Oluwatosin Adesanya with stage name, Breezi (alias OBA Funds), is a Nigerian writer, songwriter, content developer, singer, performer, actor, film producer and new media maverick.
Breezi started out as a rapper and member of defunct Gospel Hiphop group, “The Townkryyaz” in 2001. As a student in the Olabisi Onabanjo University (O.O.U), Ogun state, Nigeria, he honed his skills as a song writer and publicist and then delved into secular music before joining a Lagos-based music group, Schoolboi Inc., in 2004 as an A&R executive where he mastered the ropes of the Nigerian media.
He went on to drop his first solo effort, an EP titled, “Breezi The Playmaker: Life and times of a dope boy” in 2013. He bubbled under for a few year while ghostwriting for accomplished acts. Breezi while pursuing a career in brand management, entertainment journalism and social media marketing, kept recording and finding his sound.
Breezi whose style of music is influenced by afrobeat, fuji, juju, pop and alternative music, kept writing and recording songs while maintaining his core fan base. He got the attention of United Kingdom based Savage Music Inc at a listening event and went on to sign a multi-millionaira deal.
Described as an urban King Sunny Ade, Breezi broke off the deal and pressed forward with singles like "Oni Dende", “Sare”, “Amugbo Nation” and popular Nigerian smash hit, “For My Girlfriend”.
