This time around we have Octal joining us, an important figurehead in the Xbox 360 modding scene who has pushed RGH related developments forward in massive ways the last few years. We talk about what got him into electronics repair, the recent Right to Repair legislation, RGH3, backwards compatibility on Xbox One/Series, and more!

Back again for a solo episode of Mario's Minute this spooky month! I rant a bit about a terrifying sight I saw at a game shop: scalped PS5 consoles in a forced bundle! Kingdom Hearts coming to Switch is discussed, but it isn't as nice as many would expect. Some travel plans from this past month are discussed, a bit of the Switch scene, and my thoughts on the upcoming Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy release.

Long time friend of the channel Element aka The Mod Shop drops in this month to chat it up a bit! We spend a TON of time talking about some fond history with Xbox 360 modding, which is of course to be expected between us two. We also talk about some of our favorite mods we've seen, some N64 mods, updates to Nintendo Switch Online with the Expansion Pack announcement, and some advice on starting to reverse engineer.

Going solo this month to talk about recent news of Halo Infinite shipping incomplete or, excuse me, spreading content across multiple seasons. I also discuss some annoyances with PS4 to PS5 cross platform play for multiplayer, some sticker shock of compatible SSD prices for the PS5, and we go back in time to discuss a few game shop stories! Long time listener, Discord server admin, and friend of the show TazTheTechWiz comes on for this episode of Mario's Minute to chop it up for a bit! We talk about my most painful spicy food experience from about a week prior, which I don't advise anyone to emulate. We also discuss some pre-order hardware with the Steam Deck and Switch (OLED Model) being announced. I also FINALLY got a PS5, all thanks to TazTheTechWiz, so I give my first impressions on that.

This time around on Mario's Minute we've got a bit of news sprinkled alongside the personal stories! First up being a recent wave of PS3 console bans which might be due to an alleged leak of PS3 Console IDs. I also discuss the news of the re3 GitHub repository coming back online, which includes reVC and the upcoming Liberty City Stories branch for Grand Theft Auto reverse engineering efforts. Some talk of eBay sales, some more of my dog Lily making a friend, and wrapping it all up by visiting my old game shops!

This episode of Mario's Minute features Blaine Locklair, a fellow YouTuber who primarily covers game emulation and console modifications! Blaine came on for a couple of hours for some awesome conversation involving game preservation, collecting, and comparing old vs. new game store shopping experiences. We also get some life conversation in the mix with public speaking, introvert recharging, and mid-life crisis decisions over a Sega CDX.

Back again, solo again, talking about cats and the same storefront yet again like this is the second part of last month's episode! This month I give a bit of a quarantine related update and continue discussing last month's cat and PS3/PSP/Vita digital storefront shutdowns. I also share my experience shopping at a GameStop for the first time in over a year, taking Lily to the vet, and a throwback game store story.

For this month of Mario's Minute we're just going over a few topics, but some big ones for this episode! The first being how I ended up forcing a phone upgrade early due to some negligence on my part. PS3/PSP/Vita storefronts are reportedly shutting down in July and August of this year, and although at the time of recording a straight up public statement has yet to be made, I took some time to give my thoughts over this issue in the past, present, and future of digital storefronts. Finally I also talk about a kitten rescue I've accidentally gotten myself into, and wrap everything up with a game store story.

This episode of Mario's Minute features @Kacey, fellow YouTuber who works on a variety of gaming topics with a bit of a focus on weird console ports. She took some time to hang out for a couple of hours and discuss XLink Kai, college experiences, cars, and the importance of work spaces.

A new year, a new solo episode of Mario's Minute! In this episode I discuss the recent price increase, and sudden retraction, of Xbox Live Gold being doubled to $120. I also upgraded an older desktop as well as a few of my consoles with SSDs, so I take some time out to discuss my experiences and thoughts covering that venture. He stops by for a couple of hours as we discuss gaming as work, the Cyberpunk 2077 launch situation, and adventures with an upcoming Philips CD-i purchase. We also talk repair stories and odd issues we can't explain with consoles, because electronics do that sort of thing. 

The ninth generation of game consoles is here with the Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, and PlayStation 5 all hitting virtual store shelves! And guess who got one or all of them? Definitely not me, but that won't stop me from discussing my thoughts over their releases! I also discuss and pose the question to you all asking: When does a game console become retro? Aside from that, in this episode I discuss my experiences with glasses, as well as share a few more game shop stories.

Spooky bot filled preorder season this time around on Mario's Minute! In this episode I discuss my thoughts over the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X consoles. We gotta include the madness that was preordering these consoles, don't we? While there's been major difficulty for people trying to preorder any of these three systems, it seems like it has been even worse for anyone trying to get one of the new RTX cards! Oh, and I brought in a story from my time working at a game shop.

Old friend of the show TheOnlyZoltan joins in as a guest for this month's Mario's Minute! We take a couple of hours out to reminisce over how we originally met, as well as talk about some current events. This episode was definitely a treat to get lined up. pyama, a long time dear friend of mine, accepted my invitation to come onto the podcast and have a chat for a few hours! pyama has been a friend of the channel for several years, showing up in many different videos, and most notably having his music featured as background tracks in my most recent content. We were both really excited to schedule this as a public reveal and have him talk for the first time outside of his music. This episode went on for a lot longer than I expected, I was running out of steam near the end but it was without a doubt a great conversation with an awesome friend of mine. Enjoy!

This month we're finally joined by a guest! iTzLuPo is one of the first people I had started following in the modding scene when I was initially coming up on YouTube, I had originally found him as many of our tutorials and videos were covering overlapping topics. Although it has been several years since he's uploaded to his channel, he's still been around and we've been in contact with each other for about 5 or 6 years at this point. So... I guess in the end we got to have at least a single collaboration? Either way, I thought it would be awesome to have him on as a guest as well as catch up for the first time in a while. If you're at all familiar with him from the Xbox 360 modding scene several years ago, you'll be in for a treat.

Going solo again for this month's episode of Mario's Minute as I wanted to take some time to share the recent Seattle travel experience! At the end of July/beginning of August my girlfriend and I went to Seattle for a summer vacation. No goals in mind, no schedule, just visiting for the sake of checking out the place for the first time! In here I share my experiences getting to see some of the marketplaces, visiting Microsoft, Valve, Nintendo, and more! Although that takes up a large bulk of the podcast we also get some gaming topics in here too, with games currently being played as well as my thoughts on the recently announced Xbox All Access program.

Devin is my co-host on ModChat so I already have the pleasure of podcasting with him once a month, however I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to do an offline test of what our new setup would be like. If the audio sounds nicer than normal, great! If not, we'll continue to tweak it further on-air! Daniel from ModBot joins in as the first guest for Mario's Minute! Daniel is, without a doubt, the person I have the absolute most experience collaborating with which made him an easy pick for a first guest. Daniel started out on YouTube as thedopesoner930 and was in the realm of console modifications, after speaking privately to him and doing our first collaboration on a Destiny video I made, we decided to start up ModChat as our monthly podcast. I aim for guest episodes to be more of a conversation than an interview, that makes for some natural banter and a relaxed environment for everyone involved, so I plan for future guest episodes to be similar to this. Join us as we talk about 4K upgrades, the recent cryptocurrency boom, and what games we've been obsessing over.
