In today's episode, I have the pleasure of inviting Divij Bajaj. Having spent a considerable amount of his career in the lifestyle and education sector, serial entrepreneur Divij Bajaj shifted his focus to the nutraceuticals industry, when he founded Power Gummies in November 2018, advocating the mantra of “Health Powered by Happiness & backed by Science.'” The brand’s first product, a hair vitamin supplement, made from plant-based pectin, ten essential vitamins, biotin, and folic acid, was able to bridge the gap in the market for individuals who sought substitutes to traditional pills, to complement their daily beauty regime. Promoting the idea of beauty from within, Divij consciously took the decision to ensure that the formulation of the products was vegan, gluten-free, gelatin-free, and crafted cruelty-free, with the intention of making health, fun for all. His key leadership and market foresight helped create a brand presence that was memorable and impactful, by introducing the global trend of tasty chewable gummy vitamins, to the Indian market. Within six months of the brand’s commercial launch, Power Gummies was amongst the top three sellers, across all categories, on the Amazon launchpad. Power Gummies was met with intrigue and soon the brand's advocacy grew prominent among celebrities, influencers, and the public, giving rise to a community of beauty and wellness loyalists who have continued to support the brand, to this day. Since its inception, it has sold over 2 Million+ gummies and has made its way to be recognized as the Top Startup to Watch in 2020 by INC42, followed by the Most innovative product 2020 by Mint business. After witnessing the massive success of his first variant from the brand, Divij soon turned his focus to the fitness and health supplement industry, with plans to launch ‘The beach body’ gummies that help with fat burn and weight management, by increasing the metabolism rate in the body to speed up the fat burn process. These gummies are designed to be sugar-free, infused with the goodness of green coffee, amongst other ingredients. Divij plans to launch about 20 more variants, focusing on different health and wellness stressors and segments. Early on in 2020, Aesthetic Nutrition Pvt Ltd closed its Pre-Series A funding led by DSG Consumer Partners & Vcats. DSGCP works closely with Divij and his new product development team to design, develop and launch a portfolio of chewable functional and nutritional supplements. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app

In today's episode, I have the pleasure of inviting Sukriti Jindal Khaitan. A tireless champion for holistic wellness and mindful living, it was only a matter of time before Sukriti Jindal Khaitan decided to extend this ethos to the realm of beauty. In many ways, what truly distinguishes aša beauty, a brand she has co-created is her firm belief that luxury and sustainable, all-natural products can co-exist in a new realm of purposeful luxury. Sukriti credits her holistic ethos to her Eastern upbringing, which was offset by ample Western exposure during her formative years. Growing up in Hong Kong, she traveled abroad to study Economics and Psychology with a minor in Chinese and Business Studies at NYU, spending one semester in Florence. She continued to live and work in New York City for a year before heading home to India. Upon her return, she assumed the role of the Director of Jindal Naturecare Hospital, one of India’s most reputed naturopathy hospitals. In her spare time, Sukriti enjoys traveling around the world and connecting with different philosophies. She continues to take one self-development course a year. This diverse exposure has allowed her an opportunity to closely examine and compare Eastern alternative medical and wellness sciences such as Ayurveda and traditional Chinese medicine, with more contemporary Western concepts such as mind-body medicine. As a certified integrative nutrition health coach, Sukriti would find herself stocking up on clean beauty products during her travels. She was certain that there were many others like her, who were eager to seek out luxury beauty brands that were uncompromising in their outlook towards values and being cruelty-free, while also mindful about their social impact and environmental footprint. This inspired her to create a brand that would empower Indian women with clean beauty products they could rely on. Underlying all her efforts were her unshakable desire for goodness in the world and her primary goal of always living life without compromise. And so, joining hands with her mother-in-law Asha, she decided to combine her vast experiences and exposure to create a truly authentic clean beauty brand, named aša beauty. Today, Sukriti prides herself on being a complete aša woman – a woman who is committed to living a purposeful existence, and to making mindful, sustainable, and conscientious choices that enable her to look and feel like the best version of herself. Going forward, Sukriti is eager to be a thought-leader in this rapidly growing and evolving space. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app

In today's episode, I have the pleasure of inviting Rustom Patel. Rustom love affair with two-wheelers and passion for motorsports is not unknown. His is a name that hardly needs an introduction. Eight times Indian National Champion and 275 trophies are his prized possessions – that reflect his love and passion for two-wheelers. He started working on his beloved sport at a very young age, fulfilled several of his dreams, and has a bike training school in India to produce International stature bikers. In Rustom Patel's apartment, in the old, Art Deco-inspired Parsi neighborhood in Byculla, hangs a framed picture of him from 2001. It's easy to miss, hanging as it does amidst a jungle of brass – cups, shields, awards, mementos, citations – he has collected over a lifetime of racing atop two wheels. Over the years, it colonized all the shelf space in his apartment and threatened the cutlery in the kitchen. And this is just the metal he has collected. His brother Zubin and his cousin Kaizad, have a similar need for industrial quantities of Brasso – the brothers Patel have dominated the sport of motocross racing and off-road biking in India, from the late '80s to the late 2000s. The "Patels of Racing" they were called, and if you were a young speed junkie gunning the throttle for glory in those times, it was always a little annoying to see a Patel in the lineup. Rustom is currently KTM India Factory Rider, Brand Ambassador for Castrol Biking, and is the Racing India Head coach for Ajmera Realty. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app

