Experiential Learning with Jay Kornatt

By Ling Ling

Text, audio and visuals alone is not enough to change behaviour or adopt a new skill.   Researchers have found that experiences have a greater impact in skills development and behaviour change. These experiences can be obtained through simulation, deep practice, on-the-job and many more. Experiential learning is a process through which students develop knowledge, skills, and values from direct experiences outside a traditional academic setting. It can encompass a wide variety of work experiences, such as internships, on-the-job, research and many more. If we want to ensure our students or workforce effectively adopt a new skill or behaviour, how can we shape the learning experience? What are the important elements of designing an effective experiential learning? Joining us is Jay Kornnatt, he is a transformative facilitator and the Managing Director of Transformagent Academy based in Bangkok, Thailand. Jay has been a facilitator all his life. Since 2008, he has used experiential learning in his training programs and his life.   Check out our podcast on:  iTunes: CastBox: Google Play Music: iHeartRadio: Overcast: Spotify: Stitcher:     Highlights from the podcast page can be found here:   *If you enjoy this episode, please like, share or comment on this post.
