Each one of us has our own Truth. It’s the sum of our deepest needs, our dearest values, and our most strongly held beliefs. Unfortunately, women leaders are trained to hide parts of themselves, or to water them down to keep other people comfortable.  This episode of Women in the Business Arena is about the power of truth-telling. Not just speaking truth to others, but owning our own Truth and honoring ourselves.  What’s standing between you and telling your whole Truth? Is it self-doubt, fear of rejection, or the assumption that you’re just Too Much? Laura and I will help you identify and remove those obstacles to being your authentic self, and discover the growth energy we uncover when we stop hiding our essential selves. Join us as we discuss:  Starting our truth-telling with the most important person in our lives: ourselves! Connecting to and trusting your body to help you understand your truth. The unbelievable energy savings we realize when we don’t have to guess at each other’s emotional states. Trusting ourselves and our energy, and allowing ourselves to express them without fear. One of the strongest barriers between us and the growth we’re seeking is internal and invisible. It’s rooted in the ways women were taught that certain parts of us are good and meant to be nurtured, while others are bad and should be rejected. We waste so much energy trying to block off or hush up feelings that we’re taught to fear. Laura and I want you to know that all the parts of your very human self are worthy. When we honor all our emotions and energies, we can turn our time and energy to integrating them, and moving forward as our whole, complete, authentic selves. In this episode in our series on growth, we’ll help you start to remove the obstacles between you and the self-acceptance and self-love you deserve. Join us as we discuss:  Reclaiming the energy we waste trying to fix ourselves. Looking at the parts of yourself as aspects to allow rather than problems to solve. The ways that integrating our whole selves helps us identify our priorities and make choices that are aligned with our values. When it comes to marketing, so many of us are doing Too Much. Social media, networking events, client calls, live video: the options are practically infinite. Trying to be everywhere at once is a recipe for disillusionment and burnout. Diluting ourselves doesn’t just sap our life force, it wastes our time and waters down our impact. This week, we continue our season’s theme around how Growth is a Removal Process. We ask a vital question.  How can you simplify your marketing to increase your impact, conserve your energy, and meet your ideal clients where they are? I’m excited to explore this topic with Nedra Rezinas. Nedra is a marketing consultant who helps service-based entrepreneurs learn to delegate and outsource so they can scale their business and do more work in their “zone of genius”. She has over 20 years of direct experience in marketing and online business, specializing in developing custom marketing strategies that attract high-value clients. Join us as we discuss:  Why it’s so important to have a deep understanding of who your ideal client is and where to find them. The lure of social media, and how to step away if it’s not working for you. Strategies that focus on your strengths and the tasks that excite you, instead of one-size-fits-all content generation. The benefits of generating and repurposing your evergreen content to help your ideal client find you. When you hear the word “resource,” what do you think about? If you’re like most of us, what comes to mind is external. Money, time, employees, training: they’re all things that come from outside ourselves. External resources are limited and finite. But inside each of us is an unlimited reserve of power & strength. This week, Laura and I talk about what we can embrace when we stop looking outside ourselves for sustenance and return to the infinite sources of power inside ourselves. Join us as we discuss:  Why it’s so important to know and tap into our core selves. The freedom we unlock when we access Self and develop our internal resilience.   Techniques you can integrate into your busy life that will help you begin to focus more fully on your amazing inner strength. In our culture, women are expected to “keep it all together” even when the pressure is pulling us apart. We are expected to hold space for others when we don’t even have space for ourselves. We shame ourselves for feeling fear or needing comfort. And we carry these ideas into our community spaces.   