In December 2019, fans were gifted the first look at the promising things to come in 2020 with his debut single Revolution Postponed (Live) - championed by BBC Radio veteran Mike Sweeney. The song was described as “a protest song for the social media generation”, likened to that of Bob Dylan, proudly wearing his influnces on his sleeve. In March 2020, he released Anthem for the North which was endorsed by Wigan Warriors and Wigan Athletic. The song was played on BBC Introducing in Merseyside and by John Kennedy on Radio X, making it his national radio debut and his most successful release to date.
The release of 'Television Fantasy' marked the debut of his new ten-piece super group, The Wallgate Band. It was premiered on XS Manchester to high acclaim from Jim Salveson; and shotly after on BBC Introducing in Merseyside. With it's fresh take on alternative rock, combining the most iconic sounds of the last five decades.
Joe's latest solo track Mean Streets charter at number six in the iTunes Alternative Charts and also made XS Manchester's Record of the Week who described his sound as Bruce Springsteen meets The Killers.
