Today, I want to talk about an example of answering the question, “What if it were easy?”“What if this were easy?” is something I, or our coaches, ask our Accelerator program members all the time. I want our members to have a question about how to do something.I say, “What if it were easy? What would it look like if it were easy?”We try to over-complicate things all the time. For years I tried to over-complicate things. And let’s just be honest, I still do that sometimes today, too. When you can ask yourself, “What would this look like if it were easy?” it opens up a whole new lens that you can think about how to do something. In this episode, you’ll learn:How to repurpose your most popular content for more revenueGetting quick and easy wins with minimal effortUsing your repurposed content funnel to grow your membership Are you a course creator or online coach who’s already averaging at least $7-8K in revenue per month from your online business and you’re ready to increase your profit, have a bigger impact, with LESS hustle? If you’re feeling overwhelmed, doing all the things, and you’re not sure what next steps you should be taking in your business…Then my Accelerator coaching program may be for you. Click on the links below to learn more and apply for my Accelerator coaching program:Links & ResourcesLearn more about my Accelerator coaching programJoin and apply to my Accelerator coaching program – ApplicationVisit my website where you’ll find more info about my coaching programs as well as hundreds of free podcast episodesFull show notes are available here

Thinking about becoming a copywriter? Or maybe hiring one? In this episode, I’m interviewing my copywriter, Brittany McBean, to talk about writing copy that converts. This is one of my most downloaded episodes from last year, and I got a lot of feedback on it when it first aired because listeners learned so much from it. Brittany is a conversion copywriter who helps online entrepreneurs stand out with crystal clear messaging and a laser-focused strategy. She loves writing personality-packed websites, emails, and launches that make the big bucks—and teaching people how to be unapologetically confident, relentlessly snarky, and remarkably persuasive. We are really getting into what it takes to be a good copywriter and run a business that lights you up. We’re talking about how she went from being a direct seller to a copywriter, how she built her copywriting business, and how she went from making $7,000 in the whole of 2019 to generating $30,000 in August of 2020 alone. We're also going to cover things like: how to stand out in a crowded market, how to balance sharing personal things from your life with marketing your business, three ways to instantly improve your copywriting, how to write personality-based copy that converts, the difference between your messaging and your copy, and the questions that you should be asking when you're looking to hire a copywriter. On Today’s Show, You’ll Learn: How to talk about your personal life while still setting boundaries That you can offer value to people going through similar things to you The importance of letting go of clients that don’t align with your valuesThe value of putting yourself out there to get clarity on what really lights you upHow to surround yourself with your ideal clients Why your copy and your message are not the same things How to write copy that converts What to ask when you’re hiring a copywriterA lot of work goes into writing copy that converts, as opposed to copy that just sounds nice. Brittany is a total pro at this, so tune in if you are interested in becoming a copywriter or if you need a copywriter! If you already listened to this episode, listen again! I bet you will gain even more value from it the second time around. If you didn’t, you’re in for an awesome episode, so tune in!Are you a course creator or an online coach? Many of you have known me as the “Facebook Ads guy” for so many years, so you might be surprised why I’d say something like that. Well, I’ve seen a lot of people asking how they can maximize Facebook ads to kickstart their lead generation and get those leads into their funnel...Yet, they miss checking first where their target audience consumes content. We often hear so much about Facebook ads…And that’s sort of where our brain goes immediately. But there could be other platforms that are better suited for your online business from a channel and strategy perspective. Today, I want to walk you through my thought process on how I would approach this through 5 examples of different niches.  You can apply this same approach to your own business. This episode will put your brain into an exercise that will get you to start thinking about your niche, which many of my Accelerator students have been digging into to get more traffic in a much more intentional way… And I really want to encourage you to start doing the same. So hope you enjoy and learn something great after listening to this podcast… Discussion Points In Today’s Episode:0:00 Introduction2:17 Why you should know your target audience’s platform3:30 My approach on how to explore and test the best platform for your niche 4:13 Example 1: Kickstarting lead generation in a jazz niche7:43 Example 2: Advertising for a business teaching nurse anesthetists9:48 Example 3: Promoting drumming classes13:06 Example 4: Where to market teaching Jiu-Jitsu14:22 Example 5: How to reach those in the teaching space16:24 What if you’re not ready or don’t have the budget for other platforms?   