together. But at the end of the day, they end up owing thousands of dollars to the government where they could have been saving money and maximizing their profits, and with less roofs sold!   This week, I am talking with Andrea Gray Financial Controller at the Lendwood Hazel Group. Andrea shares the biggest barriers for tradesmen getting their finances in check, the importance of tax planning ahead of tax season, and why every penny counts.    According to Andrea, one of the biggest setbacks for tradesmen is not seeing the value of bookkeeping until tax season. By scrambling last minute to get all of your books in order, you aren’t able to see the opportunities ahead of time to maximize your profits. Throughout our conversation, we also discuss the various layers of profitability and how to implement strategies to keep track of your expenses. Topics Discussed: The value of bookkeeping and job costing  Pinpointing opportunities for better profitability Why you need to always track where is the money going  Misconceptions in the trades industry How to maximize your profits  Why waiting until tax season is detrimental to your company’s growth   The Nail Method Toolbox is the step by step blueprint on how to increase revenue, decrease expenses so that you can gain more clients and give uninterrupted time to your family…    ...Without the stress of having to check your phone for new jobs or follow ups before bed.    Get access to the FREE NAIL Method Tool Box: https://heartcenteredtradesmen.com/nailmethod   Learn More about How You Can Save on Your Taxes: https://lenwoodhazeltax.com

There’s this idea in the trades industry that there aren’t good workers or that all the reliable employees are already taken. But this mentality is the reason why it’s hard to find “good help”. Many tradesmen believe that they can’t seem to retain employees or that they’re always chasing more dollars an hour. But, it’s not money they’re after, it’s security and purpose. Your ideal employee is out there. You just have to paint the picture for their future success.   This week, I am sharing the difference between an “employee mentality” and an individual building a career. It is all about the CULTURE, VISION, and PURPOSE behind your company that sets the stage for individual growth. If you want individuals to work for your company and stick with you for a lifetime, you need to change the way you think about the hiring process.    Money isn’t the only motive for a reliable, hard-working employee. You may think they’re simply chasing more dollar signs, but they’re actually chasing security for their family. The reason why it’s “hard to find good help” is because companies aren’t cultivating cultures with the employee in mind. If you can’t find individuals to help you run your company, your vision needs to be readjusted. Topics Discussed: Creating the culture you want to implement in your company Casting the vision for your employees future Thinking different about hiring new employees Why money isn’t the only motive individuals are seeking How to find the “right” employees for your company    The Nail Method Toolbox is the step by step blueprint on how to increase revenue, decrease expenses so that you can gain more clients and give uninterrupted time to your family…    ...Without the stress of having to check your phone for new jobs or follow ups before bed.  Get access to the FREE NAIL Method Tool Box: https://heartcenteredtradesmen.com/nailmethod

When you’re not hammering boards or nailing down the roof on the jobsite, how do you spend your “free time”? Odds are, most individuals in the Trades Industry worry about meeting deadlines, paying employees on time, and catching up on last minute errands for their business.    Working long hours, stressing about income, and finding time to eat a decent meal in between job sites isn’t what most tradesmen envision when they start their business. However, it doesn’t have to be this way. Tradesmen, it’s time you take back your schedule and start showing up for your community.    This week, I am speaking with Josh Ross, Owner of Energy Shield of the Lakes Region, about a shift he made for his company. Josh shares how he went from being a depressed, scrambled, employee of his business to a proud, time-freedom having owner. What began as a marketing and advertising call, quickly led to setting the foundation for a total rebrand of Energy Shield of the Lakes Region.   In this episode, we walk through the process of Josh going through the N.A.I.L. Method and how he was able to date his wife once again. Throughout our conversation, we also provide tangible actions that tradesmen can take to reap the same rewards. Topics Discussed: Why working long hours doesn’t equate to a successful company Proven N.A.I.L. Method tactics that actually work  Focusing on what tradesmen do best: building strong relationships Learning to step back and take a moment to breathe    The Nail Method Toolbox is the step by step blueprint on how to increase revenue, decrease expenses so that you can gain more clients and give uninterrupted time to your family…    ...Without the stress of having to check your phone for new jobs or follow ups before bed.    Get access to the FREE NAIL Method Tool Box: https://heartcenteredtradesmen.com/nailmethod   To learn more about Energy Shield of the Lakes Region visit:  www.energyshieldnh.com

