Katy sat down with her old friend Andrea Matthews, who is currently working as a Shelter Project Manager with the Joint Office of Homeless Services in Portland, OR. The agency is a joint collaboration between the city of Portland and the surrounding Multnoma County created to address the growing homeless situation in the greater Portland metro area. Andrea’s particular project is located in her neighborhood where she is chair of the Arbor Lodge Neighborhood association board. You can see more about the project at the links below. In addition to learning more about homeless services in Portland, we took a deeper dive into homelessness, and the spiritual roots of both looking away from uncomfortable problems and the hope in leaning in to embrace them as part of our love and responsibility for ourselves and each other. The name of this episode comes from a coaching concept about the stages of change. Larkin named it and we agreed that we’re in the goo phase of the podcast, in the chrysalis melting down and not yet ready to pivot and relaunch (YUCK!). We’ll learn more about this coaching concept next time from Larkin. Themes of transition, reflection, and the need to reconnect with our tools and resources for weathering tough times carried us through the hour. This is not the Lost Episode from two weeks ago. We have decided not to air that one due to: TMI, oversharing, irresponsible sharing! We're trying to bring a close to our freshman season of navel gazing and rededicate ourselves to helping bring a little more freedom to the world. We are committed to transparency and sharing the fact that we’re struggling right now, but without subjecting our listeners to the gory undigested slog through our process. Things have been a little topsy turvey with our podcast schedule which led us to the decision that it's time to rethink the podcast as a whole. As part of that process, we actually recorded a come-to-Jesus meeting/episode this week as an exercise in transparency...And then realized we'd been a little too transparent (possible even for us) and need to edit the episode, maybe record additional content, stuff like that! So we’ll have that for you next week.  In the meantime, we decided to share a tool from Larkin’s coaching repertoire called “The Body Compass,” which is a great tool for decision-making and developing inner and body-knowing. It's a short 25 minute segment. Enjoy! This week’s episode is not for little kids, but when Katy said, “Oh God, are young people going to listen to this?” Stefan said, “You know what, I hope so! Because I feel like, if I’d have known when I was a young person, that sex wasn’t all this shit I was told it was about, I think it would have changed my life.” So, make your decisions accordingly. Katy and Stefan sat down to talk more about sex and tantra! Stefan wanted to follow up on his advice to listeners to search for tantra resources online because after last week’s episode he found a quick Google search turned up none of the same resources he’s found so helpful. So we went into more detail on: “edging” and energetic or dry orgasm (which allows men to become multi-orgasmic). Stefan contends that developing edging capacity is easily attainable – that within two weeks you’ll see a difference and have a strong sense of the improvement gradient that leads to energetic orgasm and mind-blowing sex. We talked about sympathetic reactions and the importance of communication and compatibility. We also talked about tantra and Chinese Taoist sexual practice, as well as erectile and prostate issues, and the role that sex therapy can play in improving not only one’s sex life but one’s health and life as a whole. We talked about masturbation’s role in a healthy sex life and in developing sexual capacity (the practice part of it all). Finally, we delved into cervical orgasm, and its potential for cosmic orgasm equal in power to its potential for pain and trauma, the A-spot and P-spot, areas adjacent to the cervix and key players in the Cosmic O! As well as de-armoring therapy for removing trauma held in the cervix. At around 1:13:00, we shifted gears to talk about some different (new) approaches to anxiety and chronic pain, including the new innovations in psychedellic therapies and microdosing, and speculating on other more pragmatic approaches to changing patterns of behavior, thought, and neural-wiring–how to retrain ourselves for the environment when for example, the landscape of our lives related to stress has changed! Stefan has been addressing chest pains related to anxiety and Katy is still wrestling with her chronic pain. QUOTES “To really have mindblowing sex, you gotta be pretty synced up with somebody. Or at least in my experience, the better the connection at all levels, the better the sex is.” “Sex can be a whole nother mind-blowing, amazing, fantastic, let’s do that on vacation! Let’s just go somewhere and have sex for three days – fantastic! It doesn’t get a whole lot better than that.” “Seeing your default mental patterns can be facilitated by developing mindfulness.” Links A Girl's Guide to 21st Century Sex Foreplay – Radio Couples and Sex Therapy podcast (highly recommended by Stefan) Theme Music Credits Track: Travel With Us — Vendredi [Audio Library Release], Music provided by Audio Library Plus, Watch: https://youtu.be/o-rpKzt4KSY, Free Download / Stream: https://alplus.io/travel-us

