Deb Matthew MD, America’s Happy Hormones Doctor, wears many hats as a best-selling author, international speaker, private practice doctor, wife, and mom of 4 boys. She helps her patients restore their health by addressing the root cause of their symptoms (including hormone imbalances!) instead of just treating diseases with drugs. After suffering for years with exhaustion and irritability that prevented her from being the wife and mom that she wanted to be, she refocused her medical career to help others get their hormones back in balance. Dr. Deepa Verma is double board certified in family medicine and integrative holistic medicine. She graduated magna cum laude from The College of NJ, and is a graduate of Rutgers Medical School: formerly known as Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Dr. Verma completed her family medicine residency at Somerset Medical Center, and was elected chief resident. When she is not busy raising her three boys, Dr. Verma enjoys music, the beach, healthy cooking, reading, exercising, and hopes to one day travel the world. Dr. Verma is an accomplished dancer and tennis player, and enjoys being competitive in any sport or game. She has always harbored a passion for healthy and happy living, and instills those same personal values in her patients. Dr. Verma’s philosophy and approach to optimal living resonates in how she practices medicine: ”wholistically.” Spreading the wealth means spreading the health.   In 2013, Dr. Verma founded Synergistiq Integrative Health. After years of feeling unfulfilled by treating patients traditionally, Dr. Verma decided to change course—following her passion to educate and heal each individual as a whole, rather than a fragmented and dissected collection of systems. Today, Dr. Verma is deeply committed to the importance of integrative medicine, and practices exactly what she preaches: living her life the same way that she expects her patients to. Synergistiq Integrative Health represents peace, renewal, and rebirth, as the practice was born during a challenging time in Dr. Verma’s personal life. From the beginning, Dr. Verma’s goal has been to create a practice that could give patients an opportunity for health and happiness. Dr. Verma strives to enrich the lives of everyone she meets, as she understands the frustration and angst of patients who are sick and tired of feeling tired and sick.   Dr. Verma is an author and blogger for several publications, regularly appearing on Bay News 9 to discuss current health topics. She filmed a documentary about integrative medicine for Voices in America, hosted by James Earl Jones, and is working on the pilot for Plant Based Medicine. Dr. Verma additionally serves as a medical consultant for the online publication “Greatist,” and is a key opinion leader for Pathway Genomics.

Dr. Goodenowe’s research into the biochemical mechanisms of disease started in 1990. His curiosity about the biochemistry of life is as insatiable today as it was 30 years ago. In those 30 years, Dr. Goodenowe invented and developed advanced diagnostic and bioinformatic technologies, designed and manufactured novel and natural biochemical precursors, and identified biochemical prodromes of numerous diseases including Alzheimer’s disease and dementia, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, stroke, autism, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, and cancers of the colon, pancreas, ovary, breast, lung, kidney, liver, stomach, and others. And he is just getting warmed up. Dr. Goodenowe is now going beyond disease and the detection of biochemical dysfunctions to diagnose and the correction of biochemical dysfunctions to treat disease. Dr. Goodenowe’s new focus is to defeat the entropy of aging by creating strategic biochemical and biofunctional reserve capacity in advance of known disease risks such that the human body can maintain the physical and biological functions of life indefinitely and without disease.

Dr. Ginsberg completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Bowman-Gray School of Medicine in North Carolina before Houston’s sunny climate and the world renowned Medical Center brought her to Texas. Dr. Ginsberg has broad and deep experience providing comprehensive obstetrics and gynecology treatment, which is the basis of her special interest in optimizing methylation and prenatal genetics. As an Obstetrician/Gynecologist for over twenty years, Dr. Ginsberg has witnessed many negative trends in the health and wellness of the general patient population. She has become most concerned about the increasing levels of toxicity observed in both men and women of preconception age, which seems to be coupled with less awareness surrounding the importance of genetic health, diet, and lifestyle in preconception and pregnancy. These evolving negative trends have resulted in her integrating functional medicine into a clinical setting, while still ‘delivering babies’. With over 20 years of experience in the medical field, Dr. Ginsberg has created ways to combine the research and benefits of functional medicine into practical strategies to share with practitioners that treat women in preconception and pregnancy. Her goal is to empower practitioners and patients with the knowledge that can have a profound effect on future fertility, and improve the health of future generations.

Dr. Rosenberg has been involved with drug research since 1991. Having studied the mechanisms of cancer treatment failure, the following concept has become blatantly apparent to Dr. Rosenberg.   There are many substances that are toxic to cancer cells in vitro (outside of the body, in a culture medium), including chemotherapy and intravenous antioxidant therapy. These therapies, however, are more often then not, ineffective in vivo (inside the body). The primary reason for the ineffectiveness is that tumor blood flow is poor, resulting in a tumor that actually receives very little of the cytotoxic therapy that is being administered. In addition, poor tumor blood flow is associated with higher grade tumors and greater incidence of metastasis.   Dr. Rosenberg has since concentrated his efforts on improving blood flow to the cancer, while administering cytotoxic intravenous antioxidant therapy. In addition to using vasodilating therapy such as carbogen and isosorbide dinitrate, Dr. Rosenberg has just been granted approval status for an IND (investigational new drug) using Angiotensin II. Angiotensin II is frequently used in Japan in conjunction with chemotherapy to improve tumor blood flow.   Dr. Rosenberg recently appeared on Fox News in 2006, for inducing remission on a patient with metastatic lung cancer (to liver and spine) that was refractory to chemotherapy.
