My name is Sam Shupak & this is my story … I was born & raised in East Texas. I grew up with my younger brother & 2 parents who loved us.
I wore out a few boots & tires hunting on my family’s ranch & fishing with my buddies. I don’t know how you can ask for much more than that. I always loved music. My friends would ask me to play at bonfires. In high school I opened for many of the Texas & Nashville artists who played a nearby dancehall. I learned what songs the audience loved & how to play them. I had fun & so did they. During college I worked on a hunting ranch & played dance halls & events across Texas. In 2015, I toured as the opening act of the Yee Yee Nation tour with Granger Smith. I drove 7,000 miles with a truck bed full of t-shirts. I met hard-core country music fans in every state in the West. I watched Granger & his team work their tails off to give their audience a great show. I also found people liked my music. The tour gave me a little music know how & a lot of commitment to pursue it as a career. I saved my $ & headed to Nashville. I spent my time writing, recording, & making friends. I kept a busy music schedule playing 100+ dates a year. I’m working through the final stages of preparing to release new music soon. My song “Sweet Texas Nights” says, “there’s nothing wrong with taking chances as long as you’ve got something to prove.” That sums up where I’m at. We’ve got big dreams & a long journey… I hope to see you along the way.
