Your Financial Legacy
By Maria L Ellis
Hello and Welcome to the Financial Legacy Podcast. I am your host Maria Ellis. On the Financial Legacy Podcast, we will talk about Financial Planning and Estate Planning Legacy. Financial planning is the process of determining a person's or a company’s financial needs or goals for the future and the means to achieve them. Financial planning involves deciding what investments and activities would be most appropriate under both personal and broader economic circumstances. Financial Legacy is the process of estate planning to select who will receive your assets when you pass on. One goal of estate planning is to make sure your wealth and other assets go to those people you intend (and not to others), with a particular emphasis on minimizing taxes so that your beneficiaries can keep more of your wealth. Good estate planning also can reduce family strife, and provide clear end-of-life directives should an individual become incapacitated before ultimately passing away. It is important to do estate planning asap, especially if you are reaching your golden years or you are thinking about retirement. Every week I will bring you my perspectives as well as the perspective of my guests on Financial and Estate Planning including Trusts & Wills and Irrevocable Trusts. Over the last 20 years, as a banker, real estate advisor, and financial planner, I have learned the importance of creating and securing wealth, in legitimate ways to minimize taxes and to enable you to keep more of your money. On our Financial Legacy podcast, I will share my experience and secrets, why people put together an estate plan to protect their beneficiaries including to protect minor beneficiaries, or to protect adult beneficiaries from bad decisions, outside influences, creditor problems, and divorcing spouses. I want to help you achieve peace of mind and proper distribution of your assets.
