LA-transplant Jenna Lotti originally began writing poetry for self-medication, singing her compositions to close friends who eventually convinced her to attend a local open mic.
Her unique mix of vulnerability and soulful talent was met with an overwhelmingly positive response, persuading the blooming singer songwriter to explore this creative outlet further.
Over the next few years she incessantly wrote tunes, learned to play the guitar and started recording YouTube videos (in her bathroom). Her first musical sketches drew heavily from her childhood musical influences in blues, soul and big band but she quickly began to firm up a more pop-centric sound as she commenced extensive tours of the East & West Coasts.
Her evolving maturity can be charted through her subsequent releases, 2 LP’s and 2 one-off singles, but the greatest leap in artistry came on the heels of her move from Boston to LA this past year – during which she wrote and tracked the single “Warning Signs” for her forthcoming self-titled EP.
Working closely with her husband, guitarist Chris Facey and producer Josh Friedman, Lotti conjured up a 5 song EP (due out later this year) that distills her signature soul-drenched vulnerability into a broadly accessible touch of arena ready pop, mixing her compelling songwriting with glitzy production and radio ready hooks.
