In today’s episode, Dr. Siohvaughn Funches begins a new series, “Your Dream is Coming to Pass.” Dr. Funches begins with the relevance of the rhema Word of God in this message today and the power of meditating on this truth and getting it inside us as well as being able to teach it to others. Dr. Funches shows in Isaiah that the Word of God comes down as the rain and the snow from heaven, and shall not return to God void. She uses the parable of the sower found in Mark chapter 4 to remind us that where the word of God grows it brings forth much fruit.

In today’s episode, Dr. Siohvaughn Funches finishes the series, “Putting it in the Hands of Jesus.” Dr. Funches introduces this message by stating that whether we have a mess of our own or we are involved in someone else’s mess, as we put it in the almighty hands of Jesus, He will turn your mess into whatever miracle you need, beyond even your prayers.Dr. Funches recaps the message from last week, that Jesus washes us clean. His word is a lamp to our feet. It directs our paths. One thing is needful — getting at the feet of Jesus and hearing His word. Jesus is God’s Word. When we know the Word, we know the Son of God, who is God. Jesus is the Light of the world. Jesus is the Bread of Life. He is everything that we can possibly need. Jesus is the Resurrection and the Life.In this week’s message, Dr. Funches teaches that no one can serve two masters. Mammon is of the devil. Jesus knows our needs before we do. God supplies all of our needs. We must grasp the truth that we cannot serve God and mammon. Dr. Funches takes us to a study of Luke 5 where Jesus blessed Simon, James, and John with a catch of fish that started to sink their boats and they followed Him. God provides and His provision changes as He wills it. Dr. Funches speaks about tithing. When you give God 10% of your income, it is a way of putting it in His Hands. God will open the windows of heaven and pour at that there will not be room enough to receive it. You will have to give some of it away! When you give God 10%, 100% becomes holy. You can’t lose, with God. Whatever is put in His hands grows and multiplies.   Listen in to hear how God favors the New Covenant believer who puts their needs into the hands of Jesus.   KEY BIBLE VERSES [18:46] Matthew 6:24, NKJV 24 “No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and Mammon.” [24:33] Luke 5:1–11, NKJV 1 So it was, as the multitude pressed about Him to hear the word of God, that He stood by the Lake of Gennesaret, 2 and saw two boats standing by the lake; but the fishermen had gone from them and were washing their nets. 3 Then He got into one of the boats, which was Simon’s, and asked him to put out a little from the land. And He sat down and taught the multitudes from the boat. 4 When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, “Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.” 5 But Simon answered and said to Him, “Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net.” 6 And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking. 7 So they signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both the boats, so that they began to sink. 8 When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying, “Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord!” 9 For he and all who were with him were astonished at the catch of fish which they had taken; 10 and so also were James and John, the sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon. And Jesus said to Simon, “Do not be afraid. From now on you will catch men.” 11 So when they had brought their boats to land, they forsook all and followed Him. [35:37] Malachi 3:10, NKJV 10 Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, And try Me now in this,” Says the Lord of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it.” [38:43] Romans 11:16, NKJV 16 For if the firstfruit is holy, the lump is also holy; and if the root is holy, so are the branches.   MENTIONED IN THIS EPISODE The True Story for God’s Glory: The Life of Siohvaughn L. In today’s episode, Dr. Siohvaughn Funches begins the series, “The Benefits and Blessings of Putting it in Jesus’s Hands.” Dr. Funches is excited about this series. It’s a powerful message but simple to understand. The Bible passages show that when people come to Jesus and put something in His hand, they are greatly blessed beyond what they asked for. Today, when we come to Jesus, we come to Him in praise, when we open up the word of God, when we go to Church, and when we go to Bible study. In this week’s message, Dr. Funches delves into the benefits of coming to Jesus with whatever you have need. God gives lavishly and prospers us. God wants us to rule over money and use it for His purposes and His glory. Dr. Funches goes to John 6 for a miracle of provision with barley loaves and fish and reminds that God provides so you are filled to overflowing and are satisfied. Our needs can never outmatch what God supplies.   