Are you a course creator or online coach who’s already averaging at least $7-8K in revenue per month from your online business and you’re ready to increase your profit, have a bigger impact, with LESS hustle? If you’re feeling overwhelmed, doing all the things, and you’re not sure what next steps you should be taking in your business…Then my Accelerator coaching program may be for you. Click here to learn more and apply for my Accelerator coaching program.Resources:How She Did It: 563K Followers on TikTok with Meg Harrell → https://rickmulready.com/how-she-did-it-563k-followers-on-tiktok-with-meg-harrell/Visit my website where you’ll find more info about my coaching programs as well as hundreds of free podcast episodes →  https://rickmulready.com/Join and apply to my Accelerator coaching program - https://rickmulready.com/accelerator See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Today, we’re going to be diving into a really, really fun topic.  If you listened to last Friday’s Quick Tip Episode, I shared with you something that is a bit controversial about how launching in your business is doing you and your potential customers more harm than good.If you’ve not heard that episode, definitely go check it out.  So today, I want to do an Evergreen Funnel Q&A.  These questions are from my Accelerator coaching members and people who have been reaching out to me regarding evergreen funnels.  So in this episode, you’ll learn the answers to the following: Who is evergreen right for? I’ve seen many of my students think that evergreen is the ultimate passive income business. Should your offer be on evergreen or live launches? What do you focus on if you're not seeing sales on your evergreen funnels? What offer price will work best?Do you send follow-up emails to those who didn’t watch your webinar? Is discounting the price of your course or membership a good idea? I’m also going to share tons of different ways to sell your online course or membership on evergreen, how to increase sales on your evergreen funnel, and tips around creating urgency in your offers other than discounting. Although it’s a continuous and tedious work, there’s a lot of big surprises, successes, and sweet spots you can expect from an evergreen funnel. And by the way, this is our first Q&A episode that I’ve done in a long time here on the show, and I’m going to do a lot more in upcoming episodes.  Appreciate you for always tuning in, and hope you enjoy and learn key takeaways from this podcast… Discussion Points In Today’s Episode:0:00 Introduction2:25 Who’s and who’s not fit for evergreen funnels? 4:57 Ways to sell your online courses on evergreen 17:11 Should your offer be on evergreen or live launches? 22:13 Increasing sales in your evergreen funnel 32:17 Offer prices that work best for evergreen 35:43 Should you send follow-up emails when people don’t show up? 40:47 How to warm people up prior to making offers 45:31 Create honest urgency with something other than discounting Are you a course creator or online coach who’s already averaging at least $7-8K in revenue per month from your online business and you’re ready to increase your profit, have a bigger impact, with LESS hustle? If you’re feeling overwhelmed, doing all the things, and you’re not sure what next steps you should be taking in your business… Then my Accelerator coaching program may be for you.  Click here to learn more and apply for my Accelerator coaching program.Resources:Why Launching Is Doing You (And Your Potential Customers) More Harm Than Good → https://rickmulready.com/why-launching-is-doing-you-and-your-potential-customers-more-harm-than-good/How to Work With (and Find) an Ads Manager → https://rickmulready.com/how-to-work-with-and-find-an-ads-manager/ Visit my website where you’ll find more info about my coaching programs as well as hundreds of free podcast episodes →  https://rickmulready.com/I’ve basically tried them all over the years, but this is my favorite landing page, order form and funnel builder. You might be surprised to hear me say this as I created my business purely on launching. That’s all I did for the first six years of my business...It was successful. Yet, the more I launched, the more I began to dislike the process. And it’s not just for me, I notice this every single week, whether it’s from my Accelerator members or people just reaching out in general. You see, I wanted to help my younger sister sell her resources and lesson plans on Teachers Pay Teachers, which is a site devoted to do just this.  