Be it Stormzy or Rico Nasty, for many MCs the art of spoken word was the stepping stone to an illustrious career of lyrical wizardry. KateTempest did the opposite. Kate started out as a rapper and then evolved into one of the most renowned spoken word artists, who is also a revered poet, novelist, and playwright.
