Level π is the German musician Uwe Cremer (January 13, 1965), whose musical style is in the context of Krautrock but includes elements of Electronic and Experimental music.
His first album "Entrance" was published in 2006 (Garden of Delights). His second album "Electronic Sheep" appeared on Musea in 2009. In 2011 Cremer released his third album "Dunkelstunde" without any help of a record label. Level π's compositions have been compared to work from Klaus Schulze, Ash Ra Temple and to Pink Floyd among others. His next release "This burning Part of Me" shows Cremer focusing on the dark, evocative pop-appeal of rhythmically driven post-punk. But you still find a lot of Krautrock in his music.
Cremer grew up in Iserlohn. He was introduced to Krautrock and electronic music at the age of 9 by Kraftwerk's Autobahn and Comet Melody 2. Further important genres are Progressive Rock, Gothic Rock and also Heavy Metal. At the age of 13, he got his first acoustic guitar and at the age of 23 his first electrical guitar. His first keyboard was a Yamaha PSR SQ 16. Now he works with Cubase, virtual Instruments and mainly his Fender Strat. Cremer lives in Cologne, Germany.