The teacher entrepreneurs in my Accelerator program recommended a specific course. But it turns out that the course wasn’t open yet...That was a huge eye-opener for me and made me realize what past potential customers must have felt.In this episode, I want to dive into these kinds of examples and why I think launching is doing more harm than good to you and your potential customers from a mental health and business standpoint. But I want to clarify that the kind of launches I’m talking about are those that happen once or twice per year. So if you’re counting on those launches as a major piece of the overall revenue of your business, then this episode is for you! What I’m sharing with you today is my truth from my years of launching (I used to do those types of launches) and my recommendations to make it better. Hope you enjoy and learn something new from this episode… Discussion Points In Today’s Episode:0:00 Introduction1:51 What I experienced in looking for online courses 10:30 How launches affect you and your customers’ mental health 18:31 How launches affect your online business 21:10 Have an evergreen process for your launching Are you a course creator or online coach who’s already averaging at least $7-8K in revenue per month from your online business and you’re ready to increase your profit, have a bigger impact, with LESS hustle? If you’re feeling overwhelmed, doing all the things, and you’re not sure what next steps you should be taking in your business…Then my Accelerator coaching program may be for you. Click here to learn more and apply for my Accelerator coaching program.Resources:Visit my website where you’ll find more info about my coaching programs as well as hundreds of free podcast episodes →  https://rickmulready.com/Join and apply to my Accelerator coaching program - https://rickmulready.com/accelerator See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Today, I’ll be introducing a new segment for my podcast, which I will call ‘What Would Rick Do?’Since this is the first one, I want to do a Q&A around memberships and share some situations that have come up with my Accelerator coaching program members and my recommendations for each case. The first scenario we’ll be talking about is what an offer should look like to get more people into your membership.  Well, there’s a couple of ideas that you can do to reach this goal. It could be a one-off discount of a course with an upsell for them to join the membership…Price anchoring the course and membership… Or, running a Facebook ad to a small offer and then directing them to the membership. One of my Accelerator members did this last year, and it worked really well. But Facebook ads are very different right now as they were before. If you’ve already created tons of lead magnets, I’m going to show you how you can leverage and repurpose those to drive new people to your membership offer. What I’m going to share are the exact strategies that I would do. This may be a long game, but once you find something that works, that is where you double down. Plus, I’ve got five more interesting scenarios to discuss in this podcast that we are talking about inside of my Accelerator coaching program. So hope you enjoy and learn a lot of valuable insights from today’s episode...Discussion Points In Today’s Episode:0:00 Introduction3:19 How membership offers should look like 5:27 Be patient and test your lead magnets 9:41 Track your campaigns 11:19 Increasing the lifetime value of your current customers 20:49 Hiring people locally vs. overseas29:58 Strategies to get more podcast downloads 36:29 Hiring specific roles in your business Are you a course creator or online coach who’s already averaging at least $7-8K in revenue per month from your online business and you’re ready to increase your profit, have a bigger impact, with LESS hustle? If you’re feeling overwhelmed, doing all the things, and you’re not sure what next steps you should be taking in your business…Then my Accelerator coaching program may be for you.  Click here to learn more and apply for my Accelerator coaching program.Resources:I love to hear your feedback on this style of show! Thinking about adding a membership to your already growing business?Already have a membership? An online course?Have you considered that one might not be the best idea for your business?Well, on today’s episode, I’m diving into answering whether an online course or a membership is right for your business. You see, I built my business with online courses, but I’ve also had memberships too.And I like both for different reasons.I’ve covered a lot about online courses here on the show, but not a ton about memberships.Memberships can be a high leverage, simple yet effective business model, and they're also a great opportunity to differentiate yourself from others in your space in the way that you deliver your membership. This is why I'm kicking off a “Membership Series” here on the podcast where we'll be deep diving into all aspects of memberships starting with today's topic — is an online course or membership right for your business -- all the way through to retention strategies and beyond. This series is going to be for those of you with an existing membership or if you're considering adding one to your business.Hope you enjoy today’s episode...  Discussion Points In Today’s Episode:0:00 Introduction3:22 Memberships don’t have to be the usual monthly subscription5:23 Create a membership or an online course?9:28 The best time to add memberships to a business10:59 Best way to price your membership13:01 Your membership should have a promise14:33 Why people cancel their memberships18:08 People just get thrown into a membershipAre you a course creator or online coach who’s already averaging at least $7-8K in revenue per month from your online business and you’re ready to increase your profit, have a bigger impact, with LESS hustle? If you’re feeling overwhelmed, doing all the things, and you’re not sure what next steps you should be taking in your business…Then my Accelerator coaching program may be for you.  