New York's best-dressed, highest-jumping and best-harmonizing live rock band was formed while Michael was recovering from a surgery that took a big ice cream scoop of flesh off what can politely be referred to as his tailbone. Childhood friend and drummer Julian was on hand during his coalescence and with a burst of inspiration from the Japanese bit at the beginning of Missy Elliott's "Get Ur Freak On," the first Hell Yeah Babies song was written. In the coming months, a web of intrigue involving a short-scale bass and the twitter DM's of a fashion journalist would draw Dylan and Sam into the fold, respectively. The fellas blazed a trail across every venue in New York City not slated for demolition and whipped their fanatical base into a frenzy to crowdfund their debut LP All the Things That You Believe.
