Shem is currently starring as Caladar in the world premiere of Vanara.Following its workshop performances and concept album, Vanara is being staged at the Hackney Empire. The musical is written by Tony Cucchiara, Gianluca Cucchiara, Andrew James Whelan and Michael Conley. This production is directed by Adam Lenson and Eleesha Drennan, who also serve as dramaturg and choreographer respectively.Later this year, Shem will star as CC in the first ever UK tour of Dreamgirls which kicks off at the Liverpool Empire on 14th December. Having graduated from Arts Ed during the pandemic, Shem made his professional debut alongside Cedric Neal, Rachel Tucker, Rachel John & Ramin Karimloo in the digital production of Songs For A New World by Jason Robert Brown. Lucie is starring in the UK tour of Waitress, reprising her performance from the West End production (Adelphi Theatre). Based on the 2007 movie written by Adrienne Shelly, Waitress has music and lyrics by Sara Bareilles with book by Jessie Nelson. Directed by Diane Paulus with choreography by Lorin Latarro, Waitress has garnered multiple awards and nominations in both America and the UK.Lucie burst onto our screens in the 2009 series of The X Factor (ITV) and has gone on to become one of the most renowned leading ladies in theatreland. Lucie made her West End debut as Cosette in Les Misérables (Queens Theatre). Cedric Neal is originating the role of Goldie Wilson in Back To The Future The Musical.Based on the 1985 film, Back To The Future has a book by Bob Gale, featuring 16 new songs with music and lyrics by Alan Silvestri and Glen Ballard, with additional songs from the film including The Power of Love and Johnny B. He was originally cast to understudy Giles Terera in Clint Dyer and Roy Williams's one-person play, but when Giles became unwell, Michael took over the role and received tremendous acclaim for his performance. Sharon was starring as Eliza in the West End production of Hamilton prior to lockdown. Sharon made her West End debut in Beautiful: The Carole King Musical (Aldwych Theatre). Her other credits include: understudy Diana in Motown The Musical (Shaftesbury Theatre) and Radio 1 in Caroline Or Change (Hampstead Theatre). She joined Hamilton during the first year of its run at the Victoria Palace Theatre as a standby for Eliza/Peggy/Angelica. In 2020 she took over as Eliza full-time. We're kicking off Series 4 with Matt Croke, fresh from his blind audition on The Voice UK! Matt famously played the title role in the West End production of Disney’s Aladdin for over two years at the Prince Edward Theatre and has since headlined concerts all over the world. His other West End credits include understudy Eugene in Grease, understudy Amos Hart & Mary Sunshine in Chicago, understudy Don Lockwood in Singin’ in the Rain and understudy Fiyero in Wicked. He also covered Tony in the UK tour of West Side Story and understudied Eddie in Funny Girl at the Menier Chocolate Factory alongside Sheridan Smith.  He made his leading man debut as Don Lockwood in Singin’ in the Rain at the Salisbury Playhouse. It's the final episode of the series and we're off to Australia to chat to musical theatre star Patrice Tipoki!Patrice understudied Elphaba in the original Australian production of Wicked and went on to take over the role alongside Jemma Rix. She received huge acclaim for her performance as Elphaba, and became well known amongst Wicked fans for her iconic Defying Gravity riff!Patrice made her West End debut in 2016 as Fantine in Les Misérables, having also played the role in Australia, Dubai and Singapore.Her other Australian credits include: Belle in Beauty and the Beast, Nala in The Lion King and understudy Killer Queen & Scaramouche in We Will Rock You. Jenny has played Elphaba more times than any other actress in Wicked history, across seven productions and four countries. Jenny started out as a swing and emergency cover for Elphaba in the Chicago production of Wicked, later taking over as Standby Elphaba for the remainder of the run. She then transferred to the Broadway, Australian and Asian productions as Standby Elphaba. Jenny took over the role full-time to lead Wicked's 2nd US Tour before transferring to the West End in 2014 to lead the London company of Wicked. She then closed the 1st US Tour as the production's final Elphaba. After having her first child, Jenny finally took over as the leading Elphaba on Broadway in August 2016 and completed her acclaimed run in July 2017. Prior to the pandemic, she had returned to the Broadway production of Wicked as Standby Elphaba.