Listen in to hear how God favors the New Covenant believer who puts their needs into the hands of Jesus.   KEY BIBLE VERSES [22:36] John 6:1–7, NKJV 1 After these things Jesus went over the Sea of Galilee, which is the Sea of Tiberias. 2 Then a great multitude followed Him, because they saw His signs which He performed on those who were diseased. 3 And Jesus went up on the mountain, and there He sat with His disciples. 4 Now the Passover, a feast of the Jews, was near. 5 Then Jesus lifted up His eyes, and seeing a great multitude coming toward Him, He said to Philip, “Where shall we buy bread, that these may eat?” 6 But this He said to test him, for He Himself knew what He would do. 7 Philip answered Him, “Two hundred denarii worth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may have a little.” [25:40] John 6:8–14, NKJV 8 8 One of His disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, said to Him, 9 “There is a lad here who has five barley loaves and two small fish, but what are they among so many?” 10 Then Jesus said, “Make the people sit down.” Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand. 11 And Jesus took the loaves, and when He had given thanks He distributed them to the disciples, and the disciples to those sitting down; and likewise of the fish, as much as they wanted. 12 So when they were filled, He said to His disciples, “Gather up the fragments that remain, so that nothing is lost.” 13 Therefore they gathered them up, and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the five barley loaves which were left over by those who had eaten. 14 Then those men, when they had seen the sign that Jesus did, said, “This is truly the Prophet who is to come into the world.” [34:02] Psalm 100:4, NKJV 4 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.   MENTIONED IN THIS EPISODE The True Story For God’s Glory: The Life of Siohvaughn L. Funches-Wade, by Siohvaughn L. In today’s episode, Dr. Siohvaughn Funches finishes this series of “No More Condemnation.” Dr. Funches first recaps the last two episodes and she invites you to go back and hear them if you have not heard them already, as a foundation for today’s message. Beginning with John 3:16–17, Dr. Funches shows that it was God’s unconditional love that sent Jesus to give us everlasting life. The greatest demonstration of God’s love is giving us Jesus. Dr. Funches reminds us that Adam and Eve hid from God but God came and found them. God sent the fish to swallow Jonah and hold him for three days.   For the believer — for the born again Christian, there is no more condemnation for you. Dr. Funches explains in the Word that the Law is obsolete; that condemnation comes by the Law, and we are no longer under the Law so we are no longer under condemnation. God will remember our lawless deeds no more.   As you go through the Bible, Dr. Funches invites you to find scriptures that talk about the righteous, and highlight those or mark them for reference. Please listen in.   KEY BIBLE VERSES [2:47] John 3:16–17, NKJV 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. [13:08] Romans 8:1, NKJV 1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. There is therefore now no condemnation. [13:49] Matthew 5:17, NKJV 17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.” [13:53] Hebrews 8:13, NKJV 13 In that He says, “A new covenant,” He has made the first obsolete. Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away. [18:14] Hebrews 10:9, NKJV 9 Then He said, “Behold, I have come to do Your will, O God.” He takes away the first that He may establish the second. [21:26] Hebrews 10:16–17, NKJV 16 “This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them,” 17 then He adds, “Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.” [25:59] Matthew 5:17, NKJV 17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.” [26:28] Romans 10:4, NKJV 4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes. [31:40] Colossians 2:14, NKJV 14 Having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross.   MENTIONED IN THIS EPISODE Please visit DrFunches.com for books, blogs and more helpful resources from Dr. Funches and for ways to get involved with this ministry, A Woman’s Worth Foundation.

Although we are facing what even experts call "uncertain times," we as children of God can have stability, knowing that God provides for His people. God's promise to provide doesn't depend on the presence or absence of trouble. God is, and always will be, faithful to provide, regardless of what is going on in the world or what well-meaning experts are saying. God's part to provide still is, and our part to do the one thing that is needful - get at the feet of Jesus and hear His word - also remains. The powerful results of doing so will still manifest and swallow up evil, and the believer will triumph and come out better than when the trouble arose!

