Max Philips is a music producer, rapper, and singer from Los Angeles, Ca. He was born on November 19th, 1992 in Mission Viejo, Ca.
and was raised in San Clemente, Ca., a beach town about 70 miles south of LA. He attended San Juan Hills High School, where he graduated from in 2011. He then moved to the mountains to attend the University of Colorado Boulder. After college he moved back to Southern California to pursue a creative career in Los Angeles. He moved around the beach cities on the west-side of LA like Venice and Mar Vista before settling in Santa Monica, where he lives today.
Max first became interested in the idea of a musical career when he discovered Garageband on his computer at age 16. He threw together a DIY home studio setup and bought a budget microphone and started recording pop and hip hop covers.
Now, the artist has 65,000+ streams and climbing on most major streaming platforms online. His rap+EDM song "Death of an Ego" has made musical waves for him ever since its release in December of 2017. His 2018 single "Slow Motion" where the artist experimented with outside production shows his versatility in the popular style of autotune rap, while his personal favorite song "Paper in my Pockets" demonstrates more organic rap/sing vocals in the pop+hiphop genre.