What is the NAIL Method? N  A I  L - Leverage In this episode of Heart Centered Tradesmen, I share the last step of the NAIL Method: LEVERAGE. After you’ve checked your Numbers, set your Automations, Implemented strategic systems, now you can focus on Leveraging your business. Above all else, building new relationships and nurturing the relationships you already have is the most important aspect to your business. Whether it’s through organic marketing or simple follow-up calls with potential customers, honoring the relationships you have built is the key to owning a successful company.  The reason why the NAIL Method is successful is because it allows you the time freedom to step out of your business and focus on the friends, family, and community you are providing for. What is the NAIL Method? N  A I - Implementation L In this episode of Heart Centered Tradesmen, I am nerding out on all things MARKETING. Marketing is more about spending a little bit of time on the backend than it is about spending a lot of money on the frontend.  In fact, I would highly suggest you dial in your ORGANIC advertising and marketing before you worry about spending money on systems that don’t work. And yes, there is a major difference between advertising and marketing!  While most individuals parade around as “marketers”, they are actually just advertisers. Without setting organic marketing in place, advertising only works as long as you spend the money. However, marketing is more informative and allows potential customers know, like, and trust you before they ever spend a dime on your business.  If you want to learn how to implement the NAIL Method into your business, be sure to tune in to Episode 39 to learn more about the final tool: LEVERAGETopics Discussed: The importance of getting your customers to Know, Like, and Trust you Individuals are NOT revenue streams, they are human beings Breaking down the jargon behind “Marketing” and “Advertising” Relevant questions to ask yourself before spending $ on Marketing The importance of Brand Recognition and how to build trust with your client Why you need to worry about Organic Marketing ALWAYS before Paid Marketing Download the FREE NAIL METHOD Toolbox:  The Nail Method Toolbox is the step by step blueprint on how to increase revenue, decrease expenses so that you can gain more clients and give uninterrupted time to your family…  ...Without the stress of having to check your phone for new jobs or follow ups before bed.  Get access to the FREE NAIL Method Tool Box: https://heartcenteredtradesmen.com/nailmethod

What is the NAIL Method? N  A - Automation I L Most people start their own businesses with the dream of freeing their calendar for the things that truly matter. However, many of these business owners come to find out that the time freedom they were hoping for is quickly turned into stress, anxiety, and worry.  But what if I told you it doesn’t have to be this way? What if I told you there were tools to help you free up your calendar AND grow your business? In this episode of Heart Centered Tradesmen, I am sharing one of my favorite parts of the NAIL METHOD: AUTOMATION. Learning how to automate simple, daily tasks that take up most of your day can save your marriage! No, seriously. Being able to automate things like paying your employees digitally instead of having to sign checks every week literally gives you back the time to spend with your spouse and/or children.  By setting up SOPs, automating simple tasks, and tracking your schedule, you create time for date nights, ball games, and even establishing a strong morning routine.  If you want to learn how to implement the NAIL Method into your business, be sure to tune in to Episode 38 to learn more about: IMPLEMENTATION and how NOT to spend money on what is free for you to implement. Topics Discussed: The reason why most individuals start their own businesses  Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as the baseline to creating systems  Finding time to build relationships and grow the business The importance of Time Management and how to AUTOMATE daily tasks Download the FREE NAIL METHOD Toolbox:  The Nail Method Toolbox is the step by step blueprint on how to increase revenue, decrease expenses so that you can gain more clients and give uninterrupted time to your family…  ...Without the stress of having to check your phone for new jobs or follow ups before bed.  Get access to the FREE NAIL Method Tool Box: https://heartcenteredtradesmen.com/nailmethod

