Based in Chicago, Third Coast Percussion is a percussion ensemble formed by Sean Connors, Robert Dillon
, Peter Martin, and David Skidmore.
The group concentrates on contemporary repertoire for percussion, and is known for its virtuosic performances of new music, often given in collaboration with other artists, including the Garth Newel Piano Quartet, eighth blackbird
, the International Contemporary Ensemble
, Signal, and Hubbard Street Dance, as well as with individual musicians such as Amy Briggs, Lisa Moore
, Nicholas Photinos, and Tim Munro. Third Coast Percussion has commissioned and premiered works by Augusta Read Thomas