Click here to learn more and apply for my Accelerator coaching program.Resources:Visit my website where you’ll find more info about my coaching programs as well as hundreds of free podcast episodes →  https://rickmulready.com/I’ve basically tried them all over the years, but this is my favorite landing page, order form and funnel builder. For the past few years now, we hear people saying that email is dead.Well, I have news for you. It’s not.Email is still one of the best ways to build relationships with your audience. Yes, open rates have gone down. But there are different ways to increase your open rates. And one of the best ways shouldn’t come as a shock to you. It’s using a lead magnet to build your email list. For this episode, I’ll share with you two things. Managing people has never been something that I've super enjoyed. I also don't think I'm all that good at it either.I mean, since starting my business almost 8 years ago, managing my team is a skill that I feel like I've gotten a lot better at, but I still feel like I'm not very good at it.My first experience with leading a team was way back in the wild west days of the Internet when I was at AOL, managing a team of like 12 people. But that was corporate. Sure I learned some valuable skills, but I also feel like it's different when it's your own business. As a business owner, over the years I've wasted so much money, time, and energy on hiring the wrong people who needed a lot of managing and overseeing. And as the business has grown and evolved, I've learned 3 big things when it comes to managing your team:You don't even need to be the manager of your team (you can hire someone to do that)If you don't have someone to be the manager and it falls on you, the good news is you don't have to be a good manager yourselfSystems and processes — the clearer and simpler they are make it super easy for people on your team to succeedIn today’s episode, I break down and dive deeply into lesson #2 above -- the fact that you don't have to be a good manager yourself.Like I started out saying, I don't consider myself a very good manager, nor is it something I super enjoy. So in today’s show I share everything I’ve learned and done to create and manage an amazing small team of A-players and how you can step-by-step do the same as the Optimized CEO of your business...Discussion Points In Today’s Episode:0:00 Introduction4:26 Three things I learned about being a manager and running a business7:00 Why you don’t have to be a good manager8:46 What is an intrapreneur and why you need them on your team12:37 Hiring people who can give their full attention15:36 CEO doesn’t have to be the one creating all the ideas17:21 How making these shifts can make you a more Optimized CEOAre you a course creator or online coach who’s already averaging at least $7-8K in revenue per month from your online business and you’re ready to increase your profit, have a bigger impact, with LESS hustle? If you’re feeling overwhelmed, doing all the things, and you’re not sure what next steps you should be taking in your business…Then my Accelerator coaching program may be for you. Click here to learn more and apply for my Accelerator coaching program. Resources:Visit my website where you’ll find more info about my coaching programs as well as hundreds of free podcast episodes →  https://rickmulready.com/Join and apply to my Accelerator coaching program - https://rickmulready.com/accelerator See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Most people view revenue as the measure of success of a business. But I want to offer you a different perspective.Sure, you might hear about those businesses saying that they’re making seven figures, but that’s often just topline revenue.  What you don’t hear about is how much of that revenue is actually profit  or that they’ve worked themselves to the bone to achieve it.The danger in this for so many course creators and online coaches is that we hear about all this money and we start thinking that that’s what success looks like.We start chasing someone else’s version of “success”.I once made that  same mistake too, chasing another person’s version of success, and it made me both mentally and physically exhausted. This is the reason  I changed how I define success in my business, which comes down to 3 key things: 1. Profit.Businesses need to make profit (duh) otherwise, it’s just a hobby. Topline revenue is great but how much of that is actually going into your pocket? There’s a certain % that I recommend as a starting point for online course creators and coaches. 