How do you know if you have a valid business or that you even could be a coach that actually helps people? We spoke to an expert, Michael Unbroken, who had no intention of being a coach but saw a ton of signs that led him in that direction. Today, he helps people who have dealt with childhood trauma live better lives and now runs a small successful team that is continuing to grow more and more. So much so, that he even got investment from Grant Cardone. Listen in for a ton of great tips and advice that will change the game for you and your journey whether your a coach or not. About Michael and Unbroken - in his own words: "I didn’t sign up to be the spokesman for survivors of child abuse. In fact, this job sucks. I mean that. The truth is that the universe chose me for this role. I have been gifted the ability to navigate the most harsh and vicious child abuse to come out on the other side seemingly whole. I say seemingly because there will always be a part of me that was stolen. I cannot get that back. None of the rage, drugs, sex, rock n’ roll, or anger will give me that thing that was stolen. The world is both beautiful and brutal and I have seen the best and the worst of it. I know that the abuse I suffered has given me an undeniable strength that I was only able to tap into after falling face first into complete darkness. There is truth in understanding that Mindset is Everything. There are no shortcuts, trust me I’ve tried them all. There is hard work and on the backside of that is getting your life back. Think Unbroken is about sharing the tools and skills I have created and leveraged over a lifetime to help other people break free of The Vortex and become the person that they know they are capable of being. If I can do it then anyone can."

Branding and storytelling are deeply misunderstood today by most entrepreneurs. So, what does it mean to your business and should it be a priority? We had the honor to talk to a branding legend, a guy that helped create Amazon, Yahoo! and created an agency valued at $1 billion - Bernhard Schroeder. More About Bernie (from him) Yesteryear, I was born in Austria. Today, I am the director at the Lavin Entrepreneurship Center and teach entrepreneurship courses at San Diego State University. In February, 2015, my book, Fail Fast or Win Big!, was published for anyone that aspires to be an entrepreneur but needs a road map. And, every now and then, I remake, launch or revitalize a brand.  I was not born to do any of this. I have no destination. Just a crazy journey that as far as I can see, still has miles to go. I worked hard early in my career and became a pretty good marketer. That ultimately led me to my future partners and we built CKS|Partners into the world's first and best integrated marketing agency powerhouse with more than 25 offices and 2,500 employees. I became a brand expert in that endeavor launching amazing brands offline and online like Yahoo! and Amazon. After that, I landed in the San Diego community and turned around four companies in eight years as a Chief Marketing or Operating Officer. That was fun, challenging and ultimately tiring. That's when I came to San Diego State University. By far, the most fun I have ever had is to be on a college campus. The energy, the ideas, the spirit of the students and staff is infectious. In February of 2015, I launched my first book, (Fail Fast or Win Big).  My second book, (Simply Brilliant) came out in September of 2016. It's about creativity and innovation and how everyone can be more creative. My third book is, ( Brands and Bulls**t, Excel at the Former, Avoid the Latter.)  A Branding Primer for Millennial Marketers in a Digital Age. The book was released by Tired Coast Publishing in October 2017. What if your money mindset is limiting your financial results as an entrepreneur? What can you do to change that? We connect with an expert on that topic, Wei Houng, who is the founder of the 6 Figure Academy and host of the podcast, Money Lab. About Wei: Founding Member and 6 Figure Breakthrough Coach, Wei Houng, has made it his passion, purpose, and goal to help people eliminate anxiety around money to achieve financial success and live a 6 Figure Lifestyle. And it wasn’t because he was always a 6 Figure success. Despite having his first 6 Figure business at the age of 22, he struggled for years to consistently make 6 Figures AND keep it. When he finally figured it out (along with going broke several times), he vowed to make it his mission to help others avoid as many of the pitfalls as possible to 6 Figure success. And over the last decade and a half, his desire to help others achieve financial enlightenment has evolved into a symbiotic adventure for both him and his clients. He has worked with celebrities, industry thought leaders, and countless entrepreneurs to re-define the role that money plays in their lives. The results have been life changing. Success Starts From Within, is his personal mantra. It came as an “ah-ha” moment while working with one of his own mentors. The “ah-ha” was that most of his failures were due to him looking outwards for success instead of within. Soon after, he discovered that to help his clients achieve the results THEY were looking for in money, it was more than just about helping them solely in the area of financial success. “It is about creating success in ALL areas of life to reach your financial goals. Every one of these areas have an impact on each other: finance, health & fitness, mental & emotional, and spiritual.” The 6 Figure Academy is literally a physical manifestation of Wei’s life experiences. Its philosophies guide all the life coaches and business coaches in the company. By coaching and guiding individuals to reach a high level of clarity in their lives, all the coaches at the The 6 Figure Academy live by the mantra to educate, empower, and inspire others to what their next steps should be, and how to make it happen. With a background in Computer Science & Engineering and a cohesive minor in Business Management from UCLA, Wei has infused the rapid problem-solving engineering approach in a holistic way to the strategies at The 6 Figure Academy. The holistic side comes from him being a Certified Life Coach, Master Practitioner and Trainer of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Master Practitioner of Hypnotherapy, and Master Practitioner of Mental and Emotional Release® Techniques. He is also an ordained minister in spirituality. Get more strategies and free downloads at