This week, Katy and Larkin sat down with Stefan to talk about SEX and tantra! We broke the ice with funny stories from childhood: The origins of “scrotum-head,” the infamous two-finger joke, and other rude boy anecdotes. Then we carried on through adolescence and social programming to the power of tantra to open up a world of wonder in sexual fulfillment that, according to Stefan, is pretty accessible and not that difficult to achieve. Lots of food for thought! Katy's brother Stefan has stepped in to guest anchor, to give Larkin a break from her 60+ hour a week schedule at the Wine Lab and the giddy phase of her new relationship! :-) Today was our first conversation. We started a little slow, but we're looking forward to more. In fact, after we went back and watched some of the episode, Stefan got inspired to propose "Take 2: The Juice!" in which we revisit some of today's topics with the brakes off "and really give it a squeeze." Ha ha!   We talked podcasting, the value in contributing other voices to the mix, pursuing the higher parts of the pyramid in Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs while working in the gig economy, working for Vasse Vaught Metalcrafting https://vassevaught.com/, creating content, and then we took a break to attempt a first drone flight here at ALMF Headquarters with the hopes of getting video footage. Sadly, we broke the drone...! There's a little footage from our afternoon debacle. Then we took a dive into Stefan's spiritual journey from pure this-world happy-go-lucky pragmatist and near dropout high school student to the serious, hardworking (and highly competent) earner of adulthood who in middle age is quite the philosopher with a consciousness practice. How did that happen? We took a first pass at it today. There were some funny moments talking about Stefan's realization in his mid-thirties that he had zero emotional intelligence...like a caveman...and had to use a diagram to figure out what his emotions even were! Then a deep dive into the process of creative inspiration and Katy's extended experience of writing under the direction of a Muse and ending with some humility. :-) Theme Music Credits Track: Travel With Us — Vendredi [Audio Library Release], Music provided by Audio Library Plus, Watch: https://youtu.be/o-rpKzt4KSY, Free Download / Stream: https://alplus.io/travel-us

This week, Larkin nursed a sore throat from the Sugar Shine Shack and Katy tuned in from her bed - not in pj’s, just in need of a softer perch. We were both exhausted from probably over-extending under the influence of the Full Moon in Pisces, which this year lined up pretty close to Neptune. Themes of overdoing: fun, drinks with friends, games of dice…! Or putting together the pdf *Starshine* Planner in a day! And Larkin felt we should share the mess as well as the victories, so we tuned in for that and had a lot to talk about that circled back around the the larger issues we all seem to be facing: How to mourn endings, how to speak up for ourselves and say what we need and what we mean, how to manage social pressures and expectations, perfectionism, how to be in touch with rather than deny our rage since this probably leads unerringly to depression. After all, in homage to Libra where the sun will pass the next month starting on Wednesday September 22, a Stepford life can only be lived on Prozac! Which led to our title meme: “Perfection is boring.” This will probably be our last printable *Starshine*  Planner. We’re going to be dialing the Planner back going forward to create a tool that mostly Larkin and Katy will use to help navigate these wild and woolly times and for Katy to keep honing her craft since she got insight this month that part of her calling has to do with activating or awakening people through archetypal astrology (she’s not quite ready yet, if ever!). But that it isn’t necessary for A Little More Free to be the dispensary of astrological transit insight (per a conversation Katy had with her guide this morning). So, yes, we talked astrology: Venus 5th Gate (our current gate) and next month’s insane Venus 6th Gate exact conjunct the South Node in Sagittarius a few hours after Mercury retrograde’s exact conjunction with the Sun (start of the Mercury Cycle) and a day and a half after Mars’ exact conjunction with the Sun! Mind bombs. More in the September/October 2021 Planner. We also debriefed the lost episode, last week’s Episode 26 - Vaccines and Civil Liberties - a little about why we cancelled it, some take-aways, and the adjacent issue of surveillance in the wake of 911 and the Patriot Act, the rise of better and better AI (ps - this is Elon Musk’s top fear - unregulated development of AI), and reluctance to reveal or commit too much to social media, how to take down a Facebook account, stuff like that! Quotes and Excerpts: “We make a mess, and then we clean it up. And then we make another mess. And we just keep doing that, and that’s our lives.” -Davarshi’s lecture on the Baghavad Gita at Kripalu. “Perfection is the enemy of the good,” learned in Psychology school. “There’s no way I’m a perfectionist. I’m nowhere near perfect.” - Larkin Finally, we do have a donate button on our website (see the main menu at the top at alittlemorefree.com), if you want to contribute! We need to raise $400 for Larkin’s very own Shure SM7B microphone so we can each have our own mike when we record in person together (we need an XLR mike for that). We planned a short podcast but still went over an hour! Oh well… First we revisited T. S. Eliot, then we dove into remembering jewels from our time around the fire last week talking with members of Sustain Floyd and a younger generation concerned about climate change, reflecting on our loss of connection with nature, and the nature of change both in activism and personally. Some juicy excerpts include:  “I feel at home in my heart.”  “The big theme for this gathering around the fire was talking about healing the disconnect with nature.”  “We need to stop complaining. We need to gather our strengths, and expand our minds and expand our hearts. Because we’re going to have to go through this. And we’re going to have to go through it together.” - Woody Crenshaw (with a little added by Larkin).  "We need a global solution to a global problem."  "We need to build local communities for when these systems break down."  "Even though the problems seem enormous, if you focus on what you can do in one thing, focus on what’s right in front of you, that can make a big difference."  "It seems like it’s a drop in the bucket, but it can make a big difference. You never know what’s going to be a tipping point."  “People want the ‘no chigger’ life. But you don’t grow and your soul doesn’t explode from that kind of life.”  “I found my first gray hair, y’all!”  “When someone transforms into a different version of themselves, even if it's a more awake, authentic, happier version, the people that knew you before are going to struggle with that.”  “It's time to let our walls down. It's time to communicate. It's time to be honest.”  "We believe in you. The world needs your light."  "Walk barefoot in the grass!"   QUOTES & POEMS:  Revisiting the T.S. Eliot quote from a Episode 23, we found it was part of a longer poem, but we still got it wrong! It's part of a much much longer poem, and this is just a small section: “I said to my soul, be still, and wait without hope For hope would be hope for the wrong thing; wait without love, For love would be love of the wrong thing; there is yet faith But the faith and the love and the hope are all in the waiting. Wait without thought, for you are not ready for thought: So the darkness shall be the light, and the stillness the dancing. Whisper of running streams, and winter lightning. The wild thyme unseen and the wild strawberry, The laughter in the garden, echoed ecstasy Not lost, but requiring, pointing to the agony Of death and birth.” - T. S. Eliot, from “East Coker,” Four Quartets   Another excerpt from a much longer poem: “We shall not cease from exploration And the end of all our exploring Will be to arrive where we started And know the place for the first time.” —T.S. Eliot, from “Little Gidding,” Four Quartets   “History is made out of common dreams, groundswells, turning points, watersheds…” -- Rebecca Solnit, Hope in the Dark   “First they ignore you. Then they laugh at you. Then they fight you. Then you win.” -- Gandhi   Theme Music Credits Track: Travel With Us — Vendredi [Audio Library Release], Music provided by Audio Library Plus, Watch: https://youtu.be/o-rpKzt4KSY, Free Download / Stream: https://alplus.io/travel-us

In Episode 24, we chatted with Hummingbird Star of Activist Astro about her new course, “Astrology for the Revolution” which starts Monday, September 6, 2021 on the Virgo New Moon (which, by the way, culminates in a Full Moon conjunct Neptune in Pisces!!) – a powerful time to open more deeply into your spirituality, begin a creative project, or to get on the great wave of awakening happening on the planet right now (if you aren’t already)! That’s a bold statement, but we’re making it. We’ve seen too many examples! People are beginning to show up and stand up in who they are. The puzzle pieces are beginning to drop into place, resonating in their sacred place in the grand order of being. The Virgo New Moon is an invitation to Initiation in any season as Virgo is the archetype of sacred initiation. After we said goodbye to Hummingbird, we ranged far and wide on this amazing season of activations we’ve been witnessing. We talked about Richard Tarnas’ insight that the current disconnection we’re feeling from nature has the shape of an initiatory process, but this time for all of humanity and all of Gaia, with extraordinarily high stakes and high hopes. We got updates from the Witches of Wine Lab, talked shop about podcasting, the unexpected transformational process this podcast has been, and Seth Godin’s key insights into the process (specifically The Practice: Shipping Creative Work) which led us to some new developments… We’ll be launching a Venmo donation options on the September 6 new moon! We talked money and spirituality, which is always a topic spiritual types have to contend with. This is our first episode back home from travels and just the two of us in a deep dive conversation. We had a lot to talk about apparently! Larkin opened with a poem: The Guest House by Rumi (Coleman Barks), which, despite having been a source of ambivalent