This week, we’re giving women (including ourselves) permission to remove that pressure and abandon the illusion of “having it all together”. We are also encouraging you to seek out spaces to be your authentic self. Investing in spaces that give you permission to truly be yourself can transform your life and work. It shifts your relationship with your values, your desires, and your power and helps you access your full potential. In a personal, intimate conversation, Laura and I explore the power we unlock when we allow ourselves room to be vulnerable.  Why having a safe space to express yourself is so crucial to enable your growth. Ways to identify the places and people that allow you to come as you are. How working through anxiety in a genuine community can help you show up courageously in more challenging circumstances. The resilience that comes from identifying and nurturing the spaces that embrace every aspect of yourself, even the messy parts.  Where can you follow Sonya:  Website: https://www.sonyastattmann.com/ (https://www.sonyastattmann.com/)  Social: https://www.instagram.com/sonya_stattmann/ (https://www.instagram.com/sonya_stattmann/) (@sonya_stattmann) https://www.linkedin.com/in/sonyastattmann/ (https://www.linkedin.com/in/sonyastattmann/) Where can you follow Laura: Website: https://www.consciousambition.com/ (https://www.consciousambition.com/)  Social: https://www.instagram.com/consciousambition/ (https://www.instagram.com/consciousambition/) (@consciousambition) 🙋‍♀️🙋🏻‍♀️🙋🏼‍♀️🙋🏽‍♀️🙋🏾‍♀️🙋🏿‍♀️‍🙋‍♀️🙋🏻‍♀️🙋🏼‍♀️🙋🏽‍♀️🙋🏾‍♀️🙋🏿‍♀️‍🙋‍♀️🙋🏻‍♀️🙋🏼‍♀️🙋🏽‍♀️🙋🏾‍♀️🙋🏿‍♀️ More Support for Women In Business: You can find free gifts, opportunities to contribute & more athttp://womeninthebusinessarena.com ( http://womeninthebusinessarena.com) Love the podcast? This episode continues to pull on the thread of growth as a removal process. When we set aside everything else, what’s left is ourselves, our values, and our breath. Listening to our bodies and focusing on simply breathing can help us remove the distractions, stress, and overwhelm we feel on a daily basis. Body and movement teacher Cass Ghiorse is here with simple practices for experiencing and reclaiming our breath. Are you ready to imagine a culture of women leaders who are fully embodied and unapologetic about their existence? So are we! Cass Ghiorse is a body integration teacher, breathwork facilitator and the founder of MIDLINE: a methodology that supports people in understanding and connecting to their core Self in essence and expression.  Join us as we discuss:  What it takes for a woman to go against the cultural grain, to be fully in her breath, fully in her body, and fully in her self-worth. The amazing tools we can access if we stop looking outside ourselves for more and embrace our own abundant, internal resources. How to embrace and honor breathing as a tool for integrating our full selves and unlocking our true potential. This week’s episode is a throwback to my other podcast, https://www.sonyastattmann.com/podcast/ (The Feminine Lens). It’s a solo episode, where I shared my thoughts on strengths, weaknesses, and why it’s so important to identify your unique genius. So much of professional development is built on improving skills or tasks that we’re not very good at. This approach reinforces the falsehood that business success is tied to our worthiness. I want to help you reframe this whole concept. When you stop wasting energy on your “flaws” and instead center everything around your innate genius, you can build a business or life that aligns with your authentic self.  Join me as I discuss:  The crucial difference between learned strengths and built-in capacities. Why doing things you’ve learned how to do well can feel productive, while secretly draining your energy and leading to burnout. Unchaining your growth from your worth. How aligning your business with your unique genius will unlock more energy, more growth, and more wealth. This week’s essential growth tip flies in the face of everything you’ve probably heard about owning your own business or stepping up in your career. The key to growing your success isn’t through doing more.  ------> If you want to unlock real, sustainable growth, you need to Do Less.  Laura and I share our experience working with clients and being business owners. We had to face the anxiety we felt around slowing down and learn to trust ourselves.   We’ll help you see that rest and spaciousness are essential to growing a successful business, and that the growth really does come from doing less, not more.  