2. Impact.Impact can mean a lot of things to different people. It could be helping a million people or offering jobs to  “x” number of people. Take the time to realize what your impact would be, but don’t forget to find a means to measure it.3. Hustle Goal. Some people start businesses because they want to work less. If you’re the type that loves working long hours, awesome. If you're not, then it can be something you can work towards. The key is understanding that hustle is NOT a requirement of a successful business. In fact, it’s toxic and I go into why that’s the case in this episode. This  episode will  offer a different perspective on measuring the success of your business while also helping   you identify what your version of success looks like.Discussion Points In Today’s Episode:0:00 Introduction 4:05 First key measure of success: Profit5:54 The two types of profit margin9:25 Second key measure: Impact12:28 Third key measure: Less hustle goal15:15 What’s the cost of hustling all the time?18:38 Leverage your time to have the greatest impact by doing less19:36 Focus only on CEO activitiesAre you a course creator or online coach who’s already averaging at least $7-8K in revenue per month from your online business and you’re ready to increase your profit, have a bigger impact, with LESS hustle? If you’re feeling overwhelmed, doing all the things, and you’re not sure what next steps you should be taking in your business…Then my Accelerator coaching program may be for you. Click here to learn more and apply for my Accelerator coaching program.Resources:Visit my website where you’ll find more info about my coaching programs as well as hundreds of free podcast episodes →  https://rickmulready.com/Join and apply to my Accelerator coaching program - https://rickmulready.com/accelerator See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Whether you’re considering adding a membership program to your business or already have one and want to grow it, this episode is for you. On the show today, I want to share with you a case study of how Hallie Sherman, one of my Accelerator students, added a  membership to her business and knocked it out of the park in her first launch.Hallie welcomed  almost 500 members in the first 45 days and she did primarily by  listening and taking note of what her existing audiences were asking for. When you listen to the episode, there are a few key takeaways I want you to listen for that led to such a successful release of the program... Research what your customers want and find the gap that’s in your industry.Take advantage of resources you already have.Keep listening to feedback and create content based on it.Hallie’s success didn’t involve any elaborate plan or fancy tools. It was simply asking and constantly creating content based on the needs of the clients (many things we discuss inside of Accelerator)Check out the timestamps below if you want to jump to a specific area of the conversation as we deep dive into the super successful launch of her brand new membership...Discussion Points In Today’s Episode:0:00 Introduction 1:31 About Hallie Sherman6:14 What drives her to be an online business owner and speech language pathologist8:45 How spending less time on your business helps it grow11:03 Giving a different kind of value to customers14:52 Ask your team what they need to create your new resource17:53 The importance of listening to your audience20:54 Benefits of building your trust24:48 The system in place27:01 What did the launch look like?30:35 If people buy when you go live, keep doing that34:26 What made the membership special?35:57 Custom platforms aren’t always necessaryAre you a course creator or online coach who’s already averaging at least $7-8K in revenue per month from your online business and you’re ready to increase your profit, have a bigger impact, with LESS hustle? If you’re feeling overwhelmed, doing all the things, and you’re not sure what next steps you should be taking in your business…Then my Accelerator coaching program may be for you. Click here to learn more and apply for my Accelerator coaching program.Resources:Visit my website where you’ll find more info about my coaching programs as well as hundreds of free podcast episodes →  https://rickmulready.com/Join and apply to my Accelerator coaching program - https://rickmulready.com/accelerator See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

As part of my Accelerator coaching program, we offer weekly audits where members can submit whatever they'd like for me to review. I then record a personalized Loom video with my critique, ideas and feedback. This year especially, I’ve been getting a lot of requests to review landing pages -- opt-in pages, sales pages and the like. And the more and more I’ve reviewed, the more and more I’ve noticed a simple tweak that can have a big effect on increasing conversions -- the color of the call-to-action (CTA) buttons. You see, 99% of the pages I’ve been looking at from our members had CTA buttons that blended into the rest of the content and the other colors on the page. I know in the grand scheme of things, the color of the call-to-action buttons on your landing page should be far down the list of what to test…But what’s certain is that button colors that blend in aren't going to make it easier for anyone to take the action you want them to take.So after seeing so many opportunities for improvement, I started asking myself…What IS the best color for your CTA buttons?I decided to do some research to see if there was any science behind the psychology of color and the feelings people have when they see certain ones. And my findings were super interesting…I had no idea different colors “spoke” to people in different ways.Even with my years of experience, I still learn new aspects to improve on everyday. Like, something as simple as colors hardly crossed my mind a few years back. And to be honest, I’ve never thought much of what color I “should” use for the buttons on my landing pages other than they need to stand out and “pop” from the rest of the colors and content on the page. But after my research, and seeing so many landing pages over the years, I now