The primal approach is about doing less, better. This podcast is the epitome of an example of organic self-discovery. Adam shares how it was one foot in front of the other for him. Listening to the big nudges and following the subtle pulls of what felt right for him and of course, moving towards what was both confronting but liberating. The adjective primal describes something that’s essential or basic, like the primal urge to protect yourself and your family from harm. The Latin root of primal is primus, which means first. If your friend talks about his primal self, he means the most basic, important part of who he is. Adam is a living breathing experiment of what it looks and feels like when we strip everything back to the basics. “After lots of reading, research and curiosity, I was lucky enough to stumble across the caveman diet (paleo). Within a few weeks of starting to eat a more nutrient rich wholefood diet, my health dramatically improved. My thyroid was healing. As I started to improve more and more, I realised getting back to basics and focusing on the simple things were really important for me. Kicking my shoes off and getting barefoot has been powerful. Working in the mines gave me a high paying job but I was miserable. Shift work and all-nighters were shitty. It was a scary decision, but I quit my job to travel Australia. I had zero plans but to get back into nature and just immerse myself into some beautiful scenery and see where the road would take me.” – Adam Kavanagh Some of the points we weave in and out of include: How long Adam hid his symptoms of food intolerances, depression, anxiety attacks and everything else that came with hyperthyroidism. The doctors’ suggestions for a *solution* that lead him to shifting to a paleo diet. Adam’s inner process for leaving the mines: his fears, hesitations, conditioning and action plan. His journey to Africa that was a strategy for his wellbeing and ultimately supported his decision to leaves the mines. What it was like to meet the locals, community and be invited into the indigenous community in outback Australia. His step-by-step process to stripping things back to as clean and simple as possible and the improvement in his wellbeing. What it’s like to eat and live off the land using indigenous tracking techniques, a bow and arrow and fire pit cooking. His three-week experience of being on the reality TV show, Naked and Afraid where he was dropped in the middle of no man’s land in a part of Africa with a woman he’d never met, naked and had to survive without assistance for three weeks. How he survived one of his most confronting encounters in the outback including being ripped up by a wild boar and collecting honey from killer bees. What he believes is the most important skill of all for surviving the outback. What he learned from the land and the indigenous friends he made who now feel like family to him. What he’s now doing (taking people to have bush experiences, working with fire making and re-wilding). Psychology, embodiment and toxic relationships... What a subtitle, eh? Let me begin with a little appreciation for your patience. It's been a minute between podcasts as they draw the short straw when I'm elbow deep in projects. I can assure you, this is worth it.  Laura Corcoran is a Holistic Psychologist. Her 10 years of experience in the field range from forensic, mental health, and addictions primarily. She's also an incredibly honest, raw, intelligent, kind woman and a Mum of "two light beams", as she puts it.   This episode is vast in its topic and while it began with the contradictions around some of the principles of psychology, we weave in and out of rabbit holes that most people can relate to including repressed trauma emerging in the *stressful* now of life and toxic bonds in passion relationships.  Including: Trauma that we might not realise is trauma (it's not always how it seems). All of us have in our life experienced a time where what we were feeling was too much. Toxic bonded relationships we think are filled with passion but are bound together by pain. An embodied approach to healing and the basis  The basics that psychology can forget that make all the difference to long term change Sensory experiences, breath and movement for regulation and healing A ton more... This little quote is from one of Laura's influences, Peter Levine, and somewhat encompasses the point Laura unpacks around the dire need for embodied practices within psychology treatments.  "If frightening sensations are not given the time and attention they need to move through the body and resolve or dissolve, the individual will continue to be gripped by fear." - Peter A. Is it worth it?... I have a really rad friend called Benny and he developed an app based on vice optimisation. Basically, you check in the next day after getting on the booze and decided if it was worth it or not. This reflection practice, alone, has proven to support humans in staying in integrity and showing signs of increased happiness by up to 400%. I actually made that up that stat, but who hasn't been 400% more stoked when they've been able to pause and shift direction from an otherwise destructive path? Exactly. I borrowed my mate Benny’s idea and held that question up with a magnifying glass to my life and business. My priority is joy, that's my measuring stick for 'worth it'. Because - joy. Usually, people look at the return and if it's shiny or powerful looking enough, they sacrifice the juiciness and don't question the burnout factor or the destruction of busyness. In fact, there's a virus nestled in the minds of humanity that if it had a voice it would say, "The more time and energy you put in, the more worth it, it is. Never mind the collateral damage to your mental health, wellbeing, relationships and happiness - it's the outcome that counts”. It would also be in Trump's voice…..maybe, I don't know. But you get the idea. How often are we sacrificing happiness, joy, spaciousness, peace, love and orgasms for a cost we will pay 10 x time, at least, sometime in the future? I have been known to be guilty of such things and right now is a great time to pull things apart and examine what’s working, honest and fulfilling and what’s not. Below is a solo-session podcast talking you through the process. My anthem is - self-lead geniuses for the win. You being the genius, me leading you to the water and you drinking form your own genius pond. Have a listen here. There is a step by step on the page as well as a 12-minute breakdown of how to do it. I hope you enjoy looking at the inside of your life; the sacredness and ceremony of energetic  flow itself.  And while we are on the topic of things that are worth it. SuperCharged is almost full. All you fence-sitters, let's jump or you will miss it and it'll be sad and you'll have to turn to Ben and Jerry's half baked ice-cream to grieve the spot you didn't claim as yours. Proces: Stpe 1. Grab a piece of paper and split it into three columns.  Column 1 = list. Column 2 = is it worth it? Column 3 = action. Step 2. Write your list of the following in column 1 List all the things you do in a day, week, month and year. List the 10 relationships you invest the most time in. The three things you spend the most money on. List the 10 thoughts that ruminate through your mind.` The top five food/beverages you ingest. The beliefs you am currently choosing to believe about money, time, energy and making stuff happen! Step 3. Assess what is worth it or not and mark it with a Y or N. Step 4.  Next to the things that are an N, write what action you will take to either reduce the amount of time/energy/money invested or remove it altogether. Enjoy. Whilst a physio in a 'past' life, Dan is an NLP(NeuroLinguisticProgramming) Master Practitioner and Trained in Integral Semantic Facilitation. In short - it involves work on how the language we use, both verbal and non-verbal, has a direct connection to the deepest parts of our sub-conscious, where all of our limitations, beliefs and potential to thrive take place. From Arctic Leadership Wilderness Adventures to running Online Conscious Festivals week one of international lockdown, Dan has a plethora of experience and wisdom in using the very moments that can potentially break us, to stimulate and expand our personal potential. Humans (including men) are relational beings, This episode explores some of the more hands-on work for men, and the masculine, that is often overlooked, underestimated or displaced by cognitive therapy alone. We dive into the role of relating to the world, others, self, source, emotions and everything as fundamental to rebuilding the divine masculine in a healthy way. We cover deep and wide avenues in this chat including: What presence and being in ‘flow’ looks and feels like and appreciating the contrast of numbness as a result of a severed connection to source How a lot of men/people surrogate needs of touch and feel with women when they actually need that vital connection with men also How to restore vitality to mens/all beings lives and how to actively be influenced at every level Exploring the patterns in different types of addictions that coincide from a lack of certain needs being met as a child How many attachment styles and codependency habits develop as a result of trauma Exploring the difference between somatic and cognitive therapy; why we need more than speaking in order to heal Denying our nature of being relational beings and how disconnection has been celebrated in men.. and the damage that ensues as a result of this denial Clarifying true power (influence) and control and how control is a lack of trust and shutting down The piece for women in this work is creating openings for men in our world and how to do that Why for some men, it can be exhausting to remove walls and remain vulnerable, even in the face of vulnerability A message from Michael for men who get frozen in the face of confronting their own walls and vulnerabilities Why letting yourself feel, be influenced and be affected in relationships is empowering for all My favourite bit was - all of that. Mainly when Michael talks about how doing this work is a form of activism for the collective rise of our future.  