Formed in 1995 in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, the Two Dollar Pistols are a Honky-Tonk band, led by baritone singer John Howie, Jr. Primarily active 1997-2007, The band still occasionally performs, Howie has released records solo, as well as with his primary performing band, The Rosewood Bluff.