In today’s episode, Dr. Siohvaughn Funches continues this series and dives deeper into the Word, continuing on the topic of “No More Condemnation.” Dr. Funches first recaps last week’s message that for the New Covenant believer, there is no more condemnation. Dr. Funches reviews John 3:16–17 and ties it to the account of Adam and Eve. Dr. Funches invites the listener to review the message from last week to learn more about the sacrifice Jesus made for the remission of sins.   Dr. Funches shows in the Word of God the Law concerning leprosy and the mercy Jesus showed in cleansing the leper. Dr. Funches compares the leper asking for a blessing in the midst of breaking the Law to our own condition. She also examines through the Word the law concerning adultery and the way Jesus treated the woman caught in adultery. Dr. Funches explains that adultery represents all sin. The Lord Jesus does not condemn the born again child of God.   Please listen as Dr. Funches dives deeper into the blessings of having no more condemnation after getting to know God through His Word.   KEY BIBLE VERSES [3:51] John 3:16–17, NKJV 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. [14:39] Leviticus 13:1–3, NKJV 1 And the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying: 2 “When a man has on the skin of his body a swelling, a scab, or a bright spot, and it becomes on the skin of his body like a leprous sore, then he shall be brought to Aaron the priest or to one of his sons the priests. 3 The priest shall examine the sore on the skin of the body; and if the hair on the sore has turned white, and the sore appears to be deeper than the skin of his body, it is a leprous sore. Then the priest shall examine him, and pronounce him unclean.” [16:01] Numbers 5:2, NKJV 2 “Command the children of Israel that they put out of the camp every leper, everyone who has a discharge, and whoever becomes defiled by a corpse. “ [17:19] Luke 5:12, NKJV 12 And it happened when He was in a certain city, that behold, a man who was full of leprosy saw Jesus; and he fell on his face and implored Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.” 13 Then He put out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” Immediately the leprosy left him. [22:57] Jeremiah 2, 3 (full chapters) [24:18] Exodus 20:14, NKJV 14 “You shall not commit adultery.” [24:49] Leviticus 20:10, NKJV 10 ‘The man who commits adultery with another man’s wife, he who commits adultery with his neighbor’s wife, the adulterer and the adulteress, shall surely be put to death.” [25:41] John 8:1–12, NKJV 1 But Jesus went to the Mount of Olives. 2 Now early in the morning He came again into the temple, and all the people came to Him; and He sat down and taught them. 3 Then the scribes and Pharisees brought to Him a woman caught in adultery. And when they had set her in the midst, 4 they said to Him, “Teacher, this woman was caught in adultery, in the very act. 5 Now Moses, in the law, commanded us that such should be stoned. But what do You say?” 6 This they said, testing Him, that they might have something of which to accuse Him. But Jesus stooped down and wrote on the ground with His finger, as though He did not hear. 7 So when they continued asking Him, He raised Himself up and said to them, “He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first.” 8 And again He stooped down and wrote on the ground. 9 Then those who heard it, being convicted by their conscience, went out one by one, beginning with the oldest even to the last. And Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. 10 When Jesus had raised Himself up and saw no one but the woman, He said to her, “Woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?” 11 She said, “No one, Lord.” And Jesus said to her, “Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.” 12 Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.” [31:26] Psalm 36:9, NKJV 9 For with You is the fountain of life; In Your light we see light.   MENTIONED IN THIS EPISODE Please visit DrFunches.com for books, blogs and more helpful resources from Dr. Funches and for ways to get involved with this ministry, A Woman’s Worth Foundation.