Join us as we discuss:  The fears that drive us to do more & make us feel guilty for slowing down. The joyous growth potential you unlock when you give yourself permission to do less (or even nothing). Welcome back to a new season of Women in the Business Arena! I’m so excited to spend this season exploring a topic that’s extremely personal and powerful to me. As entrepreneurs, we’re taught to always be growing: growing our client base, growing our offers, growing our profits. But for so many of us, “bigger” and “better” are actually opposites! Regular co-host and mental health expert Laura Shook-Guzman brings her insight back to our mic, as we introduce you to the possibilities we access when we let go of excess, dissolve old patterns, and remove what no longer serves us. Join us as we discuss:  The real freedom that comes from removing the patterns that no longer serve us. The pressure the business world puts on women entrepreneurs to keep others happy, and never, ever set down a responsibility. Paying attention to the messages our bodies and minds send when we need to simplify. Why it’s so important to be thoughtful about where we’re directing our energy, our time, and our attention. Welcome back to a new season of Women in the Business Arena! This season is all about growing your business, but maybe not in the way that you think. Traditional, patriarchal business models train us to believe that growth is a matter of adding more: more hustle, more exposure, more offers, more of our precious time and energy. This season, we’re here to show you that real growth - sustainable, fulfilling, transformative growth - isn’t about adding more. It’s about removing the things that don’t work, so you can focus on the things that do. Join us as we show you how to identify what supports your genius, and strip away the structures, habits, and beliefs that weigh you down. Thank you for being you. We are so honored to have you as a listener!

In traditional, patriarchal business structures, there’s a one-size-fits-all prescription for success, and that size is BIG. If you’ve ever wondered whether scalability was truly the only way to have a vibrant, satisfying business, this episode is a must listen.  Join me and a panel of brilliant, bad-ass business women as we bust the myth that you have to go BIG in your business.  How many times have you felt like you have to scale, you have to reach for the million dollars, or you have to have a big business in order to be happy, achieve success and have impact?  We have felt that too, which is why we want to unpack this myth and share with you that one-size does not fit all. You can have an amazing business and still stay small. I like to call this “small but mighty”.   Meet our guests:  Lila Simmons is a healing artist on a mission to liberate women from the patterns that keep them broke, sick, and stuck in toxic relationships. Magician. Witch. Badass Healer. Naomi Calderon has been called many things during her fifteen years in the wellness industry. As a speaker/author/coach, she blends ancient wisdom with modern science to lead women in reclaiming their power and living a juicy life in peri- and menopause. Nicole Lebreux is a community herbalist, radical self-care mentor, and earth-centered business coach that guides women + non-binary folks to find connection, purpose, and freedom through plant medicine, meditation, and entrepreneurship.  Eva Bramwell is a lifestyle and tech entrepreneur helping people stretch into a healthy lifestyle. Health (physical & mental) is the foundation to positive change in the world.  Join us as we discuss:  Why perpetual, neverending growth isn’t sustainable, for ourselves, and for our planet. Shifting our focus from the dollar figures on our balance sheet to the impact we’re having in the world. How we can reject the pressure to scale at all costs, design a work life that centers us as complete human beings, and find a more personal definition of success that complements our lives rather than competes for our energy. As entrepreneurs, we’re told that the fastest way to build wealth is to have multiple streams of income, and diversifying our projects is the only way to achieve security. It always reminds me of the old wives tale “Don’t put all your eggs in one basket”.  But this approach to business demands more effort, saps our energy, and keeps us from truly pursuing our passions. Focus is actually the key to building wealth & achieving the life and business we truly want.  Laura Shook Guzman is back in the co-host chair to help me bust the myth that you should have multiple streams of income to build wealth and achieve business success!  