Their parents' record collection - which included plenty of Bonnie Raitt, Little Feat, Ry Cooder, Lyle Lovett and John Hiatt - provided inspiration to the brothers in their teens. Deciding early on to be in their own band, they worked separately, backing other musicians until they were in their twenties before realizing their goal. The Bros. Landreth also includes drummer Ryan Voth and guitarist Ariel Posen. All four sing.
The band recorded their debut album Let It Lie with producer Murray Pulver. Featuring "I Am The Fool," written by their dad - who also sang on the album - it was self-release in Canada in late 2013. Gathering massive critical success, they began touring and playing radio and television programs. They became road dogs in 2014, touring Canada and select cities south of their nation's border. They made a splash at 2014's South by Southwest in Austin, Texas. Shortly afterward, Let It Lie was picked up by the U.S-based label Slate Creek Records and re-released in early 2015. ~ Thom Jurek, Rovi
