Pete Parkkonen is a Finnish pop singer who rose to fame on the television show Idols in 2008 and then embarked on a chart-topping solo career a year later.
Born on February 8, 1990, in Pihtipudas, Finland, he finished in third place behind winner Koop Arponen in the 2008 season of Idols, a Pop Idol-style television show in Finland. He subsequently signed a recording contract with Sony Music and made his full-length album debut with The First Album (2009). Sung in English, the album spawned the Top Five hit "Girl in a Uniform" and the follow-up single "The Final Day." ~ Jason Birchmeier