As an accomplished psychotherapist, trauma specialist, and devoted community leader, Laura brings enormous expertise, insight, and energy to our chat. Join us as we discuss:  The illusion of multitasking, and how shifting our focus from one income stream to another robs all your projects of the momentum they need to succeed. Why it’s so important to gather data on where your income comes from, and how your efforts (and passions) really impact your clients. The huge benefits of creating a single business that incorporates your multifaceted passions, in terms of time, energy, income, and impact.  Why, particularly for women business owners, focus is a superpower AND an act of self-care. How to recognize and overcome the fear of going all in on yourself and your vision. 🙋‍♀️🙋🏻‍♀️🙋🏼‍♀️🙋🏽‍♀️🙋🏾‍♀️🙋🏿‍♀️‍🙋‍♀️🙋🏻‍♀️🙋🏼‍♀️🙋🏽‍♀️🙋🏾‍♀️🙋🏿‍♀️‍🙋‍♀️🙋🏻‍♀️🙋🏼‍♀️🙋🏽‍♀️🙋🏾‍♀️🙋🏿‍♀️ More Support for Women In Business: You can find free gifts, opportunities to contribute & more athttp://womeninthebusinessarena.com ( http://womeninthebusinessarena.com) Love the podcast? If you just get your marketing right, you are guaranteed to grow your business & your bank account, right? Wrong! So many business owners are obsessed with more marketing, and they bypass the easy steps to sales that have been there all along.  Generating content, chasing after more leads, constantly fixing your brand...does NOT bring more sales. Learning to do sales, brings more sales. Got it!  In this episode, we are going to help you understand the difference between marketing and sales. We also dive into why marketing is a tempting time-sink, and how you can reframe your understanding to focus on what will work better for your bottom line. I have my co-host Laura on with me this week, and as always we are tackling the internal and external challenges of running a business. Join us as we discuss:  How much time we spend trying to slowly warm up cold leads through marketing, instead of tapping into our warm (and even hot) leads crying out for our help right now.  The importance of sales to a viable business, and how sales calls can actually be fun AND effective. Why it’s scary to be vulnerable as a business owner, and why that genuine connection is so vital for developing lasting client relationships. What, if anything, the work of building a social media presence actually does for your business development.  Where can you follow Laura:  Website: https://www.consciousambition.com/ (https://www.consciousambition.com/)  Social: @ConsciousAmbition (https://www.instagram.com/consciousambition/ (https://www.instagram.com/consciousambition/)) 🙋‍♀️🙋🏻‍♀️🙋🏼‍♀️🙋🏽‍♀️🙋🏾‍♀️🙋🏿‍♀️‍🙋‍♀️🙋🏻‍♀️🙋🏼‍♀️🙋🏽‍♀️🙋🏾‍♀️🙋🏿‍♀️‍🙋‍♀️🙋🏻‍♀️🙋🏼‍♀️🙋🏽‍♀️🙋🏾‍♀️🙋🏿‍♀️ More Support for Women In Business: You can find free gifts, opportunities to contribute & more athttp://womeninthebusinessarena.com ( http://womeninthebusinessarena.com) Love the podcast? Why do so many business owners believe we have to go all out to convince potential clients to work with us? What’s behind the indoctrination that makes sales calls feel like an ethical minefield? This week we are talking about how to show up in a genuine, honest way that eliminates the need for sleazy sales tactics. Laura Shook Guzman is back to help me unpack the myth that we have to convince and manipulate people to buy from us. This is a myth because we attract more people with ethical practices and being transparent in our sales process.   Laura is a thought leader for entrepreneurial mental health, coworking, and self-care. As an accomplished psychotherapist, trauma specialist, and devoted community leader, Laura brings enormous expertise, insight, and energy to this podcast.  Together we are able to talk about the internal and external factors involved in building a successful business.  Join us as we discuss:  Why we feel so squeamish about selling, and how changing our approach can make a huge difference. How to reframe sales and marketing as a positive thing, and set aside the salesperson role we don’t want to play anyway. The ethical marketing principles that can help you be more intentional and selective about who you work with. Grounding your sales and marketing in relationship-building rather than influence or manipulation. This week, our business myth-busting series takes on a difficult but vital topic; does being an anti-racist business require perfection or empty performance? We talk to Dr. Sunshine Kamaloni about the work white business owners must do, internally and externally, to understand their role in white supremacy, and de-center whiteness in their thinking and their business practices. Sunshine Kamaloni, BA Hons, Ph.D., is a writer, speaker, unapologetic idealist, and advocate for a more feminine approach to social justice and equity. Her work aims to disrupt, question, and shift long-held narratives about justice