In 2018 she earned her first Gold plaque penning the M-22 track “First Time”, as well as co-writing global phenomenon BTS’s hit “Spring Day”—the first ever K-Pop song to enter Billboard’s Bubbling Under Hot 100 list—where Arlissa’s signature vocals are heard throughout the track. Arlissa also made her soundtrack debut assisting in the scoring of the film The Hate U Give with her intoxicating song “We Won’t Move”, the track was later long-listed for Best Original Song at the Oscars.
Prior to his untimely passing, Avicii expressed interest in working with Arlissa. “I regret that never happened,” she says.
2019 hasn’t slowed her pace, she returned to the studio with M-22 for the upcoming track “Eyes Off You” with Kiana Ledé appearing on the soundtrack to the Charlie’s Angels film. Arlissa was also back on co-writing duty and provided backing vocals for Zayn Malik's single "Flames".
But it’s her impending solo project that is most exciting. Having gained notoriety for her melodically rich, lyrically direct, vocally mighty self-released tracks – Arlissa strikes a chord in the purest form. Arlissa’s main intent is to provide authentic music that people can relate to while simultaneously healing herself in the process.