Please, go and check out Michael's work   Website Sacred Sons Instagram If you have a moment we'd love your words and comments, The Amber Hawken Podcast is available to subscribe to on your chosen platform  - iTunes, Spotify, Libsyn - if it feels good for you, we always love a review of the show. Imagine sourcing your sense of power and love from within, forever. This episode is about how to use intimacy, with self and others, in order to move through pain, discomfort and resistance to create a life of fulfilment and truest expression as a sovereign being.  Sovereignty in its most simple form is being self-governed. You are not swayed or lead by internal or external environments. You are the leader, the creator and the seer of your world and life, period. Not only is woman exceptionally fierce and an embodiment of love, but she is also a dear friend of mine who I've been energetically held by. I know the power of her insights and light and am delighted to share them with you all. From Court, "I'm Courtney McNabb. I'm a women's Empowerment Coach and Feminine Energy Repatterning Trainer touring the world activating women in their fierce feminine power. Between and during global ventures, I work with female spiritual leaders and seekers across the globe. My mission is to activate an unshakable internal world and to align high-vibrational energetic behavioral patterns with sacred purpose. I help women dissolve wounded stories which keep them feeling scarce, stuck, and limited. My home base in Denver, Colorado, where I love creating community and drinking oat milk lattes. I specialize in Sovereignty and the Sacred Feminine, love plant dancing to gangster rap and adventuring the mountains with my boyfriend and baby sister." The bottom line of the interview explores the following (and then some): What does sovereignty mean? How your thoughts, actions, mess are yours..and then what’s beyond that? Moving beyond our personality structure Free will and how to exercise your power of choice Burning the pushing paradigm Holding yourself and landing in your body when we are re writing codes in our consciousness The work is invisible and where our invitation is The rejection of ‘trust’ is the old masculine..and something to embrace Knowing your kingdom to govern it Understanding we have operated from the wounded feminine and what it takes to shift that Grieving adjustments as a man to embracing the feminine energy The key to unlocking the leverage of connection and surrender to source and flow Noticing the wounded marline and feminine within and how do the divine versions interplay Integrating all four parts of our divinity into one Trusting ideas, inspirations and goals as a GUIDE to your life not a ‘pipe dream’ How we are fearing the divine love of the feminine which is the opposing force magnetic to the patriarchy..which is what we are dissolving How to release analysis, paralysis, control and judgment through this work Allowing this all to be simple, releasing control and contraction and order to own your true power Connect with Courtney below: Website Instagram CHALLENGE: Righteo, If you are enjoying the show, The Amber Hawken Podcast is available to subscribe to on your chosen platform  - iTunes, Spotify, Libsyn - and if you enjoyed an episode, please pop a review on the bottom and let us know your biggest takeaway! Fucking rad.  Some of my fav points covered: Discerning what it is to be a human and the connection between infinite and our human sense of “me”. The three aspects of the soul; “Sat Chit Ananda” (Satcitānanda, Satchidānanda, or Sat-cit-ānanda (Sanskrit: सच्चिदानन्द) ? Are you leading or are you being lead? And whatever the answer….is it a conscious decision. This podcast made me hurt from laughing and cracked me open with its truth. It's with the brilliant,  Traver Boehm. Traver is the author of Today I Rise, a TEDx speaker and men’s coach, currently practicing intentional nomadism. He is the founder of the Man Uncivilized Movement redefining the way around the globe experience their masculinity by uniquely blending both the Primal Masculine with the Divine. What I love about this podcast is that I know in my heart of hearts, just by listening people will have some profound shifts and life insights. Traver is the kind of man that makes the feminine feel safe because, within himself, he’s done, and continues to do the integration work of his shadows. But most of all, he’d be too humble to say so. In this episode, we unpack the history of masculine trauma, the light, dark and gold of the shadows and the evolutionary consciousness and importance of our collective healing. We unpack how he came to write his freshly published and genuinely soul-awakening book, The Uncivilised Man. A few of  the many points we cover: How the masculine unconsciously or consciously outsource their emotional healing to the feminine What's in the shadows of the collective masculine What a man can do to make a woman feel safe The history of how men became civilised, suppressed and traumatized and the ripple effect that we are now facing. The devil and savior of social media and its connection to depression and healing How the birth of the Civilised concept evolved from a conversation about Mc Donalds. What a shadow is and how to find the gold in the shadows and or reclaim the power that’s maybe there The red flags that there is trauma to be worked through and how it plays out in a relationship and life How the masculine shadow triggers the feminine shadow and how the feminine can make the moves first to catalyse healing What steps you can take to heal and move towards the truest most conscious version of yourself? Compassion, compassion and more compassion. CHALLENGE: Find someone you can trust and have an honest conversation with, and share what your written reply to this question is (writing for one minute) “if my pain could speak to me today it would say”… Pain has depth, you have to go to a depth to reach pain.  You have to breathe to find it and then breathe to heal it. If you want real life examples of what it takes, looks and feels like to re-parent, heal, transcend the destructive behaviours that kept us safe as children but sacrifice our true selves as adults, this is your podcast.  Kylie McBeath is the Co-Founder of Zura Health, Writer, Emotional Wellness Coach, and a spokesperson for soul. She is committed to uncovering the tools, technology, and ethos to live a life at the bleeding edge of our potential. From inner struggles to moments of complete bliss, Kylie invites us to the depths of our own shadow so that we can integrate, accept, and become the most aligned version of ourselves. Her mission is to create a world that is in harmony with all of life’s expressions by simply being her raw, vulnerable, and human AF self. What I feel you'll vibe the most with in this episode: The road out of sabotage is liberating, but it comes with your whole body having to go through  the motions of fear and "death".   It's a process which we face on a human level as we collectively shift from powerlessness to  reclamation  Examining "death" and our survival strategies that are no longer in alignment with our highest Stepping out of punitive consciousness and cultivating practical practices to support this growth Tools and techniques that you can use right now to help you sustain your new choices and beliefs when it feels scary and impossible Exploring how boundary setting is a process that requires action and consequence not just verbal explanation Unpacking the different ways in which our feeling 'not enough' unless we receive or do X, Y and Z can show up in the masculine (yang) and feminine (yin) imbalance That we are all human, supporting and navigating this life and how powerful it can be to learn the lesson of asking for support, being radically honest with yourself and most of all, how to do this This episode is so personal because well, it's something we all go through as humans and both Kylie  and I are real about this. We both know that expressing out  own journeys as well as sharing  advice, tools and techniques to do  this powerful work yourself are equally as important. Be patient, love.  If you’d like to bloom, you must first be willing to be buried.  Sit in the mud, let it wash over you, let the tears wash you clean, step into the freedom of your pain and let it cleanse you of blame and then, watch your confidence rise up and present itself love.  After overcoming a life full of trauma, physical and sexual abuse, near-death experiences, breaking her back and being widowed, Erika Cramer found herself drowning in pain and sadness trying to numb everything she had been through. These life changing experiences finally lead her to life coaching where she went on a deep path to personal growth and healing. As a confidence coach she is here to guide women to living a life where they seek progress, not perfection. She is taking a bold stand for women owning their throne and reclaiming their confidence. What I loved most about this episode is that Erika wanted to lick my face and I wanted to lick hers. Translation: We vibed, and these kinds of conversations are full of flow, soul, insight and deep transformation for listenings.  We touched on: How patience and perseverance through the rough shit is where confidence is learnt and cultivated.  If you dont choose to connect with others through transparency and honesty, you will feel more alone and helpless, and will stunt your expansion and burry your esteem.  Trust in self and life is built by committing to doing the work, and then acting on it.  Ownership of your experience should not be as simple as a Pinterest quote on a wall;  it's about deep healing, purging and profound insight that comes from all of the above.  Responsibility is not bypassing; you cannot be grateful and use your painful experiences until you've transcended the hurt and victim mentality.  Purpose through hardship and experience is the result of first becoming uncomfortable and then choosing, with an attitude of oneness, to share, teach and support others.  It is deeply delicious and it's going to rock your mind and heart. Listen to the episode here:   You can find more of Erika here: Website and Info on the Sistahood Instagram @thequeenofconfidence Podcast Youtube CHALLENGE I got so excited that I forgot the challenge questions SO, I'm going to make one for you.  