In today’s episode, Dr. Siohvaughn Funches continues this series and delves into the topic of No More Condemnation. Dr. Funches stresses the importance of seeing this truth in the Word of God and of letting God establish it and settle it in our hearts. We have been made righteous by the blood of Jesus. God does not condemn us and we should not condemn ourselves.   Dr. Funches shows in the Word of God that it was God’s idea to send Jesus. God loved us before Jesus went to the cross. God’s love came first. It is unconditional. God is love, no matter what we do or don’t do. God sent Jesus to redeem us from sin, once and for all. God says He will remember lawless deeds no more. As we learned in the previous weeks, as New Covenant believers, we are no longer living under the law and are no longer under the condemnation of the law. Dr. Funches reviews the account of the woman with an issue of blood to illustrate the mercy and grace that Jesus showed to her by healing her when she demonstrated her faith in Him.   Please listen as Dr. Funches examines the blessings of no more condemnation after getting to know God through His Word.   KEY BIBLE VERSES [3:08] John 3:16–17, NKJV 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. [6:23] Genesis 1–4, (full chapters; Adam and Eve) [9:12] 1 John 2:12, NKJV 12 I write to you, little children, Because your sins are forgiven you for His name’s sake. [10:03] Romans 8:1, NKJV 1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. [15:27] Hebrews 8:12, NKJV 12 “For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.” [16:30] Isaiah 43:25, NKJV 25  “I, even I, am He who blots out your transgressions for My own sake; And I will not remember your sins.” [27:04] Leviticus 15:19–21, NKJV 19 "If a woman has a discharge, and the discharge from her body is blood, she shall be set apart seven days; and whoever touches her shall be unclean until evening. 20 Everything that she lies on during her impurity shall be unclean; also everything that she sits on shall be unclean. 21 Whoever touches her bed shall wash his clothes and bathe in water, and be unclean until evening. [28:27] Mark 5:25:34, NKJV 25 Now a certain woman had a flow of blood for twelve years, 26 and had suffered many things from many physicians. She had spent all that she had and was no better, but rather grew worse. 27 When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment. 28 For she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.” 29 Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction. 30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in Himself that power had gone out of Him, turned around in the crowd and said, “Who touched My clothes?” 31 But His disciples said to Him, “You see the multitude thronging You, and You say, ‘Who touched Me?’” 32 And He looked around to see her who had done this thing. 33 But the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell down before Him and told Him the whole truth. 34 And He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction.”   MENTIONED IN THIS EPISODE Please visit DrFunches.com for books, blogs and more helpful resources from Dr. Funches and for ways to get involved with this ministry, A Woman’s Worth Foundation.

In today’s episode, Dr. Siohvaughn Funches continues this series and delves into trusting God. Dr. Funches ties this into the message of the last episode, on the benefits and blessings of knowing God. Before you can trust God, you have to know God. This episode takes it a bit further to look at the benefits and blessings of trusting God. Dr. Funches compares our lives as believers to the readers of a book that God has authored.   Dr. Funches talks about being broken and the difficulty of growing trust by sharing stories of her own life and how God blessed her. Dr. Funches looks at selected verses and examples of Esther, Noah, and Joseph in the scriptures, who received great blessings through their trust in God.   Please listen as Dr. Funches examines the benefits and blessings of trusting God after getting to know God through His Word.   KEY BIBLE VERSES [9:45] Psalms 9:10, NKJV 10 And those who know Your name will put their trust in You; For You, Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You. In today’s episode, Dr. Siohvaughn Funches begins a new series and delves into the benefits and blessings of knowing God. Dr. Funches picks up where she left off in the last episode, recapping a bit from last week and then diving deeper into these truths. To know God is to know His Word. The benefits and blessings of knowing God are the benefits and blessings of knowing Jesus because Jesus is the Word. Dr. Funches encourages you to listen to the messages from the previous weeks. Dr. Funches says God is using those messages to teach us how to inherit our inheritance.   