annoyance over the years (along with all manner of poems like it used as inspiration by the New Age), proved somewhat helpful in dealing with difficult emotions this week. We talked Mars-Venus stuff as a way to understand the intense ups and downs we and others seem to be experiencing right now, Larkin's distillation of the summer’s insights, saint’s aspirations, speculation on an eighth “starshine” chakra, Katy coached Larkin around pivoting to a different kind of work, and then we got down to the meat of it: Embracing being a hot mess!! Embracing being honest. So many people are suffering and how does being perfect and holding up a false facade help? In the end, Larkin just wants to be a High Priestess! Which she can totally do (if she lets go of having to make a living from it) ;-) Meanwhile Katy reported on shifting toward a new career in cleaning + Marie Kondo 🙂 And we rounded it up with sorrow and hope for the planet, and warnings about the dangers of AI from Elon Musk of all people. In Part Two of our interview with Diane Goff, we heard all about her kundalini rising experience, a three year off-and-on event that began at a psychic development conference (not part of the agenda). In reflecting on the tumultuous nature of it, she thought that probably being a New Age dilettante frolicking and dabbling in shamanism and other New Age pursuits had contributed to her predicament, along with the stress of caring for her mother through dementia. She has promised us more stories, and maybe Katy will share some of hers in a future episode. This week our special guest was Diane Goff, Larkin’s mom and Katy’s “Diane” since childhood. We invited her to share her stories from the period from 1985 to 2001 when Uranus and Neptune were conjunct within 15 degrees known colloquially as the New Age! These slow-moving outer planets only align in a conjunction every 170 years, and their influence is subtle but still powerful. Richard Tarnas describes these periods as “epochal shifts of cultural vision,” [1] and the New Age, for better or for worse, was one of those times! Not everyone embraced its currents, but for those who did, it was a lively time of exploration and experimentation. Diane shared some of her highs and lows from that time. We ran long, so we broke the episode in half and will publish the second half next week. This week, she talks about the group of women artist friends, Web 6, who became an enduring feature of her life, and her discovery of shamanic journey work. Her powerful emotional connection with her power animal, Kan, would sustain her through the painful loss of her parents and long decline of her mother to dementia. Her shamanic journey work would also play (according to some analyses) an unexpected role in her kundalini rising, which she shares in part two, coming next week. Tracking the Uranus-Neptune Alignment Uranus conjunct Neptune was within 20 degrees from 1983 to 2004, and made 3 exact conjunction alignments in 1993: February 2, August 20, and October 24. It was joined by Jupiter, which made an exact conjunction with Neptune on January 9, 1997, and with Uranus on February 15, 1997 (within 15 degrees ~ March 1996 – December 1997). Saturn joined Uranus and Neptune earlier in the alignment period (within 15 degrees ~ 1986-1992). Saturn was exact conjunct Uranus on February 12, June 26, October 18, 1988, and exact conjunct Neptune on March 3, June 23, and November 13, 1989. The Berlin Wall came down on November 9, 1989 presided over by Uranus, Venus, Saturn and Neptune all within 10 degrees(Saturn and Neptune conjunct within 14 minutes) while opposing Jupiter-Chiron (Jupiter within half a degree of the tight Saturn-Neptune conjunction)! And more, but that’s a good place to start… Music Credits Track: Travel With Us — Vendredi [Audio Library Release] Music provided by Audio Library Plus Watch: https://youtu.be/o-rpKzt4KSY Free Download / Stream: https://alplus.io/travel-us Footnotes [1] Tarnas, R. In this *Starshine* Episode, Katy had some corrections to Episode 14's *Starshine* Planner launch episode, advocates for speculating and being in inquiry as an astrologer (as opposed to trying to be "right" and an astrologer guru). When we looked at the current Mars-Venus saga (Mars and Venus aligned on July 13 but the best view of the alignment was the evening of July 12, with the crescent moon above them) and the realization that this particular Mars-Venus conjunction is inherently bittersweet. Plus a look at Chiron that brings us full circle to Mount Olympus! Corrections to *Starshine* Episode 14: 1) The exact alignment of retrograde Mercury with the sun occurred half a day after the eclipse, not before it. 2) It is not rare but the norm for planets to go through a stationary point when changing directions. Apparently, I had recently changed a setting in my astrology software and hadn’t noticed this before it began displaying the stationary periods for me. However, it isn’t part of the astrological traditions around the planetary cycles, especially the Mercury cycle, to my knowledge. 3) Various astrological traditions have Mercury teachings, and Shamanic Astrology has a much more extensive tradition than most. I simply feel that there are big gaps and that this year, more information about Mercury is emerging in synchronistic timing with the close alignment of the beginning of the Master Mercury cycle and the June 2021 solar eclipse in Gemini. Details and tracking here: https://alittlemorefree.com/starshine/2021-2022-mercury-cycle/