in order to encourage new and more embodied ways of being in the world. Sunshine can help you learn to advocate for the things you’re passionate about in a way that is authentic to you and rooted in your feminine power. Join us as we discuss: The importance of empathy, curiosity, and genuine desire in sustaining anti-racist practices. How to embrace and overcome the fear of failure that keeps white business owners from stepping up. Policies and practices that go beyond checking boxes to build a more equitable and just business. Why anti-racism is a constant work in progress. Consciously or not, too many of us are convinced that our success, and our value to the world, is directly tied to how busy we are. But that can’t be further from the truth.  You are inherently valuable. You are worthy of basic human needs like lunch breaks and a normal amount of sleep. Constantly sacrificing yourself for the sake of “hard work” is just not sustainable. So let’s change that.  Laura is back to talk about how this pernicious myth drives women to wear their burnout as a badge of honor, and feel lazy if they dare to rest.  When we dare to believe we are worthy of rest, we allow ourselves to:  > Recharge as needed  > Enjoy our social lives  > Engage with our home lives  > Work smarter with a fully rested brain For some of us, this is a hard concept to put into practice, it goes against everything we were taught about working! We were taught that pulling all-nighters, skipping meals, and ignoring our loved ones meant that we were working hard. It was seen as admirable even.  But nowadays we know for a fact that that kind of thinking causes more harm than good. We’re human beings! We need to rest, we need to recharge, and we need to be ok with that! You don’t have to sacrifice yourself to do the work you want to do. You can take care of yourself and still be successful. I know it's true because it’s been done before.  Let’s tackle this new way of thinking, one step at a time, with some help from our resident mental health professional Laura Shook Guzman.  Laura Shook Guzman, LMFT, is the CEO/Founder of https://www.consciousambition.com/ (Conscious Ambition), and a thought leader for entrepreneurial mental health, coworking, and self-care.  Laura is on a mission, connecting with people all over the world, from entrepreneurs to corporate professionals, sharing a powerful message about the value of founder mental health, collaborative work, and embodied living. How outdated societal definitions of productivity undervalue the every day contributions of women. How to find support, set healthy boundaries, and reclaim your rest. How to create sustainable systems and structures to separate your confidence from the hustle mentality.  How to free your sense of self-worth from the pressures of the grind. I am so excited about this episode today as we are breaking down the myth that you have to be (and be seen as) an expert to succeed in business. I am honored to have Natalie Miller on as my special guest. She is an incredible mindset coach and woman activist. Together we unpack the concept of "expertise" and reframe it in a way that is more empowering, and honestly a huge relief! So many women are struggling with imposter syndrome because they believe they have to be someone else's definition of an expert before they can show the world their wisdom. Natalie Miller is a boldly feminist coach who helps evolutionary leaders break free from the golden cages they've achieved themselves into: the work, roles, relationships, and everyday lives that look lovely but feel confining. Coaching with Natalie, they learn to trust themselves to walk their talk, live generously, do what they really want, and get as BIG as they know they're meant to be. Get started with your feminist magic lessons on Natalie's weekly podcast, https://www.nataliekmiller.com/mindwitchery (Mind Witchery).  Join us as we discuss:  Whose perception determines who is really an expert How can anyone tell us HOW to do something, and know that it is aligned with our values and goals? How do we navigate the world when the world devalues our experience And how do we show up for ourselves and honor our unique wisdom Where you can find more about Natalie:  Website: http://nataliekmiller.com/ (nataliekmiller.com) Facebook: http://facebook.com/nataliekmiller (facebook.com/nataliekmiller) 🙋‍♀️🙋🏻‍♀️🙋🏼‍♀️🙋🏽‍♀️🙋🏾‍♀️🙋🏿‍♀️‍🙋‍♀️🙋🏻‍♀️🙋🏼‍♀️🙋🏽‍♀️🙋🏾‍♀️🙋🏿‍♀️‍🙋‍♀️🙋🏻‍♀️🙋🏼‍♀️🙋🏽‍♀️🙋🏾‍♀️🙋🏿‍♀️ More Support for Women In Business: You can find free gifts, opportunities to contribute & more at http://womeninthebusinessarena.com (http://womeninthebusinessarena.com) Love the podcast? One of the greatest myths in business is that we should always be running after more money, more clients, more followers, and more validation. We believe that everything we do should be about growth, growth, growth! This myth not only leaves you exhausted, but is actually detrimental to your business growth.   