Rhinofy presents Whatever! The 90s, updated every Friday! The ‘90s were a bizarre, disjointed time for music. When the bubble of 80’s pop and hair metal burst, the musical landscape splintered into a wide variety of genres and sub-genres and sub-sub-genres. “Alternative Rock,” a completely loathsome term, became mainstream which meant everyone from grunge and indie rock to punk and ska to eletronica to rap rock had a spot on the radio, often times right next to each other. It’s with that same eclectic, unfocused eye that we’ve assembled this 90’s rock playlist. Some artists you may recognize while other’s time has passed through the musical hourglass. Sometime the artists themselves might seem obvious but the track included is an overlooked album gem instead of the recurring radio mainstays. Much like the ‘90s, there is no static blueprint to this playlist. Thrown on your flannel and doc Martens, try to look as apathetic as humanly possible, and give a spin to Whatever!
