SÉVIGNÉ is a parisian band formed in 2017 around the compositions of Romain Palmieri (voice) and P.H.
Welsh (bass, synth) and the musical imagination of Elie Gaulin (guitar) and Fabien Tessier (drums). Deeply marked by Manchester’s new wave and post punk - New Order, The Smiths or Joy Division - the project also calls in more diverse influences like Eels, Ariel Pink, or James Blake.
May 2017, the band releases its debut 4-tracks EP produced by the French Label December Square (Oaks) and distributed thanks to ELAP (49 Swimming Pools) and produce a music video with the photographer Misha De Ridder (in line with his exhibit 'Falaises' at the FOAM museum in Amsterdam).
September 2019, Sévigné releases 'Somes Places' on December Square, Magon, Orouni, Oaks, Matthew Edwards & The Unfortunates, Emmanuel Tellier (www.december-square.com) and distributed by Differ-Ant.