Go and read, “Loving What Is”, by Byron Katie. I'm dead serious, it's a wicked and essential read to accelerating self reflection and self awareness. Let's talk mens integrity and mental health. We are all connected to men in some way. We all have (or had) a father, we may have male siblings, friends, or intimate relationships, and we’re all intimately connected and affected by the mental wellbeing and integrity of men past, present and future.  Part of the discussion of working through oppression and repression and patriarchy is how to prevent this from happening and help heal the unconscious within each person (specifically men in this podcast) that’s fuelling this in the first place. It’s being present with how this was created, building unity rather than separation from what we want to change, and support this through voice, action, unconditional love and expression. We need to heal together, not apart. Mike is a men’s coach, author, and wannabe professional stone fruit eater. Mike is the founder of The School of Personal Mastery – a group coaching program for everyday men wanting to get their shit together and achieve greater success and happiness in their career, relationships, and life - without the guilt and hang-ups.  With loving straight talk, Mike passionately makes personal development relatable, accessible, and applicable for everyday men to better help themselves and others. He is also the creator of Beyond The Beers, a show and series of live events for men taking a beer with mates to new depths, and actually talking about the shit that matters. The dynamics of this interview shifts gears rapidly as we cover: What does it mean when you ask a man “Who are you?” and how this question is not a judgement, but an invitation that will move you towards what you may not know you’re missing. Understanding that avoidance or stimulation is a symptom of moving away from what we really need to pay attention to. Avoidance takes us in circles.  Examples of what it means to be in integrity with yourself as a man; thoughts, actions, words and life itself.  The struggles most men find themselves spinning around in and to identify where you are and what the next step may be. Why feeling stuck and going nowhere is the perfect place to begin a deeper inquiry. Specific questions to be able to reflect on when you feel stuck. How to move from head to heart to be able to hear oneself, hold space and transcend emotions, deepen self connection and get to know yourself better. Indoctrination to what it is to “be a man” and how we can ask the right questions to break away what no longer serves a man who wants to live in integrity.  How radical responsibility for emotions and self growth are fundamental to the collective healing. The relationship between masculine and feminine in a relationship and how our partners can reflect back our self deceptions. Okay, more of Mike, Where you can find Mike Website Instagram Handle CHALLENGE Find someone (either Mike, or search for a local  group in person) you resonate with online, and connect and take action on this.  Remember: everyone is walking around pretending to have their shit together - they don’t.Give yourself permission to not have all the answers. There is nothing more delicious than a conversation with someones heart, not their head.  Chris Black, AKA,  Chriddy is an exceptionally open hearted guy, who on top of being an extraordinary singer, songwriter, artist, is one of my clients. He was recently on The Voice, a reality TV music show and he shares about the massive lessons he's gained by being thrust into the spotlight through  this career advance and how that triggered some of the worst anxiety and fears of judgment he's been working with for many years. In this episode, he shares how he overcomes the fear of judgement, the anxiety he experienced on the show and the freedom he found in breathing and meditation practices he uses each day.  What we discuss in this episode: Chris's experience of anxiety past, present and future and the impact of being on television as an artist and musician had on him The biggest lessons he learned about authenticity, vulnerability and expression by being on national television How to overcome negativity, criticism and rejection with a simple turn around thought The simple tools he uses to work through dark times, negative thoughts and the fear of judgment of others His experience with meditation, breath work, mindfulness and coaching and how he uses really simple practices to support a positive mindset and overcome fear on a day to day basis Sharing  what's it's like as an artist to question and own what your "purpose" is and what that means to him and how he wants to contribute to others His experience of a deep euphoria through his practices and how he uses this to achieve his goals The advice he as for artists/anyone standing in the face of  fear and following their dreams A VERY powerful action step for unlocking potential that we can all start doing right now CHALLENGE Each episode has a  challenge for listeners and this episode Chris challenges you to dream up  a big dream and each day in whatever  way you have available  to you right now, take a step or action towards it that scares the shit out of you.   We are always so stocked to read and see your reviews, so if you enjoyed it, please let us know what you think of The Amber Hawken Podcast by rating and reviewing us  on your favourite platform  - iTunes, Spotify, Libsyn.   Hugs, Ambz

Let's talk about Reclaiming Anger! My guest today is truly in the business of challenging the status quo, and in her own words, gets even the most stubborn of us grooving into an ass shaking + move making state of mind. Angel Phoenix Arsenal (previously known as Angela Gallo) is on the podcast today with myself and my biz sidekick Tara Caetano (stay tuned for an upcoming solo interview with her soon), to help us reclaim our anger and open our minds up to our privilege, in a way that activates change for the future. A little more about Angel: Angel Phoenix Arsenal is a Melbourne Doula who has turned her obsession with all things birth, motherhood, sexuality, women's work, social media, justice-for-all, personal growth, passionate professional development and challenging-the-status-quo mindset, into an empire of inspiration. She is gregariously enthusiastic about creating monumental spaces where cis women, non-binary and/or non cisgendered women can come to play in BIG ways. She is also infatuated with all things powerful business strategy and principles, as well as the positively productive use of social media to successful, amplify your brand and business. Her instagram @the_angela_gallo is most certainly a playground of inspiration that you must explore. Angel also trains Doulas. And not just any kind of Doulas, either. Fierce, impassioned, unique, devoted-to-the-cause, resilient, visionary, trailblazer type of Doulas – the kind committed to bringing the humanity, connection and compassion back to a multitude of thresholds Doulas hold space for. Doulas who travel to the brinks of places where all hope is lost, and bring humanity back to the barren.  In this episode we dive into: Demystifying the topics of oppression, self-suppression and the ways we have been taught to feel unsafe in our anger How the "good girl" mentality and not feeling 'oppressed enough' keeps us from participating in conversations that need to be had How anger serves a purpose in activating change, and how not engaging with the oppressive nature of our society is privilege in full action How to discover what you're truly passionate about How to have a healthy relationship with your anger, in a way that amplifies your work and cultivates confidence and conviction, vs. keeping yourself in a counter productive victim mindset THE CHALLENGE: Each episode of The Amber Hawken Podcast comes with a challenge and in this episode Angel challenges you to have the hard conversations: How can you initiate the uncomfortable conversations, both in real life and on social media? How can you ask better of those you know? Where are you letting things slide? How can you back these conversations up with action? Email hello@amberhawken.com and tell us about your results and or experience with this (we may not reply, but always here to listen and keep you energetically accountable). My guest today is a repeat offender (guest) on the podcast. What I love most about this podcast is how much change I know is possible for anyone who listens to it. The conversation style of Jer and I becomes a crazy in depth banter where we take things to a deep level of understanding and embodiment, fast. It's just how we roll which is why I am so damn excited to announce the Ignite Your Life retreat we are running in August together in Byron Bay. Check it out here.  Okay, a little background on Jer, The man himself is a: TEDx speaker trying to make kindness cool. Watch the TEDx talk here. PhD scholar who spent the past five years studying the science of human behaviour, specifically how attitudes affect action and how we can communicate to inspire greater and lasting change. A spoken word poet who rants about love, life, and everything in between. Watch his most recent viral video here. Instagram and beautiful words @longdistancelovebombs A compassion-cultivating, day-making change agent, a kind heart, someone who believes in you. The major take aways you'll get from this episode encompass: why human beings find it so difficult to change and how to get leverage on yourself to ease that grind it's not about massive action (even though sometimes it is), it's about the little things (which we dive into everyday examples of small changes for massive results) what it really takes to turn your investment of time, energy, money and 'hopes' into actual action despite a lifetime of resistance and patterning how to call yourself out on your own bs the most effective to to make change stick what kind of damage self denial, rejection, shame and guilt about not being good enough can do and how to spot when this is playing out in your life even though it's terrifying to face at times lots of jokes, dirty ones, bad ones, sad ones, ones that no one but ourselves will laugh at.... Enjoy!

