It’s like an assignment we gave to ourselves before we are born. Your Five Elements are key to understanding your curriculum. Once you fulfill that curriculum, you can move on and do something else. Your curriculum is a laid out plan of learning. This is what you’re going to learn in this lifetime. Until you get that lesson that you came to learn, you’ll continue to work on it for the rest of your life. It’s important to understand what your curriculum is. The Nine Palaces Nine Palaces–the next level of understanding yourself and your struggles in particular. All human beings have to attend to their Nine Palaces or they suffer. The cause of suffering is imbalance in their Nine Palaces. The Nine Palaces are: Career Love/Relationship Health Wealth/Abundance Home Travel/Adventure Children/Creativity Wisdom Prosperity Each of the Nine Palaces corresponds to one of the Five Elements. Wood – wealth and health Fire – relationship and prosperity Earth – home Metal – travel and creativity Water – career and wisdom If you do complete your curriculum, then you become a Realized Human being–an authentic being or a Zhen Ren. You don’t have to die. You have some new lessons to learn. You become an alchemist. Alchemy The Alchemists in China were the sages of antiquity who were trying to achieve longevity and especially immortality. The Eight Immortals were believed to be able to live forever. Alchemy is the exploration of the mystery of gold. If you bury gold in the ground and dig it up later, it doesn’t corrode like other metals. It comes out looking just as beautiful as the day you buried it. You are perfect like gold. Alchemy is about freedom and living authentically. Immortality We like to think we’re going to live a lot longer than we think. Having that mindset of having a longer life completely reframes everything. We don’t need to grow old, decrepit, and die. Breaking down is not a necessary requirement to being old. You can grow old, be well, have a good body, a strong mind, and a good spirit. Alchemy is a journey of one. The average person isn’t interested in transformation. The average person wants no change. Diamonds do not evolve. They lock you into that state. “Diamonds are forever” means, “I love you just the way you are and don’t change.” The Matrix–Neo had the choice, blue pill or red pill. He takes the red pill. The Nine Palaces breaks it down so it’s easy for you to look at all these aspects of your life. The Nine Palaces are about keeping awareness that you have all these aspects of your life. Commitment Commit to working on self-cultivation. Replace old habits with new habits. It means putting yourself first. If you don’t want to do something everyday, pick something else you want to do everyday. Be committed to something. What about your self-integrity? Can you commit to yourself what you want to do. Finding balance in your Nine Palaces is incredibly important. What’s the most important factor to balancing our Nine Palaces? Time. The Concept of Stuffing: We’re obsessed with stuffing because we have no time. The Time Suckers are everywhere. Time is more valuable than anything else. Maybe even love because if you have no time to be with your loved ones, then you don’t have love! It’s about spending time with each other. Everyone has the same 24 hours every day. We’re always acting out of fear.” “If 80 is the halfway point of your life, what would you do differently. “ “If you know that you are really dealing with fear in your life. The first step is acceptance. Accept where you are. You’re in fear, and that’s normal. We all have fear of the unknown.” Start the journey today. Where does it all begin? In this episode, we take a deeper dive into the Nine Stages of Alchemy, what they mean, and where to start the Alchemical Journey. This is the initiation step. It’s parting the veil. The veil is covering the illusion of reality. The goal is disillusionment, seeing through that illusion of life. When we’re behind that veil, we cannot act from inspiration. We’re always acting out of fear. The Nine Stages Alchemy is about freedom. The Nine Stages are stages of development and increasing freedom, not a treatment. What inhibits you from being truly free in your life. Why do we feel like we can’t do something we want to do? It’s because we’re hooked into something. We can’t let it go. Clear the baggage of this lifetime plus anything you brought into this life from your parents or past lives. Release rebellious qi so you can stop fighting for your heart’s desire and start allowing it to be easy. Metaphorically fly in your life and live your full potential. “Why do you have to complicate things with what-ifs and woulda-coulda-shoulda’s…” “You actually have to take the blinders off your eyes that limit your perception of life. You have to open your mind and allow a truer life experience.” Are you willing to change? Releasing fear of growth and change. If you have fear deep down in your subconscious, it’s going to keep surfacing. And you need to address this before you move on. Just be the watcher to shift the fear-based reality. Accept it, observe it and let safety into your life. Abraham techniques — When you say I’m safe once, it doesn’t get to the deeper subconscious. When you say it at least 17 times, it can have a deep effect. It has to feel like a relief when you say it. It works a magic on you when it’s the right affirmation. Are you asking what you really want without any limitations? It can be a tough thing to do for many people. By Jaye McElroy and Leta Herman | Follow: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram In this episode, we continue our discussion of Stage One of Alchemy. “It’s not based on money… It’s not based on fears, taking risks. There’s no mistakes. There’s no right, no wrong…. It’s a simple question, however, it’s the most profound question of our lives. What do I really want?” “Whenever you’ve been in the dark and you’re moving towards the light… it’s very bright in comparison to the darkness… you may have this exhilaration… an epiphany… but you may feel overwhelmed.” “Something just speaks to you from the space that is not your mind.” Getting to the Light at the End of the Tunnel After you make the commitment to embark on this journey, you may get some clarity about all the things you want to change in your life. But it can be overwhelming… what do you do when you’re overwhelmed by seeing what you need to see clearly. How do you move forward? The What-Do-I-Really-Want-Process of Alchemy You have to separate from the world and learn how to meditate. It’s about starting a self-cultivation practice. You have to retreat from the world, to think, to process, to reflect. “We need to give ourselves permission to reflect.” You need to ask “What do I really want” without any limitations, barricades, or roadblocks. Are you willing to ask yourself this question? “Even if they might know what they want, they put all these barricades or roadblocks in the way that they make it almost certain that they’re not going to get what they want. It’s almost the opposite… it can be an unraveling about how to get around these roadblocks, or if we have to, we’ll blow them up.” This process involves asking this question completely open-ended. There are no limitations. What if your whole life you’re being or doing something you don’t want to be or do? You need to give yourself the time to really listen to your higher self. What is the monkey mind? There’s a difference between your higher self and your ego-based monkey mind. Being vs. Doing What do you do for money? And what do you do for passion? Who do I really want to be? It’s the same question as What do I really want? It’s an identity question. “…when I told her that this question could be a being-ness question, and that she could actually wish for in her life, the Wu Wei that we talked about…she was so excited… Someone had given her the permission to just be the person she wanted to be…” The Meditation Think of yourself as a giant antenna. Turn on your receiver and wait for that signal to come in. Quiet that monkey mind. Asking yourself, what do I really want and tune yourself into the answer. You’re going to receive something. Something that arrives in your mind. You don’t manufacture it. Wait and be patient. Answer this question not from the mind level but from the spirit level. Write down your answers in your journal. Global Palace – traveling to another country was very rare in ancient times. It was about getting out of your little village to learn that we’re different but we all have similarities. If your Wealth Palace is limiting your Travel Palace, you can have adventures without needing money. Homework — Do something different every day. Something you don’t normally do. Do you feel free to travel? What’s holding you back? Do you feel stuck in a rut? Do you have a Global perspective on life? Make new friends… stretch yourself culturally.
