MOAT is a collaboration between guitarist/singer-songwriter Marty Willson-Piper and composer/multi-instrumentalist Niko Röhlcke (Weeping Willows).
The project captures the fusion of sparse Scandinavian beauty and English folk sensibilities, filmic and evocative.
MOAT's self-titled debut album was recorded during the summer of 2012. A track from the album entitled Try and Make Sense was used in the Swedish police television drama “Arne Dahl” in the final episode of series one, entitled “Europa Blues”.
MOAT’s long-awaited second album Poison Stream will be released through Schoolkids Records in early 2021. The first taster, Gone By Noon, is now available via Spotify.
