From Pop-Punk to Acoustic Dad-Rock, Nick Machado and The Idle Bones is the evolution of music through the life of a singer/songwriter determined to create and grow as an artist.
<br>Nick formed and fronted the Northern Bay Area-based Pop Punk quintet, The Hit System, from 2007-2013. Alongside his friends and band mates, Jimmy Lehman, Erik Falkowski, Ben Perdition and Jan Lembke, they played energetic punk tunes drawn from a wide array of influences. The Hit System released 2 full-length albums and a final E.P. After their last show in 2013, Nick took a break from music to find himself as a father and a husband. It didn’t take long for the creative unrest to set in. Drunk off inspiration from artists such as Chuck Ragan, Dave Hause, Northcote and Cory Branan, Nick booked studio time in 2017 with no songs, no direction, and no plan other than to find music again from a very new perspective. What started as a solo project, evolved into a partnership when Nick brought Jimmy in to work some leads out for the songs. The Idle Bones was created to represent the open door for friends and band mates to accompany Nick on this musical journey.