What is the NAIL Method?   N - Numbers A I L   When it comes to your business, the first thing you want to prioritize is your finances. Where is your money going each month? How do you keep track of business expenses? Do people owe you money that you haven’t yet received? I’ve seen it time and time again where tradesmen are caught in the vicious cycle of chasing their money without ever implementing the right systems in place. Before I gained equity in Energy Shield of the Lakes Region, Co-Owner Josh Ross found himself spinning his wheels on where his money was coming in and going out. Receipts thrown in the backseat of the pickup truck and invoices scattered around Josh knew he needed to make a change if he wanted to grow and scale his company.   The first step?    Evaluating and tracking cash flow and the current state of your financial affairs. By locating where each dollar was being spent and who was cashing in, Josh was able to increase his revenue all the while decreasing his expenses.    The best part?  Josh decreased time spent on the jobsite and increased time spent at home with his loved ones.  If you want to learn how to implement the NAIL Method into your business, be sure to tune in to Episode 37 where I share my favorite step: AUTOMATION Topics Discussed: How to nurture the clients you already have Dispelling the myth behind money solving all your problems How to evaluate and track your cash flow Ensuring a strong foundation for your business Scaling your business in order to buy back your time   The Nail Method Toolbox is the step by step blueprint on how to increase revenue, decrease expenses so that you can gain more clients and give uninterrupted time to your family…  ...Without the stress of having to check your phone for new jobs or follow ups before bed.  Get access to the FREE NAIL Method Tool Box: https://heartcenteredtradesmen.com/nailmethod

Welcome to the very first episode of Heart Centered Tradesmen!  Last season, we focused on Heart Centered Hustlers but now, we are stepping into the TRADES. In this season, I share tools and techniques to MAXIMIZE your revenue and most importantly, your relationships! And as we hear and learn from leading individuals in the service-based industry, my mission is to help tradesmen (and women!) scale their businesses and hang up their toolbelts early.  Today, I share how I, a therapist turned Digital Marketer, gained equity in a roofing company after taking it from $800k to $2.4m in 14 months all while cutting expenses by $6,500 per month using the NAIL Method.  Too often business owners are sold the lie that increasing revenue is the only way to grow your business. But did you know that the best way to scale your business is actually by stepping out of your business? The quicker you are able to oversee your company, the sooner your company can expand.    Want to learn more about the NAIL Method? Be sure to stay tuned next week as I share each step of the NAIL method and how you can implement it in your business.  Topics Discussed: How the NAIL Method increases revenue while cutting expenses Why you need to set up strategic systems in place in order to grow  How to hang up your toolbelt early and focus on your relationships  Focusing on lead generation AFTER creating the organic systems  What you can expect from Heart Centered Tradesmen    Download the FREE NAIL METHOD Toolbox:  The Nail Method Toolbox is the step by step blueprint on how to increase revenue, decrease expenses so that you can gain more clients and give uninterrupted time to your family…  ...Without the stress of having to check your phone for new jobs or follow ups before bed.  Get access to the FREE NAIL Method Tool Box: https://heartcenteredtradesmen.com/nailmethod

What do your calls currently look like? What does your schedule currently look like? If you were to look over the last month of networking calls, Zoom meetups, and “get to know you” follow-ups, what would they look like to you? Truth is, many individuals are bound to their calendars and taking calls they don’t actually want to be taking. Lesson #14 of what I have learned in entrepreneurship over the years is this: Stop showing up for the “Takers”, your calendar opens us to serve the “Givers”! How many calls and meetups from your calendar actually moved the needle for you and your business? When was the last time you truly connected with someone else over the phone and not because they were trying to sell you something?  This lesson has been a tough one to learn and one that I have had to learn time after time. Don’t make the same mistakes I’ve made. Stop penciling every hour of every day to calls that don’t serve you or your business. Unless you truly value the relationships you have already cultivated online, it’s not worth it to show up for the “takers”. Instead, use your time wisely for those who give with our expectations on the other end.  Topics Discussed: The importance of implementing healthy boundaries in your calendar Creating the space to evaluate the lessons learned in entrepreneurship  Why I’m pursuing the entrepreneurship journey  What happens when we lead with our insecurities & overdeliver our value The dangers in showing your Pokerface in business Learning to give without expectations and selfish motives Learn More About Heart Centered Hustlers:https://www.heartcenteredhustlers.com

