When Isabelle Giroux experienced uncontrollable pain from childhood trauma and an undiagnosed auto-immune disease, she began her search for new healing strategies. After implementing daily healing modalities and releasing negative energy, Isabelle accumulated the knowledge to support a healthy relationship with her mind, body, and spirit. For over thirty years, Isabelle has worked as a licensed naturopath and holistic life coach, supporting women during midlife to reach their health goals and reclaim their feminine power to live authentic and soul-aligned lives. Isabelle strongly believes that a woman’s life is meant to be created and lived in a way that is harmonious with her soul. As we age and our hormones fluctuate, it can be hard to understand and adjust to our new bodies. According to Isabelle, one of the biggest contributors to menopausal symptoms is stress. That is why it is important to heal our past traumas and focus on making healthy lifestyle choices. At the end of the day, all women need to understand that they are not defined by their physical appearance but rather by their acquired knowledge and life experiences. Tune into this week’s episode of Aligned & Soulful Leadership to learn more about the difference between perimenopause and menopause, ways you can relieve agitating symptoms, and how to align with your femininity to make the aging process a beautiful and unique experience. Quotes• “One of the great things about reaching midlife is we all have a lot of experience.” (03:00-03:02)• “Using naturopathy and bringing spirituality and mindset together is a wonderful combo. One without the other feels like something is missing in the recipe.” (07:25-07:40)• “When we are stuck under symptoms, it's really hard to know where we need to put our attention.” (10:44-10:52)•  “As a woman goes through the different chapters of her life, she's going to need different things that will support her.” (12:14-12:22)• “Each time you cry, honor yourself because you could be detoxing your body, releasing past traumas, or you could be healing deep within yourself.” (25:18-25:29) • “We don't need to look 20, but we need to honor ourselves and honor the woman that we are with all of our experiences and everything we've learned through the decades.” (29:41-29:55)LinksWebsite: https://isabellegirouxnd.com/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/naturalhealingmentor/ Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/NaturalHealingFemaleTribe Facebook Business: https://www.facebook.com/centrenaturalhealing YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCk2XIz7E4wcLsUGpsdMM-UA Download the 15 Holistic Power Practices for Women to Rock Midlife Vitality Workbook here: https://isabellegirouxnd.com/ • https://theenlightenedheart.pro/• Connect for a complimentary 30-minute clarity session explore how you can rise up into your leadership: https://theenlightenedheart.as.me/leadershipstrategyIG: https://www.instagram.com/kavitalifecoachFB: https://www.facebook.com/kavitalifecoachLI: https://www.linkedin.com/in/kavita-melwani-coach/

In today’s episode, Kavita Melwani continues her conversation on WOC experiencing professional dissatisfaction. She discusses people’s tendencies when experiencing a career rut and the cultural conditioning that prevents us from tapping into our intuitive guidance.Kavita explains that seeing our peers’ milestones online can make us feel insecure about our accomplishments. Although comparisons are natural, especially for immigrant families, it’s essential to check in with yourself and determine the source of your discontent. Kavita suggests creating a balance of the mind, body and soul to discover where your passions genuinely lie and where your heart is guiding you.Tune into this week’s episode of Aligned & Soulful Leadership to learn more about host Kavita’s advice to WOC who feel professionally stuck.Quotes• “Whatever you see online, whatever you hear from people, even if it's in person, it's just what they want you to hear. You're only hearing one small piece of the process of the story of reality.” (03:43-03:58)• “That can be a real struggle for a lot of women of color because we may have grown up in families where comparison was a normal process, especially being compared to those that were in our immediate surroundings.” (06:52-07:08)• “I'm going to encourage you to check in to see: are you numbing? Are you overeating, over-drinking, overspending, overworking, so that you can not deal with the fact that you want to make a change and you don't know what to do?” (13:51-14:07)• “When you are at that point where you've done the research and you've talked to people, then it's time to stop. It's time to check in, it's time to see where your heart