When God blesses one, He blesses all through that gift. Others also need to see your sign and your miracle. It is God’s will to teach us all these things. Now is the time to receive those benefits and blessings by faith in the Living God who has done it all for you, already. We don’t want to delay our destiny.   God says to be anxious for nothing. Dr. Funches explains Psalm 1:1–3 to apply it to New Covenant believers, contrasting prosperity in God against the greed for money. Dr. Funches covers the connections between knowing God and Jesus, knowing the Word and the truth, and being free. We learn in 1 Samuel 1 that God answers our desires and in John 15:5,7 that those who abide in the Word, Jesus, bear much fruit and they will have the desires they ask of Him.   Please listen as Dr. Funches examines the benefits and blessings of knowing God through His Word.   KEY BIBLE VERSES [2:29] John 1:1, NKJV 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. [2:35] John 1:14, NKJV 14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. [8:35] Proverbs 9:10, NKJV 10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. [12:26] Psalm 1:1–3, NKJV 1 Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; 2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he meditates day and night. 3 He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper. [22:13] John 8:32, NKJV 32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. [25:49] John 17:17, NKJV 17 Sanctify them in the truth: thy word is truth. [26:03] Psalm 119:130, NKJV 130 The entrance of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple. [26:55] Psalm 119:99, NKJV 99 I have more understanding than all my teachers, For Your testimonies are my meditation. [27:32] Psalm 37:4, NKJV 4 Delight yourself also in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart. [28:23] 1 Samuel 1, NKJV (full chapter) [32:00] John 15:5, NKJV 5 I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. [33:15] John 15:7, NKJV 7 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.   MENTIONED IN THIS EPISODE Please visit DrFunches.com for books, blogs and more helpful resources from Dr. Funches and for ways to get involved with this ministry, A Woman’s Worth Foundation.

In today’s episode, Dr. Siohvaughn Funches continues the series, “Your Dream is Coming to Pass.” Dr. Funches recaps the message from last week and reminds New Covenant believers that this message — your dream is coming to pass — is a timeless, relevant, rhema message, word, and revelation from God. This is something you could listen to, time and time again and it would only do you good. God is faithful. He cannot lie. The Word of God is certain and sure. The blessings of God are not just for our benefit or the benefit of our loved ones at home but the benefit of everyone.   Dr. Funches looks at the life of Joseph in Genesis. As Joseph was prophesied in a dream to rule over them, his brothers jealously sold him into slavery to the Ishmaelites. Joseph was taken to Egypt but God repeatedly showed favor to Joseph, placing him in a position of power. Dr. Funches reviews the story of Potiphar’s wife accusing Joseph and causing him to be a prisoner. God continues to show favor to Joseph and he is promoted over all the prisoners. Joseph interprets the dreams of the butler and the baker but was kept in prison for two more years, until Pharaoh had troubling dreams and Joseph was summoned to interpret the dream. God gave the interpretation of the dreams and the solution to the upcoming famine to Joseph. Pharaoh promoted Joseph over Potiphar and the entire nation, under Pharaoh. God, in His mercy and grace, did that for Joseph. Dr. Funches explains that God’s blessings and promises can come to pass in an instant. Joseph later saved his own family and his nation with grain stored during the years of plenty.   God kept Joseph’s heart from bitterness, loneliness, and dismay. Listen in to hear how God will bless with power the New Covenant believers who believe Jesus.   KEY BIBLE VERSES [4:15] Isaiah 55:10, 11, NKJV 10 “For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, And do not return there, But water the earth, And make it bring forth and bud, That it may give seed to the sower And bread to the eater, 11 So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. [8:41] Mark 4:1–9, 13–20, NKJV 1 (read or listen to last week’s message.) [18:17] Genesis 37:1–10, NKJV 1 Now Jacob dwelt in the land where his father was a stranger, in the land of Canaan. 