He formed My Version of It in 2000 with Dave Grind and soon released the Say-Ten Records Split 7" (with Oklahoma's The Pseudo Dropouts) "Unknown Members". He continues to record and gig with My Version of It.
In 2014, with a piling up of back catalog songs, Morris began releasing several acoustic albums including the 40 song set of sea-shanties and piratical songs "Songs of the Sea and Coast." In 2015 He released six albums and EPs and began focusing his solo work on more electronic music. He released "Start" (dubbed 8-bit folk) in 2015. Start combines traditional acoustic instruments with chip-tune music.
In addition to releasing music with My Version of It, Year of the Comet and solo as Jared Morris, he also works with Delaware producer The Sexfinger and leads the avant garde group WMC Fishclub. In 2017 he released his first book "Journal-ism" and he has worked in the radio business as an on air talent since 2004.