Stop trying to fill roles that you’re not equipped to fill! Last week, I shared about my super painful and expensive lesson of trying to be my own attorney. After years of trying to fill the wrong role in my business, I realized that to level up, I needed to call the experts.  This week, I am talking with my personal business attorney, Nicholas A. Dupre. Nick is Board Certified in Estate Planning and Probate and is a native Houstonian in his 15th year of practice. Before becoming an owner and partner of his own firm in 2017, Nick worked 12+ years for two premier boutique firms in the Houston and Woodlands area.  Nick assists and protects small to midsize businesses. His work concentrates on probate, estate and gift tax planning, business planning, taxation, and asset protection. Nick also focuses on estate administration, charitable organizations, real estate transactions, tax controversies, and intellectual property transactions. Nick is also married to his chemical engineer wife of 16 years and has four amazing children (3 girls and 1 boy) 10 years old and younger.   Join us this week as we discuss how to understand asset protections and bylaws for your business. We also talk about different vetting practices to ensure the right attorney for you.  Don’t make the same mistakes I did. Hire the right business attorney for you. There are a lot of lessons that I’ve learned over the years in entrepreneurship. However, some of these lessons have cost me more than others. And this week’s lesson is probably one of the most expensive and super painful lessons that I’ve had to learn.  Lesson #12: Playing an attorney cost me over $35,000 and I don’t want you to have to learn this the hard way. If you are not a licensed attorney, then you shouldn’t be playing one in your business. I no longer pretend to be an attorney because I still make mistakes. When you play a role that you’re not meant to fill, it can be costly. Not only can it cost you major financial losses, it can also cost you your friendships and future partnerships. Join me this week as I share why I no longer partner with clients without a legally binding document and why my attorney plays a major role in my business ventures. Be sure to stay tuned as next week, I interview my attorney. We discuss the legal side of how to start your business, how to protect your business, and what kind of decisions you need to be making. Heart Centered Hustlers, don’t let simple mistakes cost you your future success. Topics Discussed: Viewing an Attorney as both an investment and security for your business Why a “Man’s Handshake” isn’t the same as a formal written agreement How contracts save friendships and partnerships within entrepreneurship Why financial loss isn’t the only thing at stake without an attorney  How doing your Due Diligence is a game changer for your business Learn More About Heart Centered Hustlers:https://www.heartcenteredhustlers.com

Every single one of us has some story that we’re a victim to. For some of us, we believe that we lack financial status so we live in fear of the future. For others, we believe that we’re incapable of being loved therefore we struggle with relationships. Regardless of what story you keep telling yourself, you can change the course of your life. Once you take full responsibility and ownership over your past, only then are you able to change the story you’re telling yourself. Are you tired of hiring coaches that aren’t good at what they’re charging you to do? Have you recently had to let go of a consultant that wasn’t serving you or your business? This week, I am sharing Lesson #11 that I have learned in the Entrepreneurial space.  Don’t hire the wrong coach or consultant! Too often individuals are getting screwed out of their pocketbook on false claims of building their network. If your coach or consultant isn’t trained well in what they do, it’s not worth the investment. Just like you wouldn’t hire a baseball coach for a football team, you wouldn’t hire a coach outside of your niche.  After countless coaches over the years, I have learned that the best coaches are the ones who aren’t afraid of getting their hands dirty. It’s easy to say all the right things on a Facebook status or Instagram caption, but the real proof is in the results. In order to hire the RIGHT coach for you, look for those who have been exactly where you are.  Topics Discussed: Red flags and warning signs of a wrong coach or consultant Learning to take necessary pauses in your business Recognizing that not everyone is a fit How to expand your Personal Development.  Learn More About Heart Centered Hustlers: https://www.heartcenteredhustlers.com  Learn More About Start to Finish Marketing:  www.starttofinishmarketing.com

Tired of getting screwed over by lead generation companies who care more about your pocketbook than your mission? Our guest this week shares effective and tangible ways to lead with both honesty and integrity when it comes to your ideal audience.  This week, I am talking with Bobby Wall, the Media Buying Expert, on how to bring “humanity” back into Digital Marketing.  After countlessly seeing people burned from lead generation companies, Bobby prides himself on endlessly serving whoever he is working with. Sick of spending money for little to no payout? Tired of investing in strategies that no longer work? I get it. We’ve all been there. We’ve all thrown money at false marketing schemes in hopes of hitting the jackpot. But what if I told you that you didn’t have to treat marketing like a casino? What if there was a better way to build your business than unsafe bets? This week, I am sharing with you Lesson #10 that I have learned in business. When you treat Marketing like a casino, you lose a lot more than the money you threw on the table. So many people believe that by placing all your bets into one slot machine, the payout is exponential.  But that’s NOT how Marketing works! Marketing is more about building long-lasting relationships than chasing dollar signs. Instead of hoping to hit the jackpot, learn how to leverage those relationships for the long haul. Don’t let the bright lights and fancy card tricks blind you from investing in your future.  Topics Discussed: Why you don’t have to spend millions of dollars on Ad Spend to be successful Focusing on backend systems & dialing in your business for a better ROI The hard truth about treating marketing & relationships like casinos Knowing when to increase your marketing efforts for your business Learn More About Start to Finish Marketing Visit: www.starttofinishmarketing.com

