Venezuelan Sentimiento Muerto started turing Caracas' club scene in 1981. After recording a demo of original songs on cassette, the band had the opportunity to sign up to Sono-Rodven, making an album called El Amor No Existe, Hay Que Hacerlo, produced by Argentine Latin rock star Fito Paez in 1987.
Around the same time, ex-Cero a la Izquierda José Echezuria replaced original guitarist Edgar Jiménez and drummer Sebastian Araujo took Alberto Cabello's place. Sentimiento Muerto's following record, Sin Sombra No Hay Luz, was produced by Guillermo Carrasco. After Héctor Castillo became their new bassist, Infecto de Afecto was recorded, which featured the hit single "Eva." ~ Drago Bonacich