In this episode, I brought on three amazing guests: Cass Ghiorse, Carolyn McCall, and Merrilee McCoy to debunk this myth and discuss how important it is to give yourself permission to breathe. More about our guests: Cass Ghiorse is a body integration teacher, breathwork facilitator and the founder of MIDLINE: a methodology that supports people in understanding and connecting to their core Self in essence and expression.   Carolyn McCall is a non-profit consultant and community program designer. She collaborates with women to gently magnify the value and impact in their programs to create more positive change in the world.  Merrilee McCoy is a creative, learning designer and storyteller. She creates and holds spaces for transformational learning in organizations - shifting workplace cultures to more inclusive spaces where people feel safe to be themselves. Join us as we debunk this myth that we always have to be growing our business. Laura & I have had so many incredible conversations on this show over the past four years. As we transition into a new era of business, life and podcasting, we wanted to pause, say thank you to all of our wonderful listeners and remember why we started this show in the first place.  In this episode we’re chatting about how we started this journey and what we’ve learned from creating 193 episodes of Women in the Business Arena. We talk about the importance of having unfiltered conversations, learning to trust our voices & expertise, and what’s coming up next for us in the world of podcasting. In this episode Laura and I talk through how we can integrate everything 2020 has thrown at us and why that process will help us move into 2021 feeling reinvigorated. We chat about why you don’t necessarily need to feel grateful for everything that’s happened and why it’s so important to slow down over the holidays. We also dive into the role of space for the envisioning process and how you can start to make space to dream up new ideas for next year. I hope you create the time to really rest over the holiday season - you deserve it! <3 Find More Support for Women in Business: > You can find free gifts, opportunities to contribute & more athttps://www.sonyastattmann.com/listen/ ( Women in the Business Arena) http://womeninthebusinessarena.com/ > Love this podcast? The show officially launches later this week on December 8th, but I wanted you to experience this show before everyone else. :D  Episode 1 of The Feminine Lens™ combines the amazing business conversations you’re used to hearing on Women in the Business Arena with a new format - I’m interviewing three of my lovely clients about what they’ve learned operating their business with a feminine approach. Are you connected with your own voice, or are you suppressing it? I've been exploring this topic with my clients lately, and across the board I'm finding every single woman has had her voice suppressed in some way - first by society, and then by herself. In this episode we're exploring the power of reclaiming your innate voice and how it can dramatically reshape your business, your activism and your life.  Find More Support for Women in Business: > You can find free gifts, opportunities to contribute & more athttps://www.sonyastattmann.com/listen/ ( Women in the Business Arena) http://womeninthebusinessarena.com/ > Love this podcast? Our businesses need streamlining and FOCUS. That means I want you to have ONE business, ONE target market, and ONE service. Multi-passionate people, I can hear you saying, "What?!" But I promise this advice will help you, too. Laura (a multi-passionate entrepreneur herself!) and I are breaking down exactly why you need to streamline your business and where to start. This year has been full of emotional tests. On top of normal life and all its usual highs and lows, we are still navigating a global pandemic, upended routines, and changing norms around our relationships.  We wanted to explore triggers on this week’s episode because many of us have been triggered more than usual lately.  Laura does a beautiful job guiding much of this conversation as we define triggers and talk about what they can teach us.  We also share a few recommendations for how to handle triggers when they arise and how to build a compassionate, reflective relationship around them. Last week Laura and I explored some of the things that keep women from stepping into true leadership. We talked about the habit of over-owning, the conditioning of the patriarchy, and the ways we choose to perpetuate these patterns.  