Dr. Alexandra Solomon is a licensed clinical psychologist at The Family Institute at Northwestern University and a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Psychology at Northwestern University. She's the author of the book Loving Bravely: Twenty Lessons of Self-Discovery to Help You Get the Love You Want and maintains a psychotherapy practice for individual adults and couples, so can you guess what we chat about? Yup, l-o-v-e. If you are a human you will get so much out of this conversation. Warning: we go deep real quick! I’m attracting these BIG conversations about relationships, the masculine and feminine and love lately as it seems many of us are leaning in to love. Alexandra shares her own core wounds with such self compassion and vulnerability, it felt like having an intimate D & M with a friend. She brings up some hugely valuable points about the shame people can carry from moving through infidelity (and when they let that shame stop the relationship transforming in to the 2.0 version), how curiosity within our relationships creates self-awareness, and the side affects of infidelity on our sense of self. Alexandra also shares her personal experience (backed by research) about how to keep the spark alive in her own 20 year marriage which could literally change the way we approach long-term romance. We unpack relationships through these topics and so much more: How to know when to leave a relationship How to come back to yourself Why originally she resisted studying love because she was a feminist (and why that was an illusion) Why reclamation of our inner child/younger selves is the most powerful place to go to heal How active spiritual practices helped her move through the loss of her father The beauty of what can come from trauma Unpacking infidelity Dr Alexandra’s favourite questions to ask clients in therapy The bravest question to ask within a relationship The silver lining of cheating The top 3 ways to get the love you want How to keep intimacy alive in long term committed relationships And so. much. more. You’re gonna want to listen to this one, folks, as it could change the way you approach your intimate relationships forever.   Stand in the truth of your story I love that she describes the space between the stimulus and the response as the place where we can consciously choose how we are going to handle any situation - this is ultimately the power of mindfulness, which allows us to live with more vulnerability and open-heartedness. What a pleasure to converse about bringing science and soul together for successful relationships. Be sure to drop me a comment on Instagram about your biggest takeaway from this episode and what you’re going to explore or apply to your own life for the sake of deepening your relationship to love.

Vulnerability without strength is fucking chaos. Build foundations within, THEN, open your heart. Strength + vulnerability = Open hearted freedom. Today’s guest Traver Boehm is the author of Today I Rise, a TEDx speaker and men’s coach, currently practicing intentional nomadism. He is the founder of the Man Uncivilized Movement, redefining the way men around the globe experience their masculinity, and teaches people to skillfully use the inevitable pain of their lives as fuel for growth and positive change. We cover so much in this episode, from reaching deep into the darkest moment of Traver’s personal life where he found himself losing everything, to Traver’s “The Year to Live Project” that would eventually see him on a 28 day social experiment living in complete darkness and isolation in Guatemala. Traver is as real and honest as they come, and we dive into one my favourite topics, vulnerability, and how combining the Primal Masculine and the Divine is radically shifting the way men experience their masculinity. Because in his words, Men need both, women need men to have both, and the planet needs this more than we do. Traver’s story, strength and his hunger to get deeply acquainted with what it means to go beyond everything you know to be true about life is infectious, and I could have chatted with him all day. If you’ve ever contemplated on what you would do if this was your last year alive and feel the pull to test your own limitations, this episode is for you! Dive in to hear more on: How honesty is the new vulnerably Learning how to be vulnerable in a healthy way, as opposed to a destructive way Learning what it is to die and be free How our pain can be our guru The power of pushing beyond your edge and coming back to life How to be honest in your voice and actions Cultivating energy and driving into the direction of love and creativity Sexual energy and its ability to manifest How to own your manhood and mature masculine How to hold space for your partner and not get triggered How to feel into the feminine sensuality and use that for purpose and enhancing relationships Dying and understanding your insignificance in order to really live Leaking energy by fantasizing, and how using stimulants and other distractions can destroy your life and relationships When you are strong, you can hold space for yourself even when falling apart because you allow yourself too. You are strong in your unconditional love. Be sure to tune in right to the end where I challenge Traver to 90 days of something very very difficult!

