We are all subject to seasonal, lunar, and circadian rhythms. Explore the spirituality and the science of eating and fasting in this monthly podcast. Eating with the sun implies that we should consume local and seasonal food while our appetite and digestion are working at their optimal best (ideally between 10:00am and 6:00pm). Fasting with the moon implies that we should fast every night, as well as during certain phases of the moon. Short periods of fasting cleanse the body and focus the mind. Spiritual fasting allows for reflection, self-improvement, and heightened devotion or worship.