This week we want to explore the next step: becoming embodied, intrinsic leaders. How do we let go of over-delivering? How do we step back into ourselves? How do we create a totally new leadership model that encourages women to fully embrace themselves? Traditional models of leadership are not built for women. Women think that they will have to over-deliver and over-own more than they already are. They think leadership will be a drain on their already limited time and energy. I think it is time for a completely new way to look at leadership. We need leaders that are driven from within, who are standing in their power and grounded in themselves. We need to reject broken masculine models, heal our wounds and step into intrinsic leadership. We are tackling this juicy topic in a two-part series and in part one we’re exposing all the things that keep women in reluctant leadership. I am a big believer in following your natural rhythm in both life and business. I know that I have very distinct periods of activity and output versus periods of rest and contemplation. When I fully embrace this push and pull, I am more likely to feel grounded and work in my genius. When I get pulled out of this rhythm, it is a lot harder for me to get anything done or feel good while doing it.  That’s what Laura and I are digging into this week as we discuss our own natural cycles and how we honor them. We also talk about how today’s business environment (and the world) tries to get us to be constantly “on” and how we can resist this pressure. I have made huge strides in the way I think about hiring. I am connecting with the people I really need in my business and getting things off my plate that I don’t want to do - and I am doing it all in a way that feels great.  I didn’t used to feel this way about hiring at all. I thought building a team would be exhausting and time consuming, and I was worried about giving up control over every little aspect of my business. But as I have grown and dreamed up bigger dreams for my business, I have realized that business is ultimately not designed to be done alone. If I want to have the impact I know I am capable of having, I need help. In this episode Laura and I are talking all about hiring, and not just for business but for life in general. We talk about how to find the right people instead of accepting whatever opportunities or people come our way, and how to trust ourselves enough to know the difference. Do you think of yourself as the CEO of your business? I know for me “CEO” used to sound too… big. Or complicated. Or stressful. It sounded like the opposite of what I wanted my business to be. But recently I have been playing with the idea that I can and should see myself as the CEO of my business, and that I get to decide what that means to me. I don’t have to follow the blueprint of CEOs we see in our lives and in the media - I can be a CEO that aligns with her own values and her own strengths and so carves her own path. Laura and I are digging into what it takes to become the CEO that you and your business really need and why we as women need to step into this kind of leadership. I talk about why I always thought that I wanted a small business and what has changed my mind lately, and Laura shares a bit about the sheer creative power we can access when we start to think of ourselves as a true CEO.  Find More Support For Women In Business: > You can find free gifts, opportunities to contribute & more athttps://www.sonyastattmann.com/listen/ ( Women in the Business Arena) http://womeninthebusinessarena.com/ > Love this podcast? Usually our lives are made up of patterns that ebb and flow. As a business owner, things in your business may rise and fall by the month or the quarter. But this year has thrown all of our regular cycles and routines up into the air and sent us scrambling to make new ones. All that scrambling has meant many of us have been “on” for months now, and that we haven’t come up for air or taken the breaks we normally would. Whether you have been feeling stuck and stagnant or you have been running nonstop, it is time to do the opposite. This episode is all about disrupting whatever routine you have developed lately and checking in with what you really need. Laura and I talk about burnout, staycations, and why each of us needs to come up for air right now. We chat about reconnecting with our bigger visions and why this is the fuel we need to keep moving forward and build a new future for us all.
