Years ago I read a book titled “Feel the Fear and Do it Anyway”. In this book author Susan Jeffers explored what we fear, why we feel it, and what to do differently. As human beings, we have the potential to be anything we want - but that thing called “fear” often gets in the way and stops us. In this episode I am proud to introduce Sasha Rhee, who as of this recording is just a few months shy of her 16th birthday. As I have gotten to know Sasha I have found her to be quite a remarkable person and wanted to chat with her about the decision she made at 11 years old to join a CrossFit gym - yes you heard me correctly - 11 - and her journey over the last 4 years. This is a story about determination, self-discipline, and how fear can positively drive you in life to accomplish your goals.

In our fourth conversation around entrepreneurship, I had the pleasure of chatting with Joe Racamato, President and CoFounder of Silex Financial Group, LLC., a residential and commercial mortgage broker based in Northern NJ. Joe has the characteristics of a prizefighter.  He never gives up, willing to do whatever it takes to make the business run and be successful. He runs his company with lean overhead and a singular focus on meeting his clients’ needs. In fact, he started his business in the midst of the worst recession this country has seen since the Great Depression of the late 1920s-early 1930s.What I continue to uncover in these conversations is like the other entrepreneur’s I have spoken to, Joe’s dedication to his customers, willingness to take risks and determination to overcome any and all obstacles is what sets him apart.  I hope you enjoy this interaction as much as I did and that you continue to see why I enjoy meeting business owners like Joe - their character and determination are unmatched!www.silexfinancial.com

My desire to do this series came out of my admiration for the men and women like you and me who have made a go of it in the business world and succeeded.  They all share common traits - grit, ability to grind, grace in the face of adversity and “a customer-first” mentality.  What I hope you gain from these stories is an insight into what CAN BE.  My first guest is Lori Iannone - the owner of AltsEats Cafe - a one-of-a-kind cafe located in offering delicious Vegan, Gluten-free & organic fare and We Knead the Dough - a custom cake, cookie, and confection bakery both located Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ.I hope you enjoy these conversations as much as I have.  These people are the real rock stars!instagram.com/alteatscafeinstagram.com/wekneadthedough
