Reins is a West Australian born musician who began performing and releasing music in 2018. Reins is the solo project for Perth musician Chris Pearce, who has spent several years developing his craft in multiple musical outfits.
Chris started his musical career performing with metalcore outfit Anchored where he first began singing and playing guitar.
Chris went out to become the vocalist for the alternative rock outfit Cellophane who have gone on to perform with artists such as The Story So Far, Basement, Regurtitator, DZ Deathrays and many more.
Chris then joined as a member of Perth veteran melodic hardcore band Saviour to tour for their third Album ‘Let Me Leave’ and have gone on to do 5 Australian tours and contributed to the upcoming record.
Reins has a far softer touch to his sound than other projects. With music more similarly aligned with artists such as City & Colour, Ben Howard and Angus & Julia Stone, Reins has quickly found himself captivating audiences in cities around Australia. Reins first single ‘In Circles’ recieved a warm welcome from fans of his other ventures. He has since gone on to release an acoustic, stripped back track called ‘Armageddon’ and a somber road trip anthem ‘Drag Me Home’.
Reins has recently dedicated time to educate himself in sound production and will have a new self recorded single to come soon in 2019.