is guiding you.” (16:28-16:42)• “If you're looking for purpose, if you're looking for meaningful work, if you are really feeling stuck, you need to pay attention to that. And we tend to look to the physical world, especially if you are from an immigrant background because there was a sense of conditioning of the practical, of tangible. I’m going to encourage you to seek more balance of the mind, body, and spirit to use your intuitive guidance.” (23:12-23:46)• “If you're taking action, go beyond your comfort zone, go beyond your surroundings and what you're used to.” (27:02-27:08)Links• https://www.buzzsprout.com/1367260/episodes/9470462• https://theenlightenedheart.pro/• Oracle Cards: “The Jewels Inside”• Free Abundance Meditation and Exercise:  https://theenlightenedheart.pro/abundance-now/• Receive Your Free Guide: "5 Ways to Feed Your Soul and Rise Into Your Leadership as an Empath"   https://theenlightenedheart.pro/free-gift• Connect for a complimentary 30-minute clarity session explore how you can rise up into your leadership: https://theenlightenedheart.as.me/leadershipstrategyIG: https://www.instagram.com/kavitalifecoachFB: https://www.facebook.com/kavitalifecoachLI: https://www.linkedin.com/in/kavita-melwani-coach/

In today’s episode, Kavita Melwani discusses the Great Resignation, a term that describes the current worldwide trend of workers seeking a career change. Kavita provides three self-reflexive steps you should take to determine if a professional shift is right for you or if another solution is needed to combat burnout.Kavita explains how the pandemic has motivated many people to reevaluate their careers and question if they may find more fulfillment elsewhere. However, before making a move, Kavita suggests asking yourself how you are showing up for your job now, what interests you naturally gravitate towards, and if you’re willing to start over in an entry-level position. She also acknowledges that although it is tough for anyone to start a new path, it is especially challenging for BIPOC women due to cultural conditioning. Tune into this week’s episode of Aligned & Soulful Leadership to learn more about host Kavita Melwani’s advice to BIPOC women on making an informed career change.Quotes• “If you've been kind of on this wheel of just doing and doing and doing, it's imperative to take that time to step outside of that daily grind and to really look at your thoughts, feelings, and how you truly feel about a situation.” (06:25-06:45)• “A lot of what's happening is not necessarily that the person needs to change their career immediately. Instead, they really need to change how they're approaching their career and why they're feeling burnt out.” (08:00-08:13) • “I believe you are fulfilling your purpose already. Just by being alive, just by showing up and being who you are. And if you're worried about not doing your work in the world, and fulfilling your purpose, start with showing up authentically.” (11:14-11:29) • “There are the practical elements of a career change, you know, the finances and all that stuff. And if you're really excited and passionate, and you know what you want to do, then it's about making sure that you're ready, and you're willing to budget, or you're willing to do the things, and the people around you are ready to support you in that process.” (18:00-18:20)• “Oftentimes, your family won't understand. They won't understand that you have this deep soul desire to pursue a different path. And you know that you want to go down that path. You can do it anyway. And so seeking a community of like-minded individuals around you is going to help you through that process.” (23:33-23:59)Links• https://www.buzzsprout.com/1367260/episodes/8638704• https://www.npr.org/sections/money/2021/10/19/1047032996/why-are-so-many-americans-quitting-their-jobs• https://www.businessinsider.com/labor-shortage-workers-quitting-quit-job-pandemic-covid-survey-monster-2021-7• https://time.com/6106322/the-great-resignation-jobs/ • https://theenlightenedheart.pro/• Oracle Cards: “The Jewels Inside”• Free Abundance Meditation and Exercise:  https://theenlightenedheart.pro/abundance-now/• Receive Your Free Guide: "5 Ways to Feed Your Soul and Rise Into Your Leadership as an Empath"

