Here is the new episode of The Interview Series on the MULTI-MEDIA MEN podcast network, where the show is related to all things Movies, Music, and Entertainment! Here on this new episode, hosts  Bryan Kluger from Boomstick Comics, High Def Digest, and Screen Rant, along with good friend Marc Ciafardini from GoSeeTalk join in on the fun. Our Feature Presentation this episode is a wonderful talk with composer/musician/DJ KATE SIMKO on her new project UNDERPLAYED! About Kate Simko: Composer Kate Simko (We Believe in Dinosaurs, 20 Weeks) scored the 2020 Tribeca Film Festival and TIFF official selection documentary UNDERPLAYED – coming to the Amazon Music Mobile App and Amazon Prime Video on Monday, March 8th — International Women’s Day. Electronic music was born from the ideals of diversity, community, and inclusivity; yet in 2019, women made up only 7% of Billboard’s Top 100 DJs and less than 3% of production and technical roles in the music industry. Simko’s electronic score for Underplayedwas influenced by her own experiences as an internationally touring female DJ, music producer, and musician. She related to the women DJs in the film, and drew from each of their music styles while also adding her own unique voice to emphasize their shared struggles. Filmed over a summer EDM festival season, Underplayed presents a portrait of the current status of the gender, ethnic, and sexuality equality issues in dance music; following top DJ’s Rezz, Alison Wonderland, Tokimonsta, NERVO, Tygapaw, and more as they share their struggles and successes   The three of us talk about origin stories, where it all started with music and film, raves in Chicago, EDM, composing, and much more. It was a delightful, fun, engaging, and candid talk for sure. Enjoy the show! In this special collector's edition episode - we discuss the hit new reality series 12 Dates Of Christmas on HBO MAX and have one of the stars of the show - JOSE RAMIREZ - join us to talk about dating, hooking up, and falling in love at a castle during Christmas time. About 12 Dates Of Christmas: "On a mission to meet that special someone to bring home for the holidays, three hopelessly romantic singles arrive at an Austrian castle for a fast-paced journey of festive dates –from ugly sweater parties to après-ski activities that send temperatures soaring. But, as in all great rom-coms, their paths to love won’t be easy –just as our leading singles make connections, new love interests arrive, adding plenty of twists, turns, and, hopefully, holiday cheer. Along the way, they will face regular elimination ceremonies, complicated blasts from the past, and no shortage of conflicting emotions. After bringing someone home for the holidays, they must decide whether to commit or walk away forever, by the stroke of midnight on New Year’s Eve. The incomparable Natasha Rothwell narrates." Jose, Susan, and I have an entertaining and candid talk about some of the behind the scenes info over the two weeks of filming, how Jose came across this opportunity, falling in love, the hometown for Christmas experience in Louisiana, keeping up with the cast of the show, and much more. Welcome to the brand new show on the Multi-Media Men Podcast Network called “The Music Medics“, a show dedicated to music, musicians, albums, records, and more, along with some other wild segments. Hosts Bryan Kluger from Boomstick Comics, High Def Digest, and Screen Rant along with Eric Braem of The Level team up for some infectious discussions on the music industry, vintage, and new albums, musicians, interviews, and more. This 1st episode is all about Christmas music and albums you should definitely listen to. In the 1st episode, Eric and Bryan discuss how they met in college at the University of Kansas, their radio show at 90.7 KJHK, and their love of music. They then do a deep dive of some of the best Christmas albums, songs, and more, which guaranteed to get your toes tapping and that egg nogg flowing. We asked a question to Reddit as well, which was - "What musician/band do you want to see do a Christmas album but hasn’t yet?" Head over to Reddit to read our listener’s responses. And don’t forget to visit iTunes , Stitcher , I Heart Radio, and Spotify to subscribe to our podcast. You can also email us at mybloodypodcast@gmail.com. Enjoy the show and see you next week! Thank you for listening. https://boomstickcomics.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/music-medics-1-christmas.mp3 Eric The Cap'n Braem's Christmas Playlist These top tunes don't appear on perfect Christmas albums but are sure to create ample holiday cheer and joy.   The X-Misses — There's No Christmas in Hell (And That's Why I'm so Sad) A rollicking gem of a jam and funny as… hell. Elvis Presley — Blue Christmas No doubt the best version of this song, with very creative backing vocals, and Elvis on top of his vibrato skills. Sloan — December 25 Warm, cozy, and gentle (Canadians, naturally), with a swaying hook. Another of Sloan’s Christmas songs I like is the title track to the Kids Come Back at Christmas, which “December 25” appears on. Jeremih & Chance the Rapper — Family For I’m not a huge CtR fan, but he’s great on this one, laid back and instead of manic and high pitched. He lets someone else do the singing; smart. Available for free at chanceraps.com. The Beths — Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas These New Zealanders breathe some serious life and a monster guitar solo into an overplayed classic. Gayla Peevey — The Christmas Hippo Song Most kids probably didn’t know how much they wanted to unwrap a hippopotamus before hearing this. Say Sue Me — Christmas, It’s Not a Biggie I’m still working on figuring out all the lyrics, but this surf-and-garage-inspired K-rock band’s song is a holiday de-stressor. Hans Toupee — Lights Camera Christmas Think “a disco Christmas version of Right Said Fred’s ‘I’m Too Sexy’ done in a faux German accent.” Better yet, don’t think, just enjoy. The Dip — Santa's Got a Sweet Tooth Hard funk with hard facts about Santa’s dietary habits. Nat King Cole — The Christmas Song It’s perfect. ‘Nuff said. Willie Nelson — Pretty Paper Willie’s iconic, original voice and the upbeat refrain perhaps disguise this Willie Nelson original’s message to be charitable at an extra difficult time of year for many.  Squirrel Nut Zippers — Sleigh Ride Christmas Caravan is a very interesting album full of originals, but the rousing, big-band-style “Sleigh Ride” could lift any spirit and might be the best recorded version of the song. Clarence Carter — Back Door Santa Arguably a Christmas classic. As silly as “Grandma Got Runover By a Reindeer” but a thousand times more listenable. Everclear — Hating You for Christmas Almost an anti-Christmas song, but this secret song (remember those, 90s kids?) strikes me as just… real. If you’re suffering from heartache at Christmas, Art Alexakis has your back. Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings — 8 Days (of Hanukkah) There’s a tragic lack of great Hanukkah songs amongst the glut o...