Showing up as your most authentic self in your business doesn’t always sound “Sexy”. In a society that thrives off of get-rich-quick schemes, it’s no wonder why people are starving for ethical relationships now more than ever.  This week, I am continuing my conversation with Joe DeMaria, Owner of Teach to Scale, about leaning into Integrity despite uncomfortable situations. As we discuss why focusing solely on cash activities stifles your confidence, connection, and creativity, Joe drops major truth bombs along the way about what it means to become a bigger and better version of yourself.  The biggest takeaway from this episode?  Joe shares that, “The difference between surviving and not surviving is how capable you are of seeing the obstacle and not shying from it.”  Instead of always trying to circumvent the obstacles that show up in our lives and in our businesses, it’s when we face them head-on do we gain the most credibility and exponential growth. Leaders who are capable of pulling up their sleeves and getting their hands dirty discover the deeper meaning behind success.  Topics Discussed: How “Think Time” increases our chances of success Learning to find comfort in uncomfortable situations Why shying away from obstacles hurts your Integrity The importance of developing your own internal, stoic philosophy Learning to say “No” to people’s perception of who you are How to leverage your time more effectively The essence of rapport building and focusing on relationships Learn More About Start to Finish Marketing Visit: www.starttofinishmarketing.com Connect with Joe DeMaria Attend Office Hours:  https://www.teachtoscale.com/office-hours-invitation/  Get on a Call with Joe: https://www.teachtoscale.com/teach-to-scale-course-curriculum-builder/

How do you define success? Is it a continuous cash flow? Large streams of income? Or is it something beyond a dollar amount? What if there was something larger in scale that carried more weight than gold? Our guest this week dispels the myth that wealth is more than commas in your bank account. This week, I am speaking with Joe DeMaria, Owner of Teach to Scale, about leveraging relationships and why cash flow is a poor indicator of success. Being one of the most sought after course creation consultants, Joe helps coaches, consultants, and peak performers create online courses and group coaching programs to increase their transformative impact on their audiences, expand their product offerings, and create new pillars of revenue in their businesses. According to Joe Polish, "[Joe DeMaria is] … one of the top course creators on the planet and has unique talent with taking expertise and packaging it." As Joe shares his personal journey of leveraging relationships, we discuss the importance of surrounding yourself with those levels above you. When you seek out mentors to help guide you, you begin to level up in more ways than the dollars in your pocket. True connections and long-lasting relationships go further than simple $1 for $1 transactions.  Topics Discussed: How to leverage relationships that benefit every one involved Why seeking out cash only stifles your growth What separates successful business owners from those who quit early The lessons learned from hiring a powerful mentor Why success isn’t defined by a number in your bank account Learn More About Start to Finish Marketing Visit: www.starttofinishmarketing.com Connect with Joe DeMaria   Attend Office Hours:    https://www.teachtoscale.com/office-hours-invitation/ Get on a Call with Joe: https://www.teachtoscale.com/teach-to-scale-course-curriculum-builder/