On today’s episode, Kavita Melwani continues her exploration of multicultural women seeking leadership positions but struggling to make their desires known. She discusses the three reasons BIPOC women shut down in the work environment and identifies the one element that every leader must have to succeed: a voice.Kavita explains that BIPOC women are conditioned to respect authority, which often prevents them from speaking up in the workplace out of fear of seeming disrespectful. Many women have also faced prior trauma when voicing their ideas, which initiates a pattern of fawning and people-pleasing. Finally, multicultural women can feel intense pressure to succeed, which shuts them down mentally. Kavita dives deep into all of these areas to provide women with the tools needed to speak their minds.Tune into this week’s episode of Aligned & Soulful Leadership to hear more about host Kavita Melwani’s advice to BIPOC women on conquering their fears to find their voice.Quotes• “If you're working on showing up more and finding your voice when you're in levels of high anxiety, high stress, you're more likely to go to your default ways of functioning. It takes some more practice, it takes some accountability and even some awareness of what's happening. When you're starting to shed light on what is happening, then you can start that process of shifting.” (3:54-4:21) • “In my cultural background, being respectful means that you don't second guess authority. And, unfortunately, a lot of women of color come from cultures where they are conditioned to respect authority in the same way, where they're meant to not question and they listen.” (7:30-7:52)• “It's time to take a look at what you're saying yes to, and where that internal desire to say ‘yes and please’ is coming from. And oftentimes it is from that conditioning.” (14:07-14:18)• “If you're going to be in a position of leadership, you're going to have to learn how to set boundaries, you're going to have to learn how to say no as a complete sentence without an explanation. You're going to have to speak out the truth, you're going to have to contribute your ideas.” (15:25-15:39)• “Once you're aware, then you can start to pick one thing and one way that you can show up differently. Choose a thing to do differently, one way to express yourself despite the fear.” (22:41-22:52)Linkshttps://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/addiction-and-recovery/202008/understanding-fight-flight-freeze-and-the-fawn-response• https://theenlightenedheart.pro/• Free Abundance Meditation and Exercise:  https://theenlightenedheart.pro/abundance-now/• Receive Your Free Guide: "5 Ways to Feed Your Soul and Rise Into Your Leadership as an Empath"   https://theenlightenedheart.pro/free-gift• Connect for a complimentary 30-minute clarity session explore how you can rise up into your leadership: https://theenlightenedheart.as.me/leadershipstrategyIG: https://www.instagram.com/kavitalifecoachFB: https://www.facebook.com/kavitalifecoachLI: https://www.linkedin.com/in/kavita-melwani-coach/

Hayley Ebersole, Founder of the Body-Mind Freedom Membership, supports soulful visionaries to release overwhelm and stress by cultivating inner and outer strength and wellbeing so they can embody the change they wish to see in the world. As a personal trainer, holistic wellness coach and yoga teacher, her work offers a pathway to physical, emotional and soul healing through reconnection to the wisdom of nature inside of our own bodies through group movement rituals, classes and courses. In a culture that rarely supports positive change, it can be easy to lose touch with ourselves. Hayley explains that as leaders, it is vital to ground our minds and bodies in the natural world. A simple way to do this is by touching your own body during mediation. According to Hayley, this method calms the nervous system and amplifies the benefits of your practice. Hayley finds that when she closes her eyes, places her hand on her belly, and takes a deep breath, she is no longer in her head, but rather grounded to the earth through her own body. Tune into this week’s episode of Aligned & Soulful Leadership to learn more about the ways you can deepen your meditation practice, create energetic boundaries and become rooted in nature to cultivate inner and outer strength.Quotes• “In order to do my work and to be a leader in the world, I do need to structure my life around self-care.” (06:33-06:42)• “There was really a shift for me when I began to make the connection between the trauma that many of us hold and a culture that doesn't doesn't generally create space for alternative forms of leadership.” (08:47-09:05)• “If another human touches us, we get a beautiful, juicy hormone dump. But, we can experience a similar calmness to the nervous system by touching our own body.” (17:16-17:32) • “Rediscovering the inherent and natural cycle of nature as our experience innately draws us into our soul.” (23:37-23:56)• “The best way to disempower someone is to disconnect them from their body and the most effective way to disempower someone is to not only disconnect them from their body, but to make them feel like the body is the enemy.”  (30:51-31:09)Connect with Hayley Ebersole:https://www.exploringbodymindfreedom.com/Use coupon code “Empathleader” for 50% off a month’s subscription of coaching with Hayley.https://www.instagram.com/bodymindfreedom/Nature and the Human Soul by Bill Plotkin: https://www.animas.org/books/nature-and-the-human-soul/Soulcraft by Bill Plotkin: https://www.animas.org/books/soulcraft/Connect with Kavita Melwani and Aligned & Soul Leadership• https://theenlightenedheart.pro/• Free Abundance Meditation and Exercise:  https://theenlightenedheart.pro/abundance-now/• Receive Your Free Guide: "5 Ways to Feed Your Soul and Rise Into Your Leadership as an Empath"   https://theenlightenedheart.pro/free-gift• Connect for a complimentary 30-minute clarity session explore how you can rise up into your leadership: https://theenlightenedheart.as.me/leadershipstrategyIG: https://www.instagram.com/kavitalifecoachFB: https://www.facebook.com/kavitalifecoachLI: https://www.linkedin.com/in/kavita-melwani-coach/

Your host, Kavita Melwani, continues her conversation on multicultural women looking to step into their authentic selves in ways that don’t necessarily fit within their cultural norms. In this episode, Kavita introduces three challenges that BIPOC women and first and second generation immigrants commonly face. Each of the challenges has one very important element in common: intuition. Kavita explains that BIPOC women are often taught that their feelings are not valid and that they must fit in to stay safe. In addition, BIPOC women often select the practical choice because impractical decisions are deemed too risky. Kavita dives deep into each of these challenges and advises listeners on how to overcome them using intuition.Tune into this week’s episode of Aligned & Soulful Leadership to hear more about host Kavita Melwani’s advice to BIPOC women on using intuition to conquer common challenges.Quotes• “One of the skills I teach all of my clients is to learn, trust and access their own intuition, so they can make decisions that are in alignment with their own goals and desires.” (00:30-00:45) • “Our feelings are an indication to pay attention. It is the window to our intuitive guidance.” (02:25-02:31) • “Sometimes our feelings are results of thoughts that are not serving us.” (02:44-2:50)• “When we don't use our voice when you want to speak up, and when you choose how you look based on the others in the room, you hide your feelings, hurts and struggles from others.”  (5:20-5:45) • “Your intuition may be telling you to speak up. Choose your own path.” (6:03-6:07)• “For BIPOC women and children of immigrants, following their intuitive guidance can be more challenging because they were not taught to honor their feelings, they learned to blend in to be safe, and choosing the practical always had higher value.” (11:04-11:22)• “You can always change your choices.” (13:52-13:55) Links• https://theenlightenedheart.pro/• Oracle Cards: “The Jewels Inside”• Free Abundance Meditation and Exercise:  https://theenlightenedheart.pro/abundance-now/• Receive Your Free Guide: "5 Ways to Feed Your Soul and Rise Into Your Leadership as an Empath"   https://theenlightenedheart.pro/free-gift• Connect for a complimentary 30-minute clarity session explore how you can rise up into your leadership: https://theenlightenedheart.as.me/leadershipstrategyIG: https://www.instagram.com/kavitalifecoachFB: https://www.facebook.com/kavitalifecoachLI: https://www.linkedin.com/in/kavita-melwani-coach/

You may have noticed that some changes have been made to the podcast: we have a new title, new cover art, and a slightly redirected mission. While your host, Kavita Melwani, is still dedicated to supporting highly sensitive people and empaths, she has narrowed in her focus. Throughout the pandemic, Kavita realized that a specific type of person has been coming to her for guidance: multicultural women looking to step into their authentic selves in ways that don’t necessarily fit within their cultural norms. As a first generation American herself, Kavita has discovered a sense of empowerment and purpose in supporting these women as they reevaluate their lives and create the best versions of themselves.Tune into this week’s episode of the newly named Aligned & Soulful Leadership Podcast to hear more about why Host Kavita Melwani has decided to follow her intuition and change up the show. Quotes• “So, I started attracting women mainly, men too, but women like me. Women, who are multicultural and are trying to balance both cultures and want to be the best version of themselves. But their version of what they want to create in the world, how they want to live their life and the work they want to engage with and be in does not necessarily fit their cultural norms.” (02:50-03:20) • “I need to go to the