Josh Del was born and raised in a small desert town in the Coachella Valley. With summer temperatures reaching over 120 degrees, he spent his days indoors, playing and recording music.
With gritty, soulful vocals and songs that reflect the polarity of life, Josh Del is sharing his heart on the human experience. In recent years he has developed a career as a songwriter, working with artists on cowrites for television and film, like the song, Save Me by Galactic Mrvl, which was featured on the 2018 World Cup. While Josh’s songwriting spans across many genres in the Pop, Rock and Country world, his personal music tends to lean toward the Americana/Roots Rock genre. His debut ep Old Crow, has been featured in several magazines and blogs, while the songs have been played across the United States and the world on hundreds of independent radio stations and playlists. In a recent project, Josh teamed up with documentary filmmakers to create an original track, After The Show for the documentary, When The Lights Go Down, a film that focuses on the iconic Brunson theater in Baytown, Texas. The film features Oscar nominated screenwriter (Apollo 13, Castaway, Jarhead) William Broyles jr. and is narrated by Wilford Brimley.