For Episode 16, we talked about the recent and ongoing Mars and Venus opposite Saturn square Uranus trine Chiron, and Katy's head-on collision with an unanticipated archetypal expression of Saturn: the death of a friend. We talked life and death and the ways that always spinning the brightest version of one's life story can close off intimacy, as it did around this friend's death. Michael Pollan's book about psychedellic therapies for terminally ill patients made an appearance. We also talked about camping in the forest in North Carolina, Larkin's whirlwind of friends and sightseeing in Seattle for which she was grateful but a tad overwhelmed (as a Highly Sensitive Person), plans for exploring the Olympic Peninsula and Katy's anxiety about getting back to work while trying to hang in there with the Mars-Venus Saga currently unfolding around that issue for herself, and the weather :-) Jade had to reschedule our podcast conversation about shamanism and healing, but we'll record that in a couple weeks. Synchronistically, Michael Pollan was on Joe Rogan on the same day we recorded this...and he talks about forest bathing! We have decided not to make people subscribe to our newsletter to receive the Planner. Simply go here https://alittlemorefree.com/starshine/. If you love it, come back next month and share it with all your friends! Our goal is to produce it once a month and work up to a quarterly planner.   Because the special astrological period we're in will almost be over by the time the planner takes effect on June 20 at the start of sun in Cancer, here is a juicy nugget of revealed insight about Mercury on the North Node (where it has been since early May) in its retrograde conjunct the sun phase:  ☤ Hermetic Mercury – The (speculative) Hermetic Mercury phase while it is retrograde conjunct the sun near the North Node happens once a year. This is a transmitter of Hermetic knowledge about how the universe works! Very cool. This is a good time to delve into any area of universal knowledge, to seek insight, to find your own revelations. Information coming through right now is very progressive and aligned with your personal growth or path in life. This phase ends on June 21 (at 15 degrees separation) or on June 18 (at 10 degrees separation, another bit of speculation, tradition has it at 10 degrees), when Mercury emerges in the morning sky. Mercury virtually stands still from June 21 to 23, though technically it begins to move direct on June 22. That makes this period while not yet moving direct in the morning sky a very short and special time. We are speculatively calling it the Investigator of Knowledge, able to pull out the golden (living) threads in any body of knowledge. When it turns direct in the morning sky near the North Node, it becomes a messenger, bearing the good news. A perfect time to launch this planner! This was the episode of the starfish, which appeared in abundance all over the beach at Pawleys Island, SC where Larkin recorded this episode…and as stars on the sweatshirts she bought just before heading to the beach! An example of synchronicity as a marker that you’re on your path, that you’re living and moving in alignment with your soul as Jade the Shaman reminded me this weekend. Why are the stars and the starfish showing up right now? The story about the starfish is that there’s a wasting disease causing them to lose their grip on the sea floor so they’re washing up and getting stranded by the tide. Beyond that, who knows? The stars are aligning everywhere, the connections interweaving us all. Larkin remembered the presence of Spider Woman, Co-Creator, in all of her recent readings, reflected and repeated here in the synchronistic repetition of the patterns of stars: on sand and shirts and even in our upcoming Celestial Calendar for the June 20-July 22, 2021 month of Cancer! But reflected more deeply and meaningfully in Carolyn Myss’ perspective on co-creation, which I shared today after watching her recent free teaser webinar for a paid series called The Great Transformation on Sounds True. Carolyn Myss insists that co-creation is not about materialistic Santa Claus fantasies of wish-fulfillment, but is what we do every moment of every day. Every breath we take, every action, every reaction, thought and attitude is a co-creation. Through our thoughts, words, and deeds, we dramatically and powerfully impact all of creation: because we are intimately interconnected–which is the teaching of Spider Woman! We are all woven together in a great and entangled web. (We are all in this together!) Furthermore, we can participate in the great transformations we are called to at this time by leaning into the power of love. A great example Carolyn shared was about tackling that little spike of envy we so often feel when we hear of another person’s success or love or joy. Or maybe we go farther to criticize or undermine someone out of envy or competition. Leaning into loving generosity to genuinely celebrate another person’s happiness or success is a great place to practice the power of