Anger is an emotion that often points to another emotion Emily Ann Peterson is a singer-songwriter, creative consultant, and author of Bare Naked Bravery: How to Be Creatively Courageous. In 2013, Emily was diagnosed with a degenerative neurological hand tremor, which forever altered her two-decade livelihood as a cellist/cello teacher. Refusing to lose her life's love of expression, she knew she’d have to be brave, and man, is she that! In an act of neurological defiance, she expanded into wider mediums and broke through her creative glass ceiling, opening the door to limitless possibilities. I just had to have this woman back on the show (check out this throwback episode with her a year ago) because we always go deeeep in to our personal stories of navigating life's curveballs with humour and honesty.. the only way you get it here with me!   Emily offers so much transparency and I adore the work she is bringing to the world. In this conversation, we cover this and more: How to be brave A new way to look at 'readiness' in terms of launching a creative project Her most powerful method of self healing Unpacking what we can do with our anger The ingredients of bravery What to do when we're faced with the feeling of "this is the end of the world" How to identify emotions in your body Why it's important to inspire the emotions we desire to feel What advice she would give to her 15 year old self How we express our truth through mediums other than our voice   If you don't understand your desires, you're screwing yourself over Emily oozes a humble warmth AND a powerful fierceness that fuels her drive to be a catalyst for bravery. I've loved this conversation because we don't cover what's IN her book but the brilliance of the behind-the-scenes of what needed to happen for her book to come together. It's not ever about the body In this special edition podcast, the roles have reversed and I am the interviewee. Kylie Mcbeath, co-founder of the holistic digital program Zura Health holds the mic this time as we role-reverse - you will recognise the wisdom of her voice from my most recent podcast episode (#23), Empowering Your Needs + Breaking Through. I share loads about my experience in the health and fitness worlds that ultimately led me to the work I do today, and how something like emotional eating goes deeper than our relationship to food. Time and again I’ve seen the one thing that can crush an otherwise empowered and successful person: lack of emotional awareness, mental empowerment, and overall self-connection. I can’t stress these factors enough. If you’re not seeing the results that you want from your self love affirmations, endless diets, and strict eating and exercise regimes, this message is for you. By results, I don’t just mean physical, I’m talking about achieving a deep sense of emotional fulfilment and love within. If you want to look in the mirror and feel gratitude and freedom, you must learn how to work with your mind and emotions so you are no longer their servant. We discuss (to name a few): The core cause behind our unhealthy relationship to food and our body A question to ask yourself that may radically change your life An easy-peasy meditation practice The core human needs Disconnection = not living an alignment Tools and action steps to cultivate deeper connection to self Identifying our core values Emotional resiliency and why it's so effing important Understanding emotional data Discipline, self connection, and emotional resilience are REQUIRED LIFE SKILLS if you want to let go of control, radiate with confidence, and find the happiness that you deserve. Let me know over on insta (@amber_hawken) what this conversation brought up in you and drop a comment about your biggest takeaway. Today’s guest, Connor Beaton, is the Founder of ManTalks, an international organization focused on men’s personal and professional development. He is a lifestyle entrepreneur and keynote speaker. A former Market Manager for Apple, Connor learned about business from some of the best in business. He hosts The ManTalks Podcast, which is a top podcast focused on building better relationships, wealth, businesses and mindset, and he has spoken on stages around North America with people like Gary Vaynerchuk, Lewis Howes and Danielle LaPorte.   Today we dive into a much needed discussion about masculine and feminine energies and how embracing both leads us to a fulfilling and successful life.   Have you ever wondered why strong women seem to “drive” men away? Or why men are “afraid” to feel their emotions? Have you ever questioned whether you might be stereotypically defying the odds of what it is to be a man or a woman? Have you ever felt intimacy in relationships disconnect even though you still “love” your partner? What about wondering how to understand our anger, channel emotions, hold space as a man, open up as a woman and then flip this all upside down and inside out with each gender?   If so, then this is your interview.   Connor Beaton was a blast of a human to interview. He is raw, real, direct, poignant and experienced in all of the above. AND we also get a sneaky insight into the message behind not being able to, ah-hem, get it up…   Here’s why I know you will love this interview. We discuss: Understanding masculine and feminine energies are not male and female dependant - we have both and need to embrace balance Paradoxically understanding the need to create polarity within relationships to keep the attraction alive Understanding how as a “powerful woman (or natural dominating feminine energy)” you can destroy intimacy without understanding how to come back into your feminine How the masculine can overcome performance issues Practical tools to step into the masculine for the feminine and vice versa Getting in touch with your masculine in a healthy way as a female and being in your power without losing your grace Getting in touch with your feminine in a healthy way as a male and reaching your potential and strength How to "hold space" as a masculine What we can do as a dominant masculine or naturally dominant feminine to connect with people and partners in relationships The classic conflicts between the two energies Understanding want and need, neediness and being needed and what is healthy and attractive Discovering purpose and fire inside of yourself, not outside of yourself   This conversation was on fire. I loved it and Connor really provides such valuable tools and techniques so I know you will want more from him and ManTalks. Dr Jeremy Goldberg triggered tears to stream down my face in today's interview. This is somewhat uncommon for me and somehow the kindness seeping out of every cell of this human just GOT ME! The science of compassion is something Jeremy has professionally and personally studied for over a decade. From researching and working on saving the Great Barrier Reef and the world's oceans to leaving little bombs of handwritten love across the globe, the love bursting from this man is pretty freaking extraordinary. He has cultivated a strong base of over 35,000 people who are inspired by his writings on the daily and he has spoken his part about kindness on the stage of TEDx Townsville. A spoken word poet, mentor, speaker and soon to be published author,  Jeremy and I (in short) dive into: What we can ask ourselves if giving kindness to a stranger makes us feel uncomfortable. The ripple effect of compassion and how it can flow on for years to come. Starting right here, right now with your idea and letting it guide you. Noticing that at our core, we are good beings and it’s just that we get in our own way. How to have big bold dreams and simultaneously let go of the outcomes. How the angst of a punk rocker was fuelled into a mission of spreading kindness. What to do with the "imposter" in our mind that says our dreams are just not good enough. The Get Shit Done restructure that needs to occur in our internal and external worlds to make lasting change. Jeremy's biggest insecurities and how following his inspiration helped transcend his self-limits.     I think our greatest lesson here is understanding that we are innately designed to love, be loved, give, receive and transform. That was my take away, and I would love to know yours - comment below and let us know! And I will leave you with this… Fuck This. We can do better. "We", as in, everyone. So, let's ask ourselves: What would the world be like if we were all just a little bit kinder? Dr Jeremy Goldberg   You can find Jeremy here: Website Instagram Facebook

Did you know that nerve impulses sent from the brain move at a speed of 274 km/h!!!!!   Our guest today, Morten Bunkholt is Norwegian Chiropractor who is inspired by the capabilities of wellness and superhuman potential. He helps us understand the natural healing philosophy of our bodies.    And our bodies are self-regulating systems and if we remove interference, it is capable of returning to peak condition - AKA homeostasis. Now there is a lot of everyday interference so it's important to have awareness around what that might be to maximise supporting the bodies natural wellbeing.   When it comes to chiropractic Morten is meticulous in attention to detail. He stands by the philosophy of sticking to a system that works and we dive into why talent isn't 10000% required for a result - you don't have the be the "best" when you have trusted and results-based method.    We dive into:   How the brain and nervous system are connected and what role chiropractic can have in removing interference.  The importance of knowing when not to adjust.  What can cause interference in the spine and how to treat it.  The three T's: trauma,  toxins and thoughts.  How the brain and nervous system interacts with our organs and the role an adjustment can assist with our bodies normal regulation and health.  Understanding that pain is the very last resort from our body trying to communicate interference with homeostasis.  Some chiropractic plans can overstimulate the nervous systems and how to become aware of that.  Getting in touch with your body for the sake of prevention rather than reaction.  The basic chiropractic philosophy and its alignment with life.  Mortens desired superpower!!!! I'm inspired by such an aligned practitioner. I am all for intuition, feeling, sensory, trust and flow. But when it comes to our bodies, the power in reconnecting and placing ourselves in the best situation to heal again can be maximised by using systems that work. In the case of our systems, systems matter.  I would love to hear from you - if any, what was the one thing you learnt about yourself and or wellbeing that you didnt know before - let us know below! The guest on today's show, Simone Griffiths, who is the co-founder of Who Gives A Crap toilet paper, has been abundantly successful in raising over $1000,000 in donations and building toilets to those in need and in turn, contributing to the reduction of the (currently) estimated, 800 children who die a day from unsanitary toilet conditions in disadvantaged countries. It all began with Simone sitting on a toilet for 50 hours straight, to raise the cash for his (successful) Kickstarter campaign which funded the first production of toilet paper.  Simon and his team have massive hearts, using recycled materials for their paper, donating 50% of all profits which funnel into said donations and considers the economy, our environment and it's people every step along the production and distribution of their product.  Simon was recognised in The Age’s Melbourne magazine as one of the top 100 influential people, and in 2013 he was shortlisted as Young Entrepreneur of the Year.  What fascinates me most about this world is the variety of ways in which people discover themselves and what it is that makes them feel alive. Some of us seem to understand ourselves from a really young age, and some of us need to explore 13 different jobs, 50 countries and 3 marriages before we get it. Simon is in my opinion, someone who falls into that first category - lucky bastard. In a nutshell we discuss: How to return to goals and find your ambition again after massive (perceived) failures What is Who Gives A Crap toilet paper, and how does the business work? The concept of consumer-driven philanthropy and how it is potentially a more effective way to make an impact How the Who Gives a Crap toilet paper brand was born The best advice for ensuring you’re not going to fumble over your own ego What it means to be a social entrepreneur and the impact it has at a personal level, as well as professional The process of creating a video that ultimately resulted in Simon sitting on a toilet for 50 hours straight to raise funds via a Kickstarter campaign How standing out, creating memorable experiences and interrupting the industry doesn’t happen overnight, but takes patience, persistence and planning   Why it’s the attention to the often overlooked details in business every single step of the way that creates momentum and customer commitment How surprise, delight and weaving your persona into your business make for excellent marketing After our interview, I went through my notes and smiled as I saw a similar pattern in Simon as I do in so many of the people I get on the show. At our core, we know who we are and what it is we are capable of, even if we don’t know it consciously. It just seems that some of us are better are having a go, being different and following that contribution pull that seems to be ingrained into our human hard wiring, and we eventually end up with our heads and our hearts aligned, resulting in  the world becoming a better place. Enjoy the episode and be sure to listen right through to the end where Simon shares his ultimate Dad advice that trumps most inspirational books on the shelves. Also published at amberhawken.com We would love to hear from you over on the blog, so make sure you go and check it out. Most of all, time to switch toilet paper companies. Jordan Harbinger is the co-founder of the prodigious show, The Art of Charm, where he squeezes the wisdom from leading entrepreneurs, celebrities, authors, and experts on psychology, human performance, behavioral economics, and success. According to Forbes, Jordan is one of the 50 best relationship-builders in the world, and after listening to this interview, you’ll legitimately understand why. Jordan is an exceptionally interesting and intelligent character, having shared his ideas worldwide, including with Silicon Valley, the U.S. Military, the Department of State, and Department of Defence. In a nutshell, we discuss: The development of your fulfillment through diversity, as opposed to ‘following your purpose’. The difference between using and abusing skills in human behaviour and the long term game of psychology and behavioural intelligence. Understanding manipulation vs. contribution when you are in a position of power. How boredom can lead you to very interesting and successful places if you go with your interests. How to fit in five languages, a law degree and a podcast that has produced conversations with some of the world’s most exceptional people and had millions of downloads. How to separate from fear in a healthy way and make the right decision (both in life threatening situations and your normal everyday circumstances). Why he recommends diversity via experience and experimentation. The danger of empathic people not being able to tap into their intuition as well. Again, why following your passion is terrible advice (with justifiable reasoning). How to break down, understand and most of all, cultivate your intuition and it’s signals. … And this is just the beginning! For a person who has hundreds of hours of experience interviewing exceptional people, Jordan remains down to earth, humble and kind, which is rare. What I loved the most was Jordan’s wrap up around what drives his work, which is essentially about leaving the world and people better than when you found them. Jordan’s wide and diverse life experience and our shared love of human psychology and how things work, made this conversation feel like I was having lunch with an old friend. I had a giggle at it listening back, feeling like a curious child leaning into a conversation about life, coming to understand what the world looks like through his eyes. I had the honour of interviewing Jordan in person at the We Are Podcast event last November and he closed the event just after this recording and shared how he escaped his second abduction. If you’re going to dig deeper into any interviewee I have on the show, I highly recommend you choose Jordan. It would be impossible to listen to his show and not become a better and more self aware person. Have you ever wondered what it might feel like to 100% be yourself, no apologies needed? Sure - fear and self-doubt might be present, but you are doing you, anyway. Well - today's guest lives life in this way; raw, open, expansive, unfiltered and slightly explicit. Just the way I like my guests.  This is why you will love this episode with Thomas In Action (Thom Gardner): Thoms story does not start off with him being deeply at peace with himself - quite the opposite - so we discuss how we came to this free space in life and self. We cover: Thoms entire journey from childhood until adulthood and what that looked and felt like for a man realising he was gay when he was only 9 years old.  How to be gay and be okay with it.  Addressing fear, judgment and how that can run your entire life unconsciously. The parallel of business success and self-embracement.  Owning your self-made limits and taking responsibility Seeing that your greatest fear of judgment is a result of your own blindness and how to shift it to feel free to be yourself. The number one key to confidence and fulfilment Thom is an audacious young man with speed, spark and charisma. His YouTube success is up in the millions of views and I hands-down believe it is due to his connection and action according to his own inner compass. Even if that risks complete condemnation from some of the more conservative people in our world. This episode inspired me to own myself at a whole new level, and really, that's the most important thing in life in my opinion and experience. Once you can do that everyday life, discovering purpose, business growth, relationship s- the look, smell and feel a hellovalot more real and deeply fulfilling.   I would love you to comment below on what Thomas' story gave YOU permission to own within yourself. Get Better at Pleasure Rosie Rees blew my mind in more ways than one and she is going to blow yours. Ladies this is predominately for your education, however, guys - please - listen. There are a lot of powerful takeaways as a man (or partner) that can help you understand what women need to trust you,  and for you to help them hit that pleasure spot. It's most probably (definitely) not what you think or what you read in the nudie magazines or watch on Redtube! Oh - did I just say that? You're about to learn: How to access more pleasure in your life both sexually and on all other levels. The power of stripping back everything and forming a deep sense of respect for our bodies which can lead us to many breakthroughs in other areas of our life. How unconscious sex and the overuse of toys can desensitise us - and ruin any chance of pleasure and climax. The power of using your sexual energy for more than just an orgasm. Moving through taboo of self-pleasure, sex and nudity. Orgasms. How to have orgasms (even if you believe you can't), more of them and different kinds! What "Sexual Magic" is and how to use it to manifest epic things in your life. The most important question a man can ask a woman and vice versa (or partner to partner for all my same-sex epic beings out there). Toys, eggs, pleasure wands and breathing for better climax and connection on an intimate level with yourself. How noise is going to amplify, well, everything. Expression - how it's vital for deeper mind-blowing love-making. Internet dating - intention is everything! And so much more. Seriously - I don't think you need convincing, just go and listen - now! Permission gives you pleasure! Today I have one of the world's best portrait photographers, Jason Malouin and we dive deep into effective communication and impacting the world through the inception of visual connection.  I feel so freaking blessed when it comes to podcasting, because I become profoundly more wise - via the wisdom of my guests - after every conversation.  Today some of the mind blowing points include:  Why all connections are not equal and how the level of connection really matters. How to ask the right questions to help the people you are trying to help. How and why assumptions suck. What you think matters is more than likely not what anyone else finds valuable. Divine moments are captured via the intuitive ‘moments before’. How to communicate effectively. How a few quick mini wins can take you through the armour of trying to get it all perfect. Understanding that how we think we are portraying ourselves is not how we are actually seen. It’s the micro details in our expression that hold power. You cannot demand genuine or authentic connection - it must be unveiled through vulnerability. What makes a moment ‘photo worthy’. Just because you cannot see your greatness, is never a true indication of its non-existence. Being you requires us to remove stuff, not add on. How to get us to our core to reveal ourselves to the world. Communication is only effective if you begin with where the level of the listener is at. How the key is always, to give yourself permission. At the end of the day, it's not about the photos, it's about what we are communicating. Profound portrait photography is about being able to transmit ideas effectively, efficiently and cleanly and through an excellent image, communicating the subjects message to the world. Ronsley Vaz is not only one of my dearest friends, he is the creative director, owner and head daydreamer at Amplify - the biggest audio agency on the planet.  His heart is bigger than Mt Everest and his humour is sharper than a tac.   This is just the start (there is a lot) of what we cover in today's episode:   What is 'quality connection', and how do we get it. How to embrace disruption in the most powerful way, as opposed to being afraid of it. The fruition of unconscious, conscious and subconscious success.  Sex trafficking - what we can do to prevent it right away.  Why difficult conversations are the best conversations to have.  How quantity reduces quality.  How to always be “better” today than you were yesterday. How you might already be having great conversations that could connect with your audience/friends/lovers/your.own diary, that could have a positive lifetime impact.  Discover if you are escaping your life in an unhealthy way without even knowing it. Why deep conversations are the only conversations we should have. How your environment dictates your success. How the boxes and divisions of society that we adopt, create fear within ourselves and how it’s destroying us Challenge every single one of your beliefs and embrace growth. How to “Just Be”. Unfucking yourself.  Top three points on amplification of messages and conversations that are important to you.  How to ask questions that lead to an awareness that subsequently, change your life forever.   P.S I talk way too much when I interview my best mates - my bad. The upside - I have amazing friends <3     Um, freaking hell. So much goodness. Warning - this episode is deeeeeeeeep.  In a really good way, like the Santa stocking being deep - kind of way.    I am at a point in my life where I have very little patience for small talk. I used to feel I was always like that, however, I am finding that more now than ever, I am unable to be in a conversation that is surface level. If you resonate with that - then this podcast is going to rock you, in a - Chris Rock/good kinda way.    A few of the points we covered (there were so many) and the reason that this interview will rock your socks:   Breaking down how to go beyond our everyday fears Looking at what our unfoldment is mean to look like on a spiritual level Breaking dogma and rules around religion and spirituality  Un-developing ourselves to get to the core of what life is about Understanding that there is no such thing as worthlessness or deservedness  Learning to explore, have fun and evolve with life  Seeing yourself and removing all other illusions   IKYA is the name that this spiritual mentor goes by. I love his direct and practical approach to spiritual unfoldment. He shows the way for people of today who want to cut through the fog of collective beliefs and become awake in a world asleep. IKYA's teachings can be life-changing and will help you find true direction and purpose. His message is often surprising and brings you thought-provoking ideas that can crush your blockages and open your mind and consciousness.   Please hit us both back with a comment below on your biggest take away!   For more information and to check out the upcoming event - see the links below!   Facebook  A New Paradigm Seminar  IKYA Website  Don't miss out - subscribe to Just Be You for updates on iTunes and Libsyn, yo! Why James and this episode will blow your mind! We discuss: That 'life purpose' and happiness are not meant to be independent The power of making a decision and sticking to even the most challenging goals When you focus on a purpose bigger than yourself - anything is possible Defeating cancer and overcoming drug addictions Overcoming bulimia and related behaviours by understanding the cause How silence can amplify love, kindness, and change in our world  Learning that if you want people to listen, don't push; show them, be patience, give love and compassion Facing demons and working through them in solitary James travels the globe giving free talks to educate about the option of becoming a vegan and helping people understand the suffering of animals to make food, clothing, and entertainment for human beings. He asks himself the confronting question: "If we don't need to kill and eat animals to be healthy, what are we doing this for?" At 17 he was diagnosed with leukemia and told he had six weeks to live. Fast forward to beating that disease, getting hooked on a lot of drugs and letting go of them, overcoming Bulimia and being a dedicated personal trainer for almost a decade, James met a man through his work that changed his perspective on eating animals forever. James brings patience, unconditional acceptance and a down to earth honesty that is very rare, to everything he speaks about. Even if you are completely new to the concept of veganism, have heard amazing or even challenging things against it this interview is worth the listen. I am certain that simply by hearing his journey, and the roller coaster that is his life, it would be impossible to walk away from listening to this episode not be touched in some way, for the rest of your life.  You can find out more about James here I would to know, would you consider stopping eating animal products after listening to this episode? Why, why not? Love Ambz

In 2013 Franziska was awarded the Young Entrepreneur of the Year award recognising her innovation, creativity and philanthropic involvement. A true visionary, no challenge seems to be too big for Franziska. She is known for her rebellious nature and challenging the norm. She has this rare combination of being both creative and strategic, which makes her a powerful thought leader in the business world. If you are someone who despises the wasting of potential, you will love this episode. I titled this quite literally, because 'Ziska' (her nickname to me, because she hates Fran, so we went with Ziska), is the epitome of potential extrapolation from a human being. She is the author of bestselling book PERCEPTION - Take charge of how others view your brand, become irresistible and make a bigger impact and Bananas About Marketing – How to Attract a Whole Bunch of Clients.  She is regularly featured across the media including INC, Forbes, Business Insider, Virgin Inflight Entertainment, The Sydney Morning Herald, The Age, SmartCompany, Dynamic Business Magazine, BRW, 2UE, Channel 9. As a Swiss born Aussie and with an ability to speak five languages, she has been known to make up a few words, which keeps everyone amused and engaged. She has an amazing ability to forecast and execute strategies with precision results like a Swiss clock.   She is funny as hell and not afraid to get incredibly open in this episode. My fav takeaways:  The only two things we ever need to be happy in life That you are not your culture/family/country/religion/gender Limit? What is a limit? (How to be limitless in real life, not just on an IG quote) Perspective - how it can change your life in an instant What really matters in our lives, and how to take action even when you are terrified or have no idea Why looking after our planet is something we all need to think about right now A billion other personal and hilarious stories about giving, virginity and tattoos.  Thank you Franziska! Are you ready to access a state of such self-awareness and authenticity that joy and inspiration permeate every aspect of life so fear cannot stop you? What’s Stopping us from being Unfu*kwithable? What if I told you that the root of all-evil was not money? It’s also not men or religion. It’s not even tomatoes.  The greatest affliction that plagues this planet isn’t pollution or war. No. It’s inauthenticity.  It’s the stories that run through our minds. We chase our tails trying to be someone we aren’t every single day, trying to prove something to the world.  A problem is that ‘authenticity’ has become a buzzword and is often ignorantly expressed as ‘being different’ or ‘standing out’. This preposterous social construct fuels the need to be seen, accepted and important. It’s what empowers shame over imperfections, empowers guilt, blame and regret about the past, and empowers stress and anxiety about the future and the universal fear of not being good enough. It's the birthplace of deep insecurities and self doubt, depression, anxiety and hard cases of amour we wear around like badges of honour, keeping all of our imperfect parts perfectly hidden from the world. Keeping us on edge, terrified we will be 'found out' at any moment.   Would you like to learn how to finally end this once and for all? How would it feel to release you from this internal war?  What would you do with all that energy?  What would your relationships be like?  What would you do with all that time that's currently taken up with worry, meaningless stimulating behaviour and time editing instagram photos? Whether you are a seasoned personal development addict or you prefer not to venture into 'self help-woo-woo-crap', this audio will provoke you to change your thinking in a very swift and inspiring manner and ultimately challenge you to access your highest level of fulfillment. Uncensored, this audiobook will hit the nail on the head with powerful insights into what it is that is really holding you back as well as guide you with proven strategies to overcome inner conflict and sabotage of your success and happiness. It provides straight-forward steps for forging an empowered mindset and balancing emotions while diving deeper than Darth Vader did to the dark side, into practical spiritual philosophy.  In this short burst of deep wisdom and It will trigger a force deep inside of you that’s here for something spectacular. If you have no idea who you are, how can you ever expect to know what it is you want?  And if you don't know what we want, it's no wonder we have a universe of people who are deep down, deeply unsatisfied, even if at the surface, every feel 'okay'.   To be able to break free of our own illusions, we have to realise that we’ve wrapped ourselves into a cocoon of them in attempts to feel safe. This is exactly what this audiobook will do.

