Dream-pop/folk project Rosemary & Garlic, solely lead by Dutch singer Anne van den Hoogen, return with their first new track in nearly two years.
Recorded earlier this year with mixing done by Ian Grimble (Daughter, Mumford & Sons, Bear’s Den), “Frames” is an atmospheric slice of delicate melancholy which Rosemary & Garlic have finely crafted over the past few years, all underpinned by van den Hoogen’s strikingly ethereal vocals.
Rosemary & Garlic recorded and self-released their debut EP The Kingfisher in 2014. Since then the popularity of the band’s brand of indie-folk infused dream-pop has grown, gaining attention and a fanbase across the world. “Old Now”, taken from the debut has amassed an impressive 34 million-plus streams and placed prominently on key streaming playlists. 2018 saw the release of their self-titled debut studio album via Nettwerk Records (Passenger, The Paper Kites, Boy & Bear). Contemporary artist Gregory Euclide, who is most famously known for creating the artwork for Bon Iver’s critically acclaimed second album, created the album’s gorgeous and striking artwork. They have since then appeared at renowned international festivals such as SXSW (US), The Great Escape (UK) and Reeperbahn Festival (DE). Since the departure of co-founding member Dolf Smolenaers, R&G is now a solo project of singer Anne van den Hoogen.
