By Rebecca Klein

CW: Discussion of sexual abuse In the director's words: With a cast solely integrated by female-identifying actors, "alex getting better" is a play that treats friendship, trauma, mental health, and healing as its main issues. It invites us to ask ourselves, are we the sum of what happens to us or what we do with it? When Alex decides to visit some of her high school friends, a group that shares an experience of sexual abuse, she discovers that they all feel very differently about the events, and has to deal with what it means to want to talk about it. In her journey, Alex discovers a bit more of who she is and fights for a place to help herself heal from all of it. Written by Audrey Lang Directed by Agustina Cedraschi Starring Sidney Aaron Aptaker as Alex, Kelsey Senteio as Jordan, Siena D'Addario as Jennie, Maddie Nguyen as Ruthie, and Cait Kelly as Hallie. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast.