have some new best practices… And I’m sharing them all with you today, on the podcast.Discussion Points In Today’s Episode:0:00 Introduction 4:05 The science behind colors and what they are associated with8:19 Different cultures have different meanings to color9:35 Choose a color that pops out11:24 Test out the conversion of different colors12:11 Good and bad examples of the TEXT on call-to-action buttons14:36 Putting yourself into your customer’s mindAre you a course creator or online coach who’s already averaging at least $7-8K in revenue per month from your online business and you’re ready to increase your profit, have a bigger impact, with LESS hustle? If you’re feeling overwhelmed, doing all the things, and you’re not sure what next steps you should be taking in your business…Then my Accelerator coaching program may be for you. Click here to learn more and apply for my Accelerator coaching program.Resources:Visit my website where you’ll find more info about my coaching programs as well as hundreds of free podcast episodes →  https://rickmulready.com/Join and apply to my Accelerator coaching program - https://rickmulready.com/accelerator Thanks for tuning in!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

There’s a shift happening in the online space. And I love it.People are fed up with the overly pushy, false promises, hype-y sales tactics that have (unfortunately) become the norm over the past several years in the online space. And now people are showing how over it they are by choosing to invest in course creators and mentors who, in addition to being an expert, are real and authentic.Experts who aren’t going to get all “used car sales-y” (nothing against used car sales people) when they are selling their programs.Nobody likes being sold to, right? And that’s especially true if you have a course or coaching program that’s a bigger investment, say, $2K or more.People are often going to need a bit more information and to learn more before making a purchase decision. If you’re selling a “high ticket” program, I definitely recommend getting on a call with people to discuss whether they’re a right fit for your program and vice-versa.For example, in order to even be considered for my Accelerator coaching program, you need to apply and then jump on Zoom with either my team or me.If you’re not getting on calls with people, by the way, it’s a great way to make it easier to welcome more people into your program. It’s such a simple thing to do, get on Zoom with someone, yet so few people do it.Calls are so effective for a couple reasons:You get to determine whether the person who is interested in your course or program is a right fitAnd they get to determine whether you are right for them, to help them make a decision one way or the other.Whether you are already doing “sales calls” for your higher investment offer or are now considering starting to do them…Here are a couple things to do to help you be more successful in your calls:Listen more than you talk.We all love to hear ourselves talk, but this isn’t about you it’s about the person considering your program. When you take more time to listen to their challenges and struggles and what they’re wanting to accomplish, you can (gasp) tailor the call to their specific concerns and how you can uniquely help them. Make your offer with confidence. If you’re not confident in your own program or deliver the offer to join your program with confidence, people are going to see right through it and they’re aren’t going to invest in what you have.If you get results for people, own the fact that you’re the s*%t (because you are) and deliver your call with confidence.Selling your higher investment course or program doesn’t have to be so scary or hard. It’s a skill that’s learned, and can be learned quickly. And it can be one of the most important skills you have as a business owner. That’s why on today’s episode of The Art of Online Business podcast, I’m interviewing expert sales coach Leah Neaderthal…... where we’re talking all about How to Make High Tickets Sales Without Feeling PushyAmong other topics, you’ll learn things like:How to shorten the sales processHow to avoid the mistake most people make when they get on a call with a prospective studentWays that we unknowingly prevent clients from saying “yes”And more…If you’re selling any kind of offer that’s north of $2K, this episode is a must listen.Discussion Points:0:00 Introduction 6:49 Leah Neaderthal and her experience going back into corporate10:03 What holds people back is are the stuff that they bring into sales12:25 Big takeaways from the 65 books she read14:14 The importance of social dynamics 17:44 What to say to people from cold traffic21:52 Tips to incorporating psychology and social dynamics in your sales process24:54 Clients care about how they will be different in the future26:49 Questions to ask clients to help determine whether you are the right fit30:16 What to do about clients that just focus on the price33:57 Habits that coaches (unknowingly) do to that hurts them35:13 Handlings client that work with partners37:43 90% of selling happens when y