2 This is the history of Jacob. Joseph, being seventeen years old, was feeding the flock with his brothers. And the lad was with the sons of Bilhah and the sons of Zilpah, his father’s wives; and Joseph brought a bad report of them to his father. 3 Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his children, because he was the son of his old age. Also he made him a tunic of many colors. 4 But when his brothers saw that their father loved him more than all his brothers, they hated him and could not speak peaceably to him. 5 Now Joseph had a dream, and he told it to his brothers; and they hated him even more. 6 So he said to them, “Please hear this dream which I have dreamed: 7 There we were, binding sheaves in the field. Then behold, my sheaf arose and also stood upright; and indeed your sheaves stood all around and bowed down to my sheaf.” 8 And his brothers said to him, “Shall you indeed reign over us? Or shall you indeed have dominion over us?” So they hated him even more for his dreams and for his words. 9 Then he dreamed still another dream and told it to his brothers, and said, “Look, I have dreamed another dream. And this time, the sun, the moon, and the eleven stars bowed down to me.” 10 So he told it to his father and his brothers; and his father rebuked him and said to him, “What is this dream that you have dreamed? Shall your mother and I and your brothers indeed come to bow down to the earth before you?” 11 And his brothers envied him, but his father kept the matter in mind. For the believer — for the born again Christian, faith in Jesus leads to receiving all the blessings God has in mind for His people. If God sends you His will in a dream, you know it will come to pass. Please listen in to find more of the blessings of faith in the Word.   KEY BIBLE VERSES [13:15] Isaiah 55:10, 11, NKJV 10 “For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, And do not return there, But water the earth, And make it bring forth and bud, That it may give seed to the sower And bread to the eater, 11 So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.” [21:41] Mark 4:1-9, NKJV 1 And again He began to teach by the sea. And a great multitude was gathered to Him, so that He got into a boat and sat in it on the sea; and the whole multitude was on the land facing the sea. 2 Then He taught them many things by parables, and said to them in His teaching: 3 “Listen! Behold, a sower went out to sow. 4 And it happened, as he sowed, that some seed fell by the wayside; and the birds of the air came and devoured it. 5 Some fell on stony ground, where it did not have much earth; and immediately it sprang up because it had no depth of earth. 6 But when the sun was up it was scorched, and because it had no root it withered away. 7 And some seed fell among thorns; and the thorns grew up and choked it, and it yielded no crop. 8 But other seed fell on good ground and yielded a crop that sprang up, increased and produced: some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some a hundred.” 9 And He said to them, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear!” [22:46] Mark 4:13-20, NKJV 13 And He said to them, “Do you not understand this parable? How then will you understand all the parables? 14 The sower sows the word. 15 And these are the ones by the wayside where the word is sown. When they hear, Satan comes immediately and takes away the word that was sown in their hearts. 16 These likewise are the ones sown on stony ground who, when they hear the word, immediately receive it with gladness; 17 and they have no root in themselves, and so endure only for a time. Afterward, when tribulation or persecution arises for the word’s sake, immediately they stumble. 18 Now these are the ones sown among thorns; they are the ones who hear the word, 19 and the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches, and the desires for other things entering in choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful. 20 But these are the ones sown on good ground, those who hear the word, accept it, and bear fruit: some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some a hundred.”   MENTIONED IN THIS EPISODE Please visit DrFunches.com for books, blogs and more helpful resources from Dr. Funches and for ways to get involved with this ministry, A Woman’s Worth Foundation.