love, especially if it’s hard to do. Indeed, anything that forces us out of the myth of separation and scarcity and into loving connection triggers an internal transformation. Jesus told Glenda Green that the instruction to “love your enemies” was not meant to create weaklings but to galvanize the heart because the heart is the only part of you that can genuinely love your enemies! It’s like radical kung fu! So this work is really like becoming a Jedi warrior to seek out all the dark and hidden places where we fall short of lovingness. Doing this work reduces our output of psychic toxicity and radiates out in a way that makes a difference, changes lives, affects things even at the worldwide scale–try it and watch what happens! Elsewhere this week, a friend found a life they love building boats the old-fashioned way, I got a big upgrade in my understanding of Shamanic Journeying from Jade the Shaman, teaching yoga as an option to work that doesn’t involve standing or sitting at a desk, and toying with the idea of developing our property in North Carolina so that we can share the rapturous beauty of the forest in our sheltered private valley. As usual, this week's Astrology Deep Dive is full of misspeak errors! I am so sorry. The most important one occurs where I'm talking about the criteria for an Aries Stellium. Bottom line: a stellium is any cluster of bodies (planets, Sun, Moon) within 10 degrees of each other. A stellium by sign, (e.g., an Aries Stellium), usually gives more weight to major bodies and less weight to asteroids, centaurs, and Kuiper Belt objects. We also don't tend to call something an Aries Stellium if there are three bodies in Aries separated by 10 degrees or more, but once you get four or five bodies in Aries, no matter the degree of separation, it starts to carry the same weight as a flush in poker. To carry the poker analogy further, if they are clustered within ten degrees in a sign, this would correspond to a straight flush. However, you can have a stellium that spans two signs, as is the case right now with Sun, Mercury in Aries within ten degrees of Venus in Taurus, which I didn't clarify either. Phew! Sorry, long technical explanation that I definitely botched giving it verbally. The last and the first episode... listen for details :-) Notes from Katy: I didn't make Larkin's dream board with her, I was with her working on my own dream board when she made hers (begins at 1:14:07). Also, I did not have a Saturn transit recently end (pulled that out of some stray hat, not based on looking at it), so I want to revisit that whole topic (begins at 00:11:34). In this episode, Katy and Larkin appreciate fan mail, discuss the value of thoughtful feedback, feeling a little more free this week because of a beautiful hike with a friend for the first time since the lockdown for Larkin, and because of some shedding of narcissist motivations for Katy. Plus COVID-19 vaccination, different vaccination strategies between liberal and conservative states, Seth Godin's The Practice and the productive evolution of creative work that is shared (or shipped as Seth calls it), repetition as a teaching tool, the time-release power of parental guidance, getting pissed off by the truth, "people are a tangle," decluttering spiritual motivations and the analogy of untangling the rigging and setting the sails of a ship in alignment with the rudder, surrendering to the Void space, "serving the wise heart," finding a guiding motivation or credo, more on astrology and the 7th house and Taurus/Scorpio signatures in Larkin's chart, an addendum on the Neptune square the Nodes transit discussion from last week, a project to align the moon and a number of other cycles, an experiment in renegotiating intent, spiritual endurance, building up endurance to discomfort, strength developed in the Dark Night, when no amount of coaching can help--because your coaches don't know or you can't hear their answers, how an intent can shape and guide the information that comes to you, Human Design on open and defined centers, and a brief cameo from Michael! In this episode, Larkin and Katy discuss the current trend of manic over-commitment that seems to be going around, maybe due to spring, coming out of pandemic lockdown, and the astrological feature that overshadows this year (Neptune square the Nodes); differentiating great ideas from ideas that are wrong for you; Human Design; styles of decision-making and choosing a career; the perils of a counseling psychology master's degree (lol); the perils of fear-based decision-making, desperate grasping, and guilt-tripping; dreams about exes and clinging to the myth of the fairy tale love story; retelling the story of finding something to genuinely love about money (42:00 to 49:00 for those who have already heard the story and want to skip it); loving the birds in the yard and finding solace in YouTube rescue videos from The Dodo; post-lockdown plans; the Pando, the oldest aspen stand in the world (I see that the estimated age has been severely revised down since 2019 when I found out about it so maybe it's not the oldest tree). In the second hour, we took a deep dive into astrology. To spare those disinclined to go on that journey, we split the episode into two parts. Listen to the Astrology Deep Dive here.