person that is coming to me.” (04:36-04:40) • “During these exceptional times, I’ve seen more women of color willing to seek help! For a lot of us, seeking help is not okay. It’s not okay to air your dirty laundry. It’s really not a good investment to spend money on a coach or a therapist or any type of support.” (06:17-06:41)• “I truly feel that we need women, women of color, to rise up into their authentic leadership, to rise up into their soulful leadership, to make this world a better place and make this a place that we all want to be, where we are all welcome.” (08:20-08:44)Links• https://theenlightenedheart.pro/• Oracle Cards: “The Jewels Inside”• Free Abundance Meditation and Exercise:  https://theenlightenedheart.pro/abundance-now/• Receive Your Free Guide: "5 Ways to Feed Your Soul and Rise Into Your Leadership as an Empath"   https://theenlightenedheart.pro/free-gift• Connect for a complimentary 30-minute clarity session explore how you can rise up into your leadership: https://theenlightenedheart.as.me/leadershipstrategyIG: https://www.instagram.com/kavitalifecoachFB: https://www.facebook.com/kavitalifecoachLI: https://www.linkedin.com/in/kavita-melwani-coach/

In today's show, I want to talk about self-worth and business.I will talk about how self-worth is directly related to doing too much and the word ‘busy’ that our society has made like a badge of honor. How this idea has been deeply implanted that we need to be hustling and busy all the time. Because of this societal standard, we never take any breaks and we never give ourselves a chance to breathe. We wake up early and we keep going until we hit the bed at night and fall asleep.  So when you are behaving this way, it's important to bring it into your consciousness and become aware of what you're doing. What happens when you are living your life out of alignment?  So many things can be thrown off when you are living out of alignment, for example, your physical and mental health.I teach about using your intuition to guide your decisions because if I had used my own inner guidance and intuition I would have chosen differently many times.  Without access to your intuition, you may be confused and unsure of where to be spending and focusing your time and energy. You may also just be living the life others envisioned for you, vs. living out and pursuing the things that light you up.In this episode, I share a few different ways to re-align, and start tuning into your intuition to make aligned decisions and guide your life down the path meant for you.[2:43] Struggling to gain access to inner guidance/intuition[3:24] My first awakening[5:42] When you live out of alignment, health issues, and many other low level energies come to the surface[7:07] The act of remembering[8:06] Learn to seek guidance from healers that are trained to not influence your decisions but guide you to follow your intuition and help you uncover whats underneath[10:03] Why many empaths/HSP’s have come to doubt their intuition[11:52] In order to access your intuition, it takes multiple things[13:10] 3 different tools & techniques to calm your nervous system and access your right side of your brain. As HSP’s, introverts, and empaths the word fun can feel like a trigger due to the other 80% of the population viewing fun so differently than we do. It can be easy to get wrapped up in the idea of what “fun” is supposed to be instead of realizing that fun is something personal and individual to things that bring us joy. In this episode, I discuss why fun can seem so triggering and it can be difficult for HSP’s to find things that we find fun, the importance of fun in everyone’s life, and some different ideas of things that are sensory-friendly that can be fun to you that others may not consider. It’s time to start making fun a priority in your life again!I hope I have inspired you to choose to have some fun today. Take some time and schedule in the appointment for next week or within the next two weeks. Make it a regular habit, and see how this impacts your life.If you are having trouble letting go because you are overwhelmed with all that is going on in your life, it may be time to contact me to schedule a clarity session.[1:24] The Heaviness in the world currently[3:17] Why “fun” can feel like a trigger[4:55] You have permission to allow yourself to have fun[5:30] The definition of fun[6:55] Ideas of fun things for HSP’s and Empaths[8:25] Finding an alternative to a normal fun thing that works for you and your needs[9:36] Why making fun a priority in your life is so important[12:10] How will you make joy and fun a priority in your life?www.theenlightendheart.proLink to apply for a 30-minute clarity session https://theenlightenedheart.as.me/claritysession
