LGBT+ CONVERSION THERAPY and the role of activist in protecting the community

By Edafe Okporo

Conversion therapy is the pseudoscientific practice of trying to change an individual's sexual orientation from homosexual or bisexual to heterosexual using psychological or spiritual interventions. This is resulted from the psychological beliefs that gay people are in a form of mental health illness or are not normal for being gay. Joined Mathew Shurka a conversion therapy survivor and Jack Harrison-Quintana from Grindr for equality. We discussed about the Born Perfect campaign and Grindr for equality fight against the marginalization of LGBT+ people from a global perspective. A fight against one of us is a fight against all of us!  --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/edafeokporo/support