The word “impact” gets thrown around a lot these days. It’s overused. It’s overused because as much as it’s often used to define what we do in our online businesses, so few people actually stop and take the time to define what it actually means to them.Myself included. For the last few years I too have been throwing “impact” around as a way to describe one of the goals of my business. But I’ve never shared what it actually means to me and my business.I don’t think I’ve really truly been clear myself if I’m being honest.Until now…Over the last few months I’ve become super clear on what “impact” means to me and how I measure it in my business. My team and I have also woven Bigger Impact into my Accelerator coaching program as a key measure of success — we help our students define what impact means to them and then we help them achieve it.If “impact” is something you’re wanting to achieve in you’re business, have you defined it?Do you know how to measure it?Whether this is something you’re already clear about or something you’re working towards……this episode of The Art of Online Business podcast is something I’m hoping you find value in.I share what “impact” means to me, how it’s woven into my business, why focusing on impact doesn’t have to come at the expense of making (a lot of) money, and more…Here’s to More Profit, Bigger Impact, Less Hustle!Want to jump to a specific topic within the episode?…Discussion Points:0:00 Introduction 2:44 What does impact mean to me? 5:49 Ways on how to have an individual impact on somebody 8:32 Creating impact in my business9:32 Showing people what’s possible 11:50 Think about your impact goal at scale 13:42 Determine what kind of value you can create to meet that goal 15:15 Impact vs. income: which one to choose first? Are you a course creator or online coach who’s already averaging at least $7-8K in revenue per month from your online business and you’re ready to increase your profit, have a bigger impact, with LESS hustle? If you’re feeling overwhelmed, doing all the things, and you’re not sure what next steps you should be taking in your business…Then my Accelerator coaching program may be for you. Click here to learn more and apply for my Accelerator coaching program.Resources:Visit my website where you’ll find more info about my coaching programs as well as hundreds of free podcast episodes →  https://rickmulready.com/Join and apply to my Accelerator coaching program - https://rickmulready.com/accelerator For more episodes, listen and subscribe to The Art of Online Business on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and Google Podcasts.  Thank you for tuning in!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

In today’s episode of the show, I wanted to talk to you about how to navigate working with and also hiring a Facebook/IG ads manager. While I 100% think you should know the basics of Facebook ads so that you can have an educated conversation about them, I also want you to consider delegating them to someone once you’ve gotten the basics down. It’s but one piece of being the Optimized CEO of your business — hiring and delegating so you can be focusing on the most important aspects of your business. Whether you’re currently working with an ads manager or haven’t yet taken that step, this episode is your roadmap to making this relationship as beneficial as possible for the both of you.I break this episode down into what your responsibilities are when working with an ads manager and then what their responsibilities are when working with you.I think some of what I share is going to be an eye-opener for you.Having worked as an Ads Manager in the first couple years of my business, and also being a successful online business owner who teaches Facebook and Instagram ads, I have a unique perspective on this dynamic. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at rick@rickmulready.com.Discussion Points:0:00 Introduction 3:18 Managing your own ads is not a good use of your time6:51 What are YOUR responsibilities?8:14 Make sure that your manager has access to your accounts8:51 You should have a funnel that converts10:00 Allow your ads manager to take ownership of results12:26 Ads managers should be driving quality traffic for a lead cost, that works to hit the ROI goal16:37 You should be giving them assets that align with your brand18:06 It takes at least 90 days to see whether they are profitable20:02 Be proactive in communication21:11 Ads managers are responsible for results22:54 They should be setting reasonable expectations with you23:47 They should communicate what assets they need and when24:26 Managers should adhere to your requests26:30 What to look for when hiring an ads manager33:55 Where to find an ads manager35:33 Should you bring your ads management in-house?37:36 Cons of in-house management39:11 Summary of this episodeAre you a course creator or online coach who’s already averaging at least $7-8K in revenue per month from your online business and you’re ready to increase your profit, have a bigger impact, with LESS hustle? Thank you for tuning in! See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

