Fieldcrest was born of chance; two artists who found themselves hindered by small towns with few musicians taking their ideas to the internet determined to fulfill the need to create a sound for others like them; those who often stand on the outside but with so much to say.
After a recently derailed project, Will took his music online throughout the U.S. searching for a vocalist to help bring his passion to life. A handful of hope and hundreds of responses later no real connections were made until a response came in on an ad that had, almost jokingly, been posted in a region with few people – Wyoming. Enter lyricist and vocalist, Jena who aspired to turn a lifelong passion into reality. With influences ranging from seventies classic rock to grunge, they began bouncing ideas back and forth through email, morphing and shaping the songs Will had written that would eventually become the duo’s first EP “Meadowlark” released in April of 2018. Meadowlark is a mix of loud, ambient guitars and heavy-hitting drums with melody, emotion, vulnerability, and passion that exceeds limitations.