Some days you’ve just gotta rip the e-brake and take time for evaluation and self-reflection. Taking time to pause, sit back, and think about your current circumstances can be one of the most humbling experiences. Did you know that branding and marketing are not the same things? While they work in tandem with one another, they’re not synonymous. Branding is your story and who you are but marketing is how you tell your story and who you tell your story to. Our guest this week shares with us the number one mistake people make when branding and marketing themselves and their business.  This week, I am speaking with Frank Crinite, Sales Performance Coach, Keynote Speaker, & Trainer. We discuss the difference between branding and marketing and why you need to build a strong trust factor with your clients they can depend on. Did you know that there is a major difference between sales funnels and marketing your product? Although both work well in tandem with each other, sales funnels only capture the effectiveness of marketing. However, when implemented in the right way, sales funnels and marketing can increase your revenue with an effective strategy and firm foundations. Our guest this week shares how he found freedom from leaning from his past marketing failures.  This week, I am speaking with Steve Larsen, Master Offer Crafter, Sales Funnel Creator, and host of Sales Funnel Radio to discuss the different levels of marketing and why sales funnels are only part of the equation. Society won’t tell you this but entrepreneurs don’t actually lack lead generation, but instead, they lack human connection. Most entrepreneurs are trying to figure out what’s next in their business and how to show up for their audience. But in fact, it’s our audience and potential clients that show us what’s next for our business and how we can show up for them. This week, I am sharing yet another lesson that I have learned in business and marketing and it’s that when they come, then it will be time to build. When your audience tells you they need a product or service from you, that is your golden opportunity to show up and serve your audience to the best of your ability. Too often entrepreneurs get stuck on promoting offers that their audience didn’t ask for. But when we slow down and intentionally listen to our clients, then we are able to create lifetime partners and relationships.   Topics Discussed: The layers of awareness from clients and potential clients Recognizing that where you're at is not where your clients are at  How to construct an offer around what your client truly wants Why clients tell US what's next and not the other way around How polling your audience on what they want is essential for growing your business.  Learn More About Start to Finish Marketing Visit: www.starttofinishmarketing.com

I don’t know who needs to hear this but you need to stop treating marketing like a random Tinder date. Marketing isn’t just a “one-night-stand” with random strangers on the internet. There are real people on the other side of your computer screen and we need to stop labeling people as “dead leads”.  This week, I am sharing why I started Start to Finish Marketing and why I don’t believe in “lead generation”. One of the major lessons I’ve learned since launching my business is that cultivating strong relationships with other individuals is far more important than any dollar amount. When you are providing value and consistently pouring into other people’s lives, you begin to realize that marketing is only a step in the right direction, not the end-all-be-all.  In order to gain the level of success you are trying to achieve, you are going to have to start treating people like epic human beings and not just a “swipe right” for financial gain.   Topics Discussed: Viewing marketing as the next open door to grow your business Debunking the myths behind “dead leads”  Providing value on the front end to gain community on the backend Recognizing marketing as more than just another Tinder date Learn More About Start to Finish Marketing Visit: www.starttofinishmarketing.com

However, our guest this week shares with us that only those who put in the work, day-in, and day-out, will be able to level up, both mentally and physically.   This week, I am talking with Dakota Cardosanto, owner of Broad Street Health and Performance, where he specializes in all things health, performance, and helping others be all that they can be. After joining the U.S. army in 2009, Dakota started coaching and learned to use fitness and working out as an escape during his downtime as an Army Paratrooper. As we discuss all things CrossFit, health, and fitness, Dakota shares why participation trophies do more harm than good and why resilience pays off in the end.   If you’re looking for insight on how to become the best version of yourself as well as tips and tricks on running an effective fitness business, then tune in to this episode of Heart-Centered Hustler$!   Topics Discussed: Understanding how CrossFit and business merge together The mindset behind scarcity vs abundance in health, fitness, & business Recognizing how participation trophies stunt growth and success Learning how to make decisions based on the greater good Disguising things we don’t want to do as hard things we can’t do The art of selling based on each individual Why being “good enough” doesn’t lead to success How to communicate with individuals to get the job done for the greater good    Learn More About Start to Finish Marketing Visit: www.starttofinishmarketing.com     Connect with Dakota Cardosanto   Website: https://www.broadstreetcrossfit.com    Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/BroadStreetCrossfit/  Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/broadstreetcrossfit/ Contact Broad Street Health & Performance     Address: 300 S. Entrepreneurship has become a dirty word for those in and out of the business industry. Too many times individuals have glamorized entrepreneurship as a “get rich quick” scheme only to leave others feeling stranded, taken advantage of, and let down. But as I share the number one lesson that I’ve learned from my entrepreneurship journey, my hope is that you stand back up after getting your teeth kicked in.    This week, I share with you the number 1 lesson that I have learned in entrepreneurship and how to implement it into your own business journey. From struggle to perseverance, I have learned that there is no fast track to success because it’s in the pain and struggle where you find yourself. There are levels to entrepreneurship, but that doesn’t mean you have to go at it alone.    Topics Discussed: Thinking outside of the box Cutting the red tape on “fast track” success  The levels to entrepreneurship Growing through struggle, pain, and letdowns  Why getting your teeth kicked in gives you confidence down the road    Learn More About Start to Finish Marketing Visit: www.starttofinishmarketing.com
