This interplay between feelings high and low ended up giving way to something good: AROMA. Their relentless euphoria in the face of setbacks and new beginnings has made them what you can hear and see today. A sound somewhere between Jean-Michel Jarre
and The Doors
. Airy and clear on the one hand, dark and mesmerizing on the other – paired with the perfect imperfection of Kevin Parker (Tame Impala
). Two souls connected by the lust for self-realization – and more.
They let their feelings go without inhibition, best of all in their songs. Every note is played by hand and comes from guitars and analogue synthesizers – nothing else. They love music and other good musicians, soak up different genres like sponges and use their instruments and abilities to squeeze everything, including their feelings, into solid songs which elicit a sense of empathy. Love, hate, envy, zeal, power, beginning and end.
After countless recording sessions in their own studio, AROMA have found their sound and their way, and will be presenting this on their self-produced debut EP 'Bazar', available soon. But before that, the single 'Smile Like a Rainbow' is everywhere to be seen, heard and celebrated.
As unique and brilliant as a rainbow.
