A Boy Named John combines a tasteful mixture of explosive punk rock and post-hardcore along with the lush elements of indie rock to establish a multidimensional sound where no song sounds the same. The New Jersey sextet consists of vocalist Christian Singh, guitarists Josh Lustig and Jack Lips, bassist Nick Spillert, keyboardist/guitarist Paul Singh, and drummer Brandon Martinez.
In their 2016 debut album So We Live | So We Die, the group delivers their outspoken message by incorporating the delicacy of theatrical instrumentals, powerful vocal melodies, and their insightful and narrative lyrics. Their song “Gentlemen" has become an anthem in the New Jersey music scene and beyond for its impactful stand against sexual assault.
In April of 2018, A Boy Named John pushed their vision in a new direction with their ethereal single "Circuits".