This episode series reminds us of a very simple yet powerful truth: when you follow Jesus' instructions, you experience the miraculous and enjoy the answer to your prayers! It is the Lord who leads us to our promised land and causes us to triumph, but He doesn't always do it in a way we expect or think. Thus, it is imperative that no matter how unorthodox the Lord's instructions may seem to us as humans, we need to follow them! Thank you for joining us here on The One Thing That's Needful podcast, where Dr. Siohvaughn Funches expounds on the gospel of Jesus Christ and the New Covenant of grace that He has placed every believer in, helping believers understand that in the New Covenant, Christ has done it all and there remains one thing for a believer to do in order to receive it: only believe. Since the Word of God promises that the faith to believe comes by hearing and hearing the Word of Christ, today, you will do just that and you will believe. And as a result, you will inherit every promise God made you and fulfill the destiny Jesus gave you.   KEY BIBLE VERSES [4:16] John 1:17, NASB 17 For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ. [7:29] Exodus 20 (the Ten Commandments; the Old Covenant). [9:47] Hebrews 8:10-13, NKJV 10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. 11 None of them shall teach his neighbor, and none his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them. 12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more. 13 In that He says, “A new covenant,” He has made the first obsolete. Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away. [13:11] Romans 5:20, NKJV 20 Moreover the law entered that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more, [13:21] Romans 6:14, NKJV 14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. [14:17] Galatians 3:10, NKJV 10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things which are written in the book of the law, to do them.” [16:55] Galatians 3:13, NKJV 13 Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”), [20:00] 2 Corinthians 3:7-11, NKJV 7 But if the ministry of death, written and engraved on stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of the glory of his countenance, which glory was passing away, 8 how will the ministry of the Spirit not be more glorious? 9 For if the ministry of condemnation had glory, the ministry of righteousness exceeds much more in glory. 10 For even what was made glorious had no glory in this respect, because of the glory that excels. 11 For if what is passing away was glorious, what remains is much more glorious. [22:16] 2 Corinthians 3:4-6, NKJV 4 And we have such trust through Christ toward God. 5 Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God, 6 who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life. [23:59] Exodus 19:11-12, NKJV 11 And let them be ready for the third day. For on the third day the Lord will come down upon Mount Sinai in the sight of all the people. 12 You shall set bounds for the people all around, saying, ‘Take heed to yourselves that you do not go up to the mountain or touch its base. Whoever touches the mountain shall surely be put to death.’ [25:42] 1 Corinthians 6:19, NKJV 19 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? [25:54] Galatians 2:20, NKJV 20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. [26:43] Galatians 3:11, NKJV 11 But that no one is justified by the law in the sight of God is evident, for “the just shall live by faith.” [27:01] Romans 8:33, NKJV 33 Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. [27:28] Romans 3:28, NKJV 28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith apart from the deeds of the law. [27:38] Romans 4:5, NKJV 5 But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness, [27:55] Romans 4:6, NKJV 6 just as David also describes the blessedness of the man to whom God imputes righteousness apart from works: [28:06] Romans 5:1, NKJV 1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,   MENTIONED IN THIS EPISODE Please visit DrFunches.com for more information or ways to get involved with the ministry God has blessed me with, A Woman’s Worth Foundation.

Continuing on our reflection on following whatever He tells you without second thoughts, we now meditate on the story of the healing of Naaman from leprosy. Despite being a foreigner, the Lord sent Elijah to him, using the prophet as His shadow of healing. May his story remind us that humility is a needed factor in realizing the blessings God bestows upon us. If we let pride get in our way, our souls will remain in the dirt. If God opens a path for us, we have no other choice but to walk down it, however unorthodox or questionable it is. He does not lie. He does not falter in His faith. After all, He is the Way! As we continue to discuss the powerful and meaningful mission of following the Lord, we give a closer look at the miracles we experience in our lives. You are called to do whatever He tells you to do, and something magical will surely happen next. Miracles may not always be as we expect them to be, but Jesus knows what's best for us, what we deserve, and what we are praying for. Our understanding may not fathom the Lord's plans for us, but He is with us every step of the way should we choose to follow Him. With Jesus, everything is possible. After all, He is the way! This episode series reminds us of a very simple yet powerful truth: when you follow Jesus' instructions, you experience the miracles and enjoy the answer to your prayers! It is the Lord who leads us to our promised land and causes us to triumph, but He doesn't always do it in a way we expect or think. Thus, it is imperative that no matter how unorthodox the Lord's instructions may seem to us as humans, we need to follow them! Jesus will always get you to where you need to be… after all, He is the way! Love the show? Subscribe, rate, review, and share!
