Remember the Loveliness
Water of Life
Sharon Wiener was born in Montreal, Quebec, and currently lives in the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia.
After training for many years as a classical singer in Toronto she began writing and recording original meditative songs in 1994, releasing One Bright Pearl with producer/arranger George Koller in 1997, Boundless with producer/arranger Hans Christian in 2001, and Birdsong with producer/arranger Stu Goldberg in 2008. She has been greatly influenced by the Buddhist 'Dzogchen' teachings, and the paths leading to non-dual awareness. Her songs have also been inspired by the ecstatic poetry of medieval mystics such as Rumi, Lalla, Attar, Hafiz, Mirabai, Izumi Shikibu, and Jehuda Halevi, as well as by modern poets Ron Virgil Ellis and Kavita. She currently teaches meditation to individuals and continues to create and sing music that arises from a state of presence. Visit her website at: www.meditativesong.com