Did you know.... That a sex trafficking victim is often raped 10-20 times a day, so in a period of 6 months that’s anywhere between 1,800 to 3,600 times? What about the fact that at around 20 years of age, after a lifetime of her body being purchased at the price of a cup of coffee, she is simply released, for she is no longer fresh and thus deemed useless in the trafficking industry? How about the fact that whenever a girl is rescued from sex trafficking, that another is plucked from for her life to replace her, and that rescuing while a miracle in itself, doesn’t end the problem? Out of all the 100’s of organisations in Cambodia, none of them at this point, focus on prevention alone in a systemised, focused way. Except, Free To Shine. Free To Shine is a child protection organisation preventing children from being trafficked into the commercial sex industry, in Cambodia.  The hero behind Free To Shine Nicky Mih is such a powerful, humble and inspiration being. She teaches us that you do not need to know how to do something great, to do something great. You get a big enough reason and your how's work out.  My favourite parts of today - all of it. Wisdom for a 100 years of life, show up in this interview.  Pulling strength from women who have been trafficked How perspective fulfils us How to find inspiration each day Following through with your goals Gut wrenching awareness, creating momentum The meaning of life..... Loads and loads and loads more Nicky and Free To Shine info is all right here. And, don't bloody forget to just be you. Love, Ambz P.S If you feel that you resonate with the messages streaming from my talks, you might like to check out my online Be Unfu*kwithable program here.

The moment I want introduced this woman, I knew I needed her on the show. There are at least three one lines in this interview that hit me right in the soul.   One being:  “What if we didn’t have to break down to break through?”.    Tessa is the kind of being that makes you want to throw your fears to the side and go after your dreams. Why? Because she is a woman who has dragged her heart, mind and soul, through the trenches of transformation, coming out the other side to walk her talk consistently. This is rare.   This is the kind of interview that has the potential to help awaken something much deeper and more fulfilling inside of anyone who listens.   This interview is a great insight into “spirituality” in todays world and how it is something quite common, practical and easily applied into our lives if we see it as a way of being, rather than a way of “appearing” to the rest of the world.   After years of experience in youth work, asylum seeking, refugee support work and pilot parenting, Tessa burnt out in what can be a seemingly be a unsupportive system for workers in these government areas. Following this time, Tessa opens her life to more spiritual based work, adding to her vast expertise.    Some of the points topics we explore include: What the HECK is light working, I ask almost straight off the bat.  Duality and universal laws: what is it and how can it increases happiness and flow day to day  Understanding what stepping into the unknown looks like in real life  Embracing trust in times of uncertainty Transcendence - shifting our understanding of what is possible in this world Creating your own reality - the struggle many have with abundance and how we re-wire ourselves for what we actually want Attachment, safety, trust and love conditioning during childhood and how it plays a massive role in our self worth    I would love you to comment below, with what came up for you during this interview. Did you agree/disagree with anything we discussed? What was your favourite part?   Rock on, and please, head to iTunes and subscribe to our channel so you can stay updated.    Love Ambz

Emily Anne Peterson is the kind of woman that people make movies about.  Emily is a bravery expert.  Her life is jaw dropping. Well, more correctly, the way she chooses to live it is. The way she has dealt with one of the most confronting experiences that one could face; having (what seemed like her entire purpose) stripped from her. The woman also did a TEDx talk. Another reason why she is my hero. She was once a full-time cellist and cello teacher. But in December of 2013, she was diagnosed with a degenerative, hereditary, neurological tremor in her right hand, her bow hand. She called it her other biological clock. As you can imagine, it was shattering news for her. Of course, she handled it like a boss.  And this is exactly why you need to listen to this episode. There comes a time in all our lives where we are faced with a make or break moment. We learn so much from how Emily managed not only an eating disorder, but a tremor that brought her dreams (at the time) to a halt.    My fav take aways in this episode: - What to do when life falls apart - Where to go from rock bottom and the slow but simple journey out of darkness - It's okay to not be okay, for more than a few days, even months - How bravery and courage aren't how to sound - How to recovery and still work through the impulses and battle of an eating dis-order - How to be brave and courageous, no matter what - How to turn your devastations into life transformation - How our life purpose is fluid - That break downs are breakthroughs, and how to do the work (yes we must work) to get through - What vulnerability, bravery and courage have to do with being an artist (of your life) and that there is no other way   So yeah, it was amazing. Enjoy and please, connect with Em and let us know what you thought my rating this episode and leaving us a comment about how it helped you! Love love love,  Ambz Emily has an incredible Podcast, Bare Naked Bravery, and we totally shared wine and mimosa's and backed up interviewing each other. Spirituality for Dummies   In this episode I interviewed someone close to my heart and my life, my very first and only mediation teacher (besides myself course).   Meditation Medi-what? Meditation.   It saved, my arse, every single time I thought I was going to lose my shit…   It’s like a condom, kind of just sits in your back pocket seemingly useless, until you need it and then BAM! It’s a fucking life saver.   When my mum passed When I broke up with my boyfriend of three years When I got a $3000 unexpected bill at Christmas When I looked in the mirror and realised my skin was breaking out from cortisol overdose When I need to sleep When I lost belief in myself.   Meditation is always there/here.   I drilled Kurt like a sergeant, and these are just some of the big bombs we drop in this episode:   What is meditation? What is energy? What are chakras? What is the ego? What is our soul? Where did we come from? What’s the point of life? What can you do right now to start to connect more closely with yourself and as a result, become unfuckwithable?   I loved this interview because it actually makes me quite nervous. While I am deeply connected to a ‘spiritual’ part of myself, I don’t go blabbing about it much.   I feel that talking about how ‘spiritual’ you are, is similar with trying to tell yourself that YOU are ‘authentic’; when you do it, it dictates the opposite of it being true. That part of my life is just there, it’s me, and it’s how I think, feel and exist.     Love Ambz,   P.S. : Be Unfuckwithable - My Online Course   “I'm not far into the course, but I'm mindful that I'm doing this course for myself because I deserve to treat myself well and the little change I've already seen is more positive and motivating rhetoric going on in my head, rather than the negative 'I can't do this' story. Feels good and feels lighter?”   It’s changing things inside people and I love the weekly coaching sessions inside our forum – have you checked it out yet?   You can find out more here.

We are wired for love Umm, so. This was amazing.  My favourite interview - ever. I learnt bucket loads and it was very much a 'shoot the shit' kind of chat with this incredibly wise man, Mark Groves, about love. Mark Groves is an expert in helping people navigate the emotional matrix to create deeper, more meaningful connections in life. Be is professionally, with yourself or with a partner.  A couple of the many points Mark delves into: Three levels of love, what they all look like and how to arrive there Co-dependant "I don't need one" (guarded) Independent and fulfilling How to break defence/criticise cycles in relationships do you do not end up in a "shit storm" Breaking toxic relationship patterns What makes a polyamorous relationship work/not work Mirroring each others childhood wounds and how we blame incorrectly How to cultivate lasting, fulfilling monogamous relationships Love and partnerships as a spiritual journey Marriage - re-defined Erectile disfunction - yes I just wrote that correctly - and intimacy You can connect with Mark  here: W: www.markgroves.tv IG: @createthelove And, don't bloody forget to just be you.