In today's episode, I invited Amit Siingh. Amit is an entrepreneur by choice, MBA by design, and an engineer by default. An engineer by default- because my whole family is cluttered with engineers, so by default I got to do that. An MBA by design- It is the design of life that he did his MBA from IIM Ahmedabad, otherwise, he had cleared FMS Delhi twice and was not able to join it before joining IIM A. An entrepreneur by choice- Because in 2016, he made a choice which changed the course of his life and which was to quit his high paying job in Yes Bank and chose the path of which he calls 3F (Freedom, Financial, Fulfilment) through digital entrepreneurship. But he is not a typical IIM & IIT success story. It has been a story full of failures and some successes. It is full of struggles of all types- personal, financial, health, relationship. A long story for some other time. He has a unique experience of doing a 2 year MBA from IIM Ahmedabad after having more than 9 years of work experience and that too with a wife and a 3-year-old kid on the campus! Feroza as a performance coach, she is driven by her lifelong mission of helping people create change that is scientific, realistic in achievement and that eventually helps them self - develop in the long run. You will usually hear Feroza say, “Everybody and anybody can coach themselves, they just need discovery and some tough-love”. A common thread that you will also observe from her coaching testimonials is that she’s personally invested in the coachee; making change easy and practical to achieve, systematically designing the coaching journey with specified outcomes and is relentless in her pursuit to help coachees be a better version of themselves. Feroza is known in the industry as a learning leader who capitalizes on her 16 years of experience that has spanned across 130+ organizations, agnostic of industry, not only across India but US, China, Singapore, UAE, UK, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. Her core areas of expertise lie in CXO Coaching and Development, Building Organizational Learning Architecture, Measuring Impact through Learning Analytics & Neuroscience based Self - Development. Whether in her personal or professional life, trust & relatability are important qualities that she has managed to build successfully. For Feroza, authenticity is key. She is an ICF certified coach. Currently on the finishing lines of PCC. She has coached 46 unique individuals in the last 5 years from CXOs to First time managers, Professors, Start-up founders, Tech wizards, Women Entrepreneurs, IAS officers to Pro-athletes and LGBTQI professionals. Her expertise areas in performance coaching are Personal Growth, Leadership Development, Team Leadership, Growth Mindset, Self Confidence, Emotional Intelligence, Learning Agility, Career Transitions, Emotional Fitness, Lifestyle Habit Formation, Public Speaking & Large group communications. In the virtual world, these experiences get slightly tailored, yet it keeps the coachee at the centre of the entire journey. These curated 6 to 12 sessions of 1.5 hours each is what she prescribes for deep-rooted behavioural change as through every session, there is a clear outcome followed by “homework” in the practical sense for the coachee to discover. An honours graduate in Psychology from St Xavier’s, Mumbai and University rank holder, Masters in Counselling Psychology Mumbai, Feroza has immersed her life’s work in behavioural sciences, neuroscience and performance coaching. In today's episode I invited Ankeet Dave and Girish Nair. The episode is a very special one for me as both Access life, and the childhood cancer are special topics to me. What started as an idea over conversations has become a formidable force which has helped 500+ kids from all backgrounds. Workmates and friends Girish Nair and Ankeet Dave were 30 something professionals, well settled into a daily routine, peppered with the usual highs and lows. Their job at a leading public relations firm involved managing events and alliances for clients. One client’s desire to invite children from an NGO to an event became a defining moment in both Girish’ and Ankeet’s lives. They were bitten by the ‘do good’ bug! These two men joined forces with each other, multiplying their time and effort towards a good cause. Girish and Ankeet began by volunteering to distribute fruit and vegetables at cancer wards in hospitals. Now, a visit to an adult cancer ward, where suffering is rife and lives hang in the balance, can disturb even the eternal optimist, but not this dynamic duo! That was until one day, they made a chance visit to the pediatric cancer ward. Nothing had prepared them for this. Children of all age groups were lying down on newspapers and rags in the corridors of the hospital. And they were being administered chemotherapy through chemo bags dangling from window sills. Girish and Ankeet were shaken to their core. “We tend to believe for some reason that cancer is primarily an adult ailment”, they opined. Explaining further they said, “Whether vices, genetics, or any other cause, it’s just easier to associate the big ‘C’ with those who have lived enough. But not children. It just isn’t something we visualize children being stricken with. Children usually get chicken pox or measles or the common cold. But not cancer! We just couldn’t come to terms with what we saw.” The idea of Access Life home was thus born with the mission to provide shelter, nutrition, transportation, and counseling support to children with cancer. The morning of 14th June 2014 witnessed the first four families walking into the new Access Life home.  A promising suggestion from a friend to rent an independent house in Chembur did not materialize, and despite the landlord halving the rent, it was still unaffordable. The large security deposit was an additional deterrent. Things weren’t looking up. This, however, was not the end of the road for Girish. He was unshakeable in his resolve to alleviate these children’s pain. Girish and his wife Hemalini had invested in their first apartment in Pune after they married. Desperately out of options, Girish proposed selling the apartment to fund the new centers, and Hemalini agreed without any hesitation. Eventually, he realized that it was crucial to find a more sustainable way to build Access Life, to ensure stability and lasting impact. However, the unquestioning and altruistic family support he received that kept Girish optimistically on the path, and this was instrumental in realizing the Access Life dream. A journey that began with just two determined young men has now attracted recognition from hospitals, and the support of many who want to help in one way or another to proliferate Access Life’s positive impact on children and their families. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
