Couros Sheibani produces downtempo house and left-field pop under his first name and also utilizes his multi-instrumentalist talent behind the scenes.
The London, England-based artist caught the studio bug when he was asked to provide guitar parts for a recording session. The first tracks of his own to reach the public were uploaded under the name Authr, an alias credited in 2014 with an official, Sony
-issued remix of Laura Doggett's "Moonshine." After Sheibani self-released his first singles as Couros in 2015 and 2016, he moved up to the Island
, where he made his label debut the latter year with the four-track EP Jupiter. "Young" and "Undertone" arrived in early 2018, just ahead of a second EP for PMR
. Couros' background work includes guitar on Angel
's About Time, keyboards on ZAYN's Top 30 U.K. hit "Like I Would," and additional collaborations with the likes of Sabella
and Fred Well