As course creators and online coaches, when we want to increase our profit or have a bigger impact, we often think that we have to add more or do more.  When in fact, the opposite is true. Yes, in order to grow in your business you need to become a different version of yourself that got your business to where it is today, be-ing and do-ing are completely different things. While it’s good to explore new ideas, sometimes you have to first look at what’s already in your business.Speaking from my own experience and that of countless of my Accelerator coaching students, adding more or doing more is  not always what’s best for your business. Rather, look inside your existing business and look for areas that are already working and improve those. Get your flagship offer super dialed in before adding more programs or offers. In the case of getting your business to at least $500K in revenue, less is definitely more. In today’s episode,  I break down  a real-life example of one of my Accelerator coaching members and how simplifying, and not looking for “more”, has not only added top line revenue to her business but also reduced the number of hours she’s working each week. I’ll also share the steps that we took in order for us to refine their existing resources. With this episode, you can learn to identify what parts of your business that you should be focusing on and what you need to do in order to improve them.Discussion Points:0:00 Introduction 3:04 Improve on your core offer6:42 Identify and update the top selling offers in your business7:54 Estimate how much time it takes to review each resource9:40 Block out time in your calendar13:02 Find out what you specifically need to update a resource15:43 Who will be doing the updates?18:30 If someone in your team can’t do it, create a job description21:28 What does ‘done’ look like in your business? Are you a course creator or online coach who is already averaging at least $7-8K in revenue per month from your online business and you’re ready to scale without all the hustle? If that’s you, I want to invite you to learn more and apply for my Accelerator coaching program. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, doing all the things, want more revenue, impact, and profit with LESS hustle, Accelerator is for you. Resources:Visit my website where you’ll find more info about my coaching programs as well as hundreds of free podcast episodes →  https://rickmulready.com/Join and apply to my Accelerator coaching program - https://rickmulready.com/accelerator For more episodes, listen and subscribe to The Art of Online Business on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and Google Podcasts.  Thank you for tuning in! See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

If you’ve ever done a webinar before, you know that one of the most frustrating things is when you do a whole bunch of work (or invest a lot of money) to get people registered only to have a small fraction of them actually show up.This has happened to me a ton of times over the years, and it’s not uncommon (especially these days) to hear from students that they’re experiencing low show up rates too. And I’ve also learned and tested things you can do that can result in increased show up rates, which then often result in higher sales. After all, generally, people who show up live and ask questions tend to be more likely to purchase. So to help you increase your webinar show up rates, and hopefully increase your sales, I created this podcast episode for you where I take you through 21 different wants to increase your webinar show up rates (and a few bonus ones as well). You need to understand your financial metrics when it comes to your business.I say this ALL the time, so we are actually getting into the details of it in this episode.I am joined by Michael King to talk about the critical four financial metrics of your business: revenue, gross profit, net profit, and cash.Michael is a business money coach and the CEO of KFE Solutions. After spending the first 11 years of his career in the military, Michael ventured into the world of business. He quickly learned that he needed to level up his financial IQ to survive. The big problem he found was the fact that most financial “experts” couldn’t explain business money concepts in a way that could be quickly understood and easily applied to real-world problems that entrepreneurs encounter.Michael decided to bridge that gap. In 2016, he created KFE Solutions with the mission of helping business owners understand their numbers so they can make better decisions. Since then, Michael and his team have worked with hundreds of entrepreneurs to help them scale their businesses profitably. On Today’s Show You’ll Learn: The percentage of businesses that fail because of poor cash flow managementHow your decisions impact revenue, gross profit, net profit, and cashThe number one thing to look for in a bookkeeperWhy you need to look at least 6 weeks into the future for your cash flow forecastHow cash flow forecasting differs from profitThe amount of clarity that cash flow forecasting brings into our life and businessWhat you should consider when hiring from a cash flow perspectiveUnderstanding decisions from a profitability standpointMapping out payment plans for Facebook adsI wish I had this conversation with Michael earlier in my business because it would have saved me a lot of confusion! If you are in need of some financial guidance, listen up to learn all about the critical four financial metrics of your business: revenue, gross profit, net profit, and cash.Links & Resources Mentioned in this Episode:rickmulready.com/acceleratorKFEsolutions.cominstagram.com/i.am.michael.kingfacebook.com/i.am.michael.kinglinkedin.com/in/iammichaelking Full show notes available at www.rickmulready.com/518See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
