PRESS CLUB continue their unbridled, and unsigned romp 2018 with the release of 'LATE TEENS', the fourth and patronymic single from their debut album.
‘Late Teens’ was recorded almost entirely live over one day during the album sessions at The Aviary Studios in Melbourne. The vocals were tracked with a microphone at the end of the studio corridor, more than five meters away from Natalie Foster, forcing her to belt out her her part to be heard and to compete with the rain pummelling the studio roof (which can be heard in the intro). As with all of their work it was completely self-produced by the band and engineered by the band’s guitarist Greg Rietwyk. Bassist Iain MacRae citing that they “tried out a few different recording methods and experimented with different tones to give the song more guts, to make it as tough as possible without